I love this song but the lyrics scare me. The life you're leading is dangerous? Maybe Michael would have had a happier life if he had not been so world famous. But it's hard to imagine him choosing any other vocation. He was born to sing, dance and entertain. I just wish he'd had a happier life.

I love Michael's voice in this song, but then again Michael sounds good in every song he sings. But this song is a little different because Jackie is singing also. It's nice to here one of the other brothers singing with Michael.

Total MJ fan. Just started getting into his older stuff. So far I'm loving The Jacksons' stuff. They have a lot of hidden gems. Listening to the lyrics of this song, it really seems like MJ definitely has some autobiographical lines and really listening to it makes me a sad, especially with MJ's passing. It seems like there was always that sadness in MJ's life and it's all foreshadowing what's to come...

I believe Destiny was the first LP the boys "produced" with artistic and creative control all by themselves. There's no "producer" credit, if I remember correctly, other than themselves on the album jacket and there's not one pictured in the gatefold or on the sleeve, other than photos of the boys in the studio and at the console to drive the point home, no doubt.

@dazv555 aww, you're welcome! :) & no, i wasn't born during that time. i was born in 1988, during the "Bad" era. ;) Destiny was a very successful album for the Jacksons, as well as their Destiny Tour that helped promote the album. the songs on the Destiny album were & still are very famous; the most being "Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)".
