You realice u will brick your controller because all you do is short circuit the controller and that will reset the RBG led + the battery will overheat or get destroyed

That is one of the stupidest controller mods I have ever seen! He makes it seem like it is cool but it just looks like the button has faulty connections and reacts to certain buttons being pushed. What is so cool about an led that turns on when you push left and down on the right joystick? Not to mention it shorts out when you push buttons hard enough. Keep doing that and the LED will short. Just install a tactical button instead of using existing buttons that you push all of the time in games.

it would be cooler if say, you his X and it turns blue, you hit triangle and it turns green, ect, ect............i took apart my sixaxis after the battery died, just to see if i could replace the battery....i couldn't, i love the PS3, but not the biggest fan of their controller : /

you can replace the battery you just need to buy the battery from the ps website, they sell spares

no the wire that goes from the circuit board to the battery pops out and snaps back in like a usb except not a usb

yeah I just watched a 10 minute video of some poor guy replacing his sixaxis battery, Sony makes replacing that battery just a walk in the park huh.

i really hope on the PS4 they not only update their stone age PS controller, but also make a replaceable battery like the 360. agian.....love sony.....but that controller is the shits.

This does NOT kill battery faster..

LED take very VERY little to power.

You could fill an entire truck with LEDs, constantly on, and it wouldn't kill the battery for a week and a half

Cool mod.

Would have been a lot better if the light in the ps3 home button lit up according to the colour of the button icon pressed on the right part of the pad. Like blue for cross, Pink for square, red for circle and green for triangle.
