This organ facade is just like the facade on Mike Kitner's bruder organ, because of the creepy looking head at the top. Mike kitner's bruder organ appears in the video "bruder organ - merry widow waltz" .
Wouldn't it be safer to have the flywheel handle removable, when you're using the motor? That thing could give a nasty wallop, as you come around the corner!
Yes, he used wood trumpets. I'm not sure if piccolos (flageolets) were added or not. Prinsen sold the organ and case only. He could get a facade made if requested. I got my facade pieces carved in Holland, and attached them to the backer-board myself. I good local artist painted it for me.
I'm not sure if he still makes them. When he built this organ, it was perhaps three or four large organs per year. He also made this 47-key size with a "fairground" voicing. That is, with trumpets and violin on melody.
I've seen the organ before in a couple of montages. She's a real beaut. I have a friend who owns a small a.prinson street organ. How often does Mr.Prinson make street organs?

The same reason Perlee's name was on all his organs: he owned them.

If the organ was built by Arthur Prinsen, why is Philip Jamison's name on the front?

I think you should remove that handle when using the motor. Someone's going to get knocked in the head.... :-(

Are you guys members of the COAA? If so, do you ever attend any rallies?
jonathan3t22a 2 years ago
Yes, I'm a member but I haven't been to their rallies as yet. I have been to a few MBSI organ rallies over the years.

COAA rallies are so much fun. Your organ would be very popular. I try to get to a few a year, but I have no organ.

I always thought the trumpets [now that I think about it] remind me of a french fair organ a little bit.

A well-intended word of advice: remove the handle from the wheel when using the motor ;)
