How can you record a flight without catching the outside noise of the cabin I wanna record the fligh and also the audio of me and the tower, what camcorders you recommend and also any adapters?
@evilmontezuma87 (response from Kevin)... to capture the audio, you need a camcorder with a mic input, not all cameras have this, so shop around. I recommend Canon for camcorders, but some people prefer Sony. Secondly, you need an adapter that plugs into your headset line... you can buy that at Aircraft Spruce online, P/N 11-00692.
The FS200 is nice, it has a mic input. You need the headset adapter P/N 11-00692. I usually have somebody handhold the camera. OR... you can use a suction cup mount to stick the camera to the inside window, Fat Gecko or any other company.
@KD1video Thanks so much for helping me. Do you adjust the volume as same as your headset? I am just concern on recording and the audio dont come out great at all.

Hey I'm a fellow AAI student. I just flew my first 'night' yesterday (not technically but to me pitch-black means night). Who's your instructor? How many hours do you have?
Ok yeah I can just barely see the antenna. Just currious, do you own your plane or do you rent? If you own, do you have pannel or instrument back lighting?
I spoke with my instructor today and he has agreed to let me start filming my lessons. I'm done flying for the winter but should be able to post something in the spring.
That's great that you are taking lessons, good luck with that. Regarding the aircraft I fly, I rent. I fly planes from the 1980's to new, so they all have different instrument panels, some with no light at all. The G1000 is nice at night, since it is a flat panel LCD screen, perfect for night flight, if not too bright.
Hey Kevin, another great Video. I'm not sure if it was my monitor or the video, but I had a hard time seeing the flight deck. But the shots of the city came out great. Little high on final though, but great touch down! Just past the numbers. I look forward to your next one.
Good comment. I turned down the flight deck lighting, that's why it doesn't show on the video. Regarding runway 13 left, pilots must be careful landing here at night, so I stayed a bit high on the glideslope. The ILS antenna for runway 13 right is almost in the path for the left, so I stay high until I can visually see it and confirm I will not hit it. This runway is only used in VFR conditions. The antenna is visible in the video up to the 3:00 mark. Cheers.

@KD1video I just purchased a Canon FS 200 and I am looking for the adaptor any recommendations. Also did you use a tri pod to clip on the cockpit?
