Catwomen was a good movie. The superman movie was so-so. The first batman and the second movies was good too. The other third and fourth batman movies was so-so, but OK.

Hope it is good and does not involve the main fight being based around tension created by "out of power charge". Was the same problem with Superman Returns. I could take kick Superman around too if I had an island of kryptonite. People dont go to watch superhero movies to see the super"Hero" get kicked around without his powers, powers which are the primary attraction of the movie, for fans and laymen alike.
Well i just hope we get to see the justice league movie with all the actors together playing their movie characters.Should be an expensive movie but it would be awesome!!

I hope they depict the Corps. well. First Flight, though I know was an animated film, did a rather bad job depicting the characters other than Hal Jordan. The Guardians for one were just... well, they weren't the Guardians. Everyone but me hates them, I know, but they're Godly, cosmically aware, immortal beings that have a grand mystique to them that was seriously downplayed in First Flight by the comedy and the fact that Sinestro by himself beat them all, when one alone could blink and kill him

@penclartst I can understand what you're saying, the Lex Luthor characters strength is in his intellect, cunning, schemeing and so on not his physical strength, unless you count that super powered suit they show him with from time to time in cartoons, but there are other superpowered villians that they could put Superman up against in live action films if people want to see more fighting, such as the obivious choice of Doomsday, or Darkseid, Metallo, Lobo, Mongol or Bizzaro, but to each his own
I liked "Superman Returns", actually. I thought Brandon Routh did a pretty good job, both as Clark Kent and as the Man of Steel, no matter how his co-cast did. I hope they bring him back for the new trilogy.

WTF is are you talking about? NO ONE was throwing their popcorn at "Superman Returns" in fact when i went to see it, the movie was sold out 10 minutes after i got my ticket .Also the theater was pacted with people and at the end of the movie people were applausing.

Anyways i have reviewed the making of the movie and it was said that the suit is actully computer animated and not a costume which i think pretty retarted unless they are giving the suit some spectacular features like a green glow of some sort.

Couldn't agree more! It's looking like Sinestro will be in this one - with Mark Strong no less to take on the role (which i think is brilliant)! What I'm wondering is: will this be a prelude to a potential series of movies involving the Blackest Night storyline??? I would love to think so...but sadly...the Bruce Wayne being 'dead' and such would just confuse too many people. Either way, if they do good on this one like they did with Nolan's Batman flics (as you said), it should be awesome!

Director Martin Campbell reports TIM ROBBINS joined the Green Lantern cast.
Robbins plays SENATOR HAMMOND, a disapproving father of the villain, Dr. Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard), a pathologist who gets mental powers & spends much of his time trying to kill his critical dad. RYAN REYNOLDS stars as Green Lantern, BLAKE LIVELY as Carol Ferris, & Mark Strong as Sinestro who won't be a villain in the movie.
Filming is set to start in New Orleans this March & is set for release on June 17, 2011.
Superman Returns was a great film and would have been recognized for one if WB had kept true to the contracted with Singer. Originally the next movie "Superman Man of Steel" was going to conclude the story line with the addition of a major threat from outer space. One story line considered was the Death of Superman at the hands of Doomsday, with the end of the film having his young son picking up the mantel of Superman.
dude i agree with you about catwoman but superman returns was an excellent film,the new batman movies are better than excellent. again superman returns was a really good. it was definatley better than 3 and 4. and better than 2 but not quite as good as the original. SUPERMAN RETURNS WAS A 3 1/2 STARS.
Earlier this week we got a 1st look at some members of the Green Lantern Corps through the film's official concept art. Since then, more images have popped up for Sinestro & the Guardians. These images of the Guardians & Sinestro, as well as the previous images of Kilowog, Tomar-Re & Abin Sur may not be what the characters end up looking like on screen. These are confirmed as official concept art but there could be plenty of other designs or changes made when bringing the characters to life.
Today Variety reports Sony serves as the lead f/x studio on Green Lantern. The overall effects supervisors are still Karen Goulekas & Kent Houston. The film will have over 1,300 visual effects, which is a heck of a lot and isn't going to be cheap. Looks like GL is completely on-track for the film's planned shooting in March. It's just one of many comic adaptations in the works, w/ others including Thor, Captain America & of course, The Avengers, all of which are coming out in a couple of years.
2 weeks ago we found out from Martin Campbell that Mark Strong was in talks to play Sinestro. He also revealed that we'll be seeing some of the stranger Green Lanterns as well including Kilowog, Tomar-Re & Abin Sur. Heres the segment of the interview:
"Well, Kilowog will be... Tomar-Re is in it. Sinestro's in it. Abin Sur is in it. All the origin people. Carol Ferris, who is played by Blake Lively. All main characters are there & it's a complex story, which makes it a challenge to get right."
Though Hal Jordan is an earthling, it looks like he's gonna spend a bit of time in space in GREEN LANTERN. The movie is an origin story, like how Parker learns his new "spider" abilities; Hal Jordan is going to require training as a GL. Most of us already know Ryan Reynolds will be wearing the Green Lantern suit in space. Joining him is Blake Lively (Carol Ferris) & Peter Sarsgaard (Hector Hammond, THE VILLAIN). Martin Campbell confirms that he's interested in Mark Strong to play as Sinestro.
Green Lantern Movie Spends Lots of Time in Space. Director Martin Campbell talked w/ MTV again about Green Lantern. This time, the talk was about how much time the film will spend in space. He replied:
"I don't know what the percentage is but there's quite a bit in space. The initial trip up there, the training sessions he has to go through in order to become a Green Lantern . There are a couple of bits on Earth in between. I think there will be enough to satisfy everybody."
Obviously there needs to be a balance since villain Hector Hammond isn't exactly based in outer space & Hal's love interest Carol Ferris has an Earth-based life also. This will make a unique superhero movie since the only films that had ever had any focus on outer space have been Superman & Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Hopefully I haven't missed any? As always we're looking forward to hearing whatever bits of info we can, & we will keep you updated on the development of Green Lantern.

Before TDK & BM Begins there was always BATMAN(1989). This 1989 film is a classic in almost every possible sense. Its a stylized film depending whether or not you buy into the style. W/out a doubt what makes it truly memorable is a psychotic Joker played by Jack Nicholson. Michael K. also proves to be an ideal type for Tim Burtons Batman. Keaton portrays the craziness & duality of Batman & Bruce Wayne very well. You're never sure whether he'll completely crack or keep it together & save the day.
But now, the 3rd "Batman" with Kilmer replacing Michael Keaton as the Caped Crusader & Jim Carrey out-mugging Jack Nicholson's Joker as the Riddler was a COMPLETE DISASTER in "Batman Forever" as well as "Batman & Robin" with its DREADFUL & HORRIBLE performances as Mr. Freeze turns the world into an iceberg, while Poison Ivy wants it to be a rainforest. Batman, now played by George Clooney, soon fights Robin for the love of Poison Ivy. Alfred is dying & Barbara comes to visit & becomes Batgirl.
If youre wondering if Green Lanterns like TDK or Iron Man heres Director Campbells reply:
Its more in the tone of Iron Man. Certainly not Batman which is pretty dark. No, hes the Hal Jordan character whos the sort of shoot from the hip, irresponsible kind of cocky test pilot if you will. Hal seems to be the least likely to be chosen as Green Lantern. Well, of course thats the fun of it. So no, itll be much more like Iron Man. So itll have one foot in reality if you see what I mean.
Hes a psychological character. His powers are psychological. Theyre to do with will & the enemy is fear & so on and so forth. So hes a much more complex character and also again, its the only superhero to go to another planet, so youre creating at least another world. How do you create the lamp? Whats the origin of the lamp? You got the guardians. Youve got the central battery. You got all this stuff that youve got to deal with you know?
He will make a fantastic Sinestro - and having him as Abin Sur's Protege/ Hal's Mentor will be awesome.
Little disappointing that Ryan reynolds chose Hal Jordan over Wally west, although its tough to say who he could play better - My vote for Flash would be Bradley Cooper.
SINESTRO MIGHT NOT BE BAD VILLAIN AFTER ALL. It seems pretty clear that in the movie SINESTRO WILL STILL BE A LOYAL MEMBER of the Green Lantern Corps & a MENTOR to Hal Jordan as a Green Lantern RATHER than having him as a villain. Those unclearly familiar with Green Lantern or Sinestro might not realize that very important aspect of the relationship between Hal and Sinestro.

"I think it will stick closely to the origin story, but we all know Sinestro, for an example, is a character who goes over to the dark side, and of course, Carol, played by Blake Lively, in later versions becomes a bad guy as well. I think people will be able to see forward to the characters that in the comic went on to (become bad guys)... but people will be ahead of us on all that I think."
Ive just found that while we had heard a rumor that Jackie Earle Haley might be in talks to play SINESTRO, it now looks as though that HE IS NOT, NOR WAS HE EVER. MTV caught up w/ Director Campbell during a junket & asked about Sinestro. According to Campbell:
No, thats completely wrong. In fact, were in negotiations with MARK STRONG TO PLAY SINESTRO. Hes not only a wonderful actor, but HE LOOKS LIKE SINESTRO.
Campbell also provided details about the other characters in the film:

Casting news has started coming w/ back-to-back statements that CARROL FERRIS AKA STAR SAPPHIRE & Peter Saarsgard will play the evil telepath HECTOR HAMMOND, one of the films confirmed VILLAINS.
Synopsis of HAMMOND as he may appear in the film (possible spoilers):
Hammond claims to be Carol Ferris boyfriend. Its revealed that hes just a consultant for Ferris Aircraft. While inspecting Abin Surs crashed aircraft, Hammond is affected by a meteorite in its reactor which grows his brain bigger enabling him to read minds, including Carol Ferris & Hal Jordan who he realizes is Green Lantern . WB does well by hiring Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern & Blake Lively as Carol Ferris. WB may have made the perfect move by hiring PETER SARSGAARD to play the villain(NOT SINESTRO). I gotta agree on how the relationship between Sinestro and Hal Jordan should expand through several movies, at least have him turn to the dark side in a sequel. It would be so sweeeeeet!
With WB & DC Entertainments next big comic flick getting the green light & 10 weeks before filming begins, WB has a lot of decision-making & needs to fill the cast of their big budget intro to one of DCs main characters. Blake Lively is selected to run the role of CARROL FARRIS, who runs an aerospace co. & hires test pilot Hal Jordan (Ryan R), who later becomes an intergalactic policeman. Shes a basic piece of the plot, whos later given a power of a crystal & becomes a VILLIAN: STAR SAPPHIRE.
Word of GREEN LANTERN officially moving forward comes from the visual effects supervisor, Karen Goulekas, who announced it on her blog. She said the film got green-lit & that shooting will take place ten weeks from now. Note: Supposedly GREEN LANTERN is to have over 1300 visual effects shots. Variety has confirmed that Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick is chosen by Fox to pen the script for the film about the Merc w/ a Mouth. Theyve yet to form an agenda for X-Men Origins: Deadpool but if the script is done, theres a window at the end of summer. Ryan had a moment that stood out from the rest & as he got to choose a GL costume for the film. Seeing the model for the GL outfit was Ryans big moment. i think seth rogen will do a great job as the GL, they should just focus on the origin and zinistro(dont know how to spell). iU thought they wouldnt make this because its not dark enough for DC, ever since Dark Knight they wanna make the hero movies darker...I thought thats why they scrapped the Flash and the next Superman movie.

The next Supes movie still has Brian Singer attached to it. Even though he should not be allowed to make a comic book movie ever again. But I'm sure they will drop him from it. And I agree about Routh. He was great. I like to think of Superman Returns as the "real" Superman 3. Think about it. If you just looked at the first 2 and made this 3, it would have made alot more sense and ppl probably would have liked it more.

Green Lantern (6/17/2011): Hal Jordan is granted a mystical green ring giving him powers & membership to an intergalactic squadron tasked w/ keeping peace w/in the universe. The film ISN"T based on the comic, but on the character himself. Guy Gardner & an older Alan Scott (a former GL) who now working for the gov has a brief cameo. Kent also has a small cameo according to script. The film shoots this month. There's humor & action: think a similar tone to IRON MAN rather than The Dark Knight.
Well, IMO, I thought Singer did a great job in his direction, but you are right, he made a bad decision by approving a story that was basically the same in the original Superman.
I'm not the biggest Green Lantern fan (hell, the fist time I took intrest in a green lantern was those Justice Leage episodes where he goes on trail, and this wasn't Hal Jordon) but after a few years, I wish the store I go to for comic books had afew Green Lantern stories.
I didn't think the movie was THAT bad, just not very memorable.

I hope they depict the Corps. well. First Flight, though I know was an animated film, did a rather bad job depicting the characters other than Hal Jordan. The Guardians for one were just... well, they weren't the Guardians. Everyone but me hates them, I know, but they're Godly, cosmically aware, immortal beings that have a grand mystique to them that was seriously downplayed in First Flight by the comedy and the fact that Sinestro by himself beat them all, when one alone could blink and kill him

@penclartst I can understand what you're saying, the Lex Luthor characters strength is in his intellect, cunning, schemeing and so on not his physical strength, unless you count that super powered suit they show him with from time to time in cartoons, but there are other superpowered villians that they could put Superman up against in live action films if people want to see more fighting, such as the obivious choice of Doomsday, or Darkseid, Metallo, Lobo, Mongol or Bizzaro, but to each his own

I liked "Superman Returns", actually. I thought Brandon Routh did a pretty good job, both as Clark Kent and as the Man of Steel, no matter how his co-cast did. I hope they bring him back for the new trilogy.

Anyways i have reviewed the making of the movie and it was said that the suit is actully computer animated and not a costume which i think pretty retarted unless they are giving the suit some spectacular features like a green glow of some sort.

Couldn't agree more! It's looking like Sinestro will be in this one - with Mark Strong no less to take on the role (which i think is brilliant)! What I'm wondering is: will this be a prelude to a potential series of movies involving the Blackest Night storyline??? I would love to think so...but sadly...the Bruce Wayne being 'dead' and such would just confuse too many people. Either way, if they do good on this one like they did with Nolan's Batman flics (as you said), it should be awesome!

Director Martin Campbell reports TIM ROBBINS joined the Green Lantern cast.
Robbins plays SENATOR HAMMOND, a disapproving father of the villain, Dr. Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard), a pathologist who gets mental powers & spends much of his time trying to kill his critical dad. RYAN REYNOLDS stars as Green Lantern, BLAKE LIVELY as Carol Ferris, & Mark Strong as Sinestro who won't be a villain in the movie.
Filming is set to start in New Orleans this March & is set for release on June 17, 2011.

Superman Returns was a great film and would have been recognized for one if WB had kept true to the contracted with Singer. Originally the next movie "Superman Man of Steel" was going to conclude the story line with the addition of a major threat from outer space. One story line considered was the Death of Superman at the hands of Doomsday, with the end of the film having his young son picking up the mantel of Superman.

Earlier this week we got a 1st look at some members of the Green Lantern Corps through the film's official concept art. Since then, more images have popped up for Sinestro & the Guardians. These images of the Guardians & Sinestro, as well as the previous images of Kilowog, Tomar-Re & Abin Sur may not be what the characters end up looking like on screen. These are confirmed as official concept art but there could be plenty of other designs or changes made when bringing the characters to life.

Today Variety reports Sony serves as the lead f/x studio on Green Lantern. The overall effects supervisors are still Karen Goulekas & Kent Houston. The film will have over 1,300 visual effects, which is a heck of a lot and isn't going to be cheap. Looks like GL is completely on-track for the film's planned shooting in March. It's just one of many comic adaptations in the works, w/ others including Thor, Captain America & of course, The Avengers, all of which are coming out in a couple of years.

Obviously there needs to be a balance since villain Hector Hammond isn't exactly based in outer space & Hal's love interest Carol Ferris has an Earth-based life also. This will make a unique superhero movie since the only films that had ever had any focus on outer space have been Superman & Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Hopefully I haven't missed any? Before TDK & BM Begins there was always BATMAN(1989). This 1989 film is a classic in almost every possible sense. Its a stylized film depending whether or not you buy into the style. W/out a doubt what makes it truly memorable is a psychotic Joker played by Jack Nicholson. Michael K. also proves to be an ideal type for Tim Burtons Batman. Keaton portrays the craziness & duality of Batman & Bruce Wayne very well. You're never sure whether he'll completely crack or keep it together & save the day.

Its more in the tone of Iron Man. Certainly not Batman which is pretty dark. No, hes the Hal Jordan character whos the sort of shoot from the hip, irresponsible kind of cocky test pilot if you will. Hal seems to be the least likely to be chosen as Green Lantern. Well, of course thats the fun of it. So no, itll be much more like Iron Man. So itll have one foot in reality if you see what I mean.

Hes a psychological character. His powers are psychological. Theyre to do with will & the enemy is fear & so on and so forth. So hes a much more complex character and also again, its the only superhero to go to another planet, so youre creating at least another world. How do you create the lamp? He will make a fantastic Sinestro - and having him as Abin Sur's Protege/ Hal's Mentor will be awesome.
Little disappointing that Ryan reynolds chose Hal Jordan over Wally west, although its tough to say who he could play better - My vote for Flash would be Bradley Cooper.

SINESTRO MIGHT NOT BE BAD VILLAIN AFTER ALL. It seems pretty clear that in the movie SINESTRO WILL STILL BE A LOYAL MEMBER of the Green Lantern Corps & a MENTOR to Hal Jordan as a Green Lantern RATHER than having him as a villain. Those unclearly familiar with Green Lantern or Sinestro might not realize that very important aspect of the relationship between Hal and Sinestro.

"I think it will stick closely to the origin story, but we all know Sinestro, for an example, is a character who goes over to the dark side, and of course, Carol, played by Blake Lively, in later versions becomes a bad guy as well. Ive just found that while we had heard a rumor that Jackie Earle Haley might be in talks to play SINESTRO, it now looks as though that HE IS NOT, NOR WAS HE EVER. MTV caught up w/ Director Campbell during a junket & asked about Sinestro. According to Campbell:

well, batman wears black tights and the bat mask is to scare criminals blah blah blah yknow it IS kind of childish, i mean it was originally made for children and even tho the comics are now aimed more at teens and adults due to more sophisticated writing at it's core it's still a concept directed at children. but it's FUN. what's wrong with enjoying something childish? it's entertaining. everyone loves batman, even if it's just a nostalgic remembering how much u liked it as a kid.

Synopsis of HAMMOND as he may appear in the film (possible spoilers):
Hammond claims to be Carol Ferris boyfriend. Its revealed that hes just a consultant for Ferris Aircraft. While inspecting Abin Surs crashed aircraft, Hammond is affected by a meteorite in its reactor which grows his brain bigger enabling him to read minds, including Carol Ferris & Hal Jordan who he realizes is Green Lantern . His powers keep Hal from using his ring, & is stopped when Sinestro cuts off his air supply.

With WB & DC Entertainments next big comic flick getting the green light & 10 weeks before filming begins, WB has a lot of decision-making & needs to fill the cast of their big budget intro to one of DCs main characters. Blake Lively is selected to run the role of CARROL FARRIS, who runs an aerospace co. & hires test pilot Hal Jordan (Ryan R), who later becomes an intergalactic policeman. Shes a basic piece of the plot, whos later given a power of a crystal & becomes a VILLIAN: STAR SAPPHIRE.

Word of GREEN LANTERN officially moving forward comes from the visual effects supervisor, Karen Goulekas, who announced it on her blog. She said the film got green-lit & that shooting will take place ten weeks from now. Note: Supposedly GREEN LANTERN is to have over 1300 visual effects shots. GREEN LANTERN hits theaters on July 7th, 2011. More news will come on the project.

Variety has confirmed that Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick is chosen by Fox to pen the script for the film about the Merc w/ a Mouth. Ryan R. is now at work w/ physical training to bulk up for his Green Lantern shoot this summer. Theyve yet to form an agenda for X-Men Origins: Deadpool but if the script is done, theres a window at the end of summer. If all things fall in place & it begins later this year, the film may debut in the summer of 2011. Are you excited to see official progress on the film?

He played in the Wolverine movie, Blade Trinity and in the comedy series Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place. In that one he was the best because he is a comedian.

Ryan had a moment that stood out from the rest & as he got to choose a GL costume for the film. Seeing the model for the GL outfit was Ryans big moment. It was a moment when he was like, This is happening & its happening in the right way. Its a pretty cool, definitive moment for Him. Green Lantern opens in theaters 6/17/2011

The main thing that got me pissed at Superman Returns is Superman was fuckin drinking beer!
I drink beer, don't get me wrong. But Superman is the boyscout of superheroes!
But with the hype of the Blackest Night, I'm sure GL will be at least good.

i think seth rogen will do a great job as the GL, they should just focus on the origin and zinistro(dont know how to spell). iU thought they wouldnt make this because its not dark enough for DC, ever since Dark Knight they wanna make the hero movies darker...I thought thats why they scrapped the Flash and the next Superman movie.

The next Supes movie still has Brian Singer attached to it. Even though he should not be allowed to make a comic book movie ever again. But I'm sure they will drop him from it. And I agree about Routh. He was great. I like to think of Superman Returns as the "real" Superman 3. Think about it. If you just looked at the first 2 and made this 3, it would have made alot more sense and ppl probably would have liked it more.

How can he compare "The dark knight " with catwoman. The dark knight was a fantastik movie even tough he feels that it dident folow the comic book storyline. I hope the green lantern turns out great:)

Green Lantern (6/17/2011): Hal Jordan is granted a mystical green ring giving him powers & membership to an intergalactic squadron tasked w/ keeping peace w/in the universe. The film ISN"T based on the comic, but on the character himself. Guy Gardner & an older Alan Scott (a former GL) who now working for the gov has a brief cameo. Kent also has a small cameo according to script. The film shoots this month. There's humor & action: think a similar tone to IRON MAN rather than The Dark Knight.

Superman Returns was well directed, but just had a very lame story.....Dark Knight rocked!!!!...DC comics needs a boost. Hopefully GL will be it.

I'm not the biggest Green Lantern fan (hell, the fist time I took intrest in a green lantern was those Justice Leage episodes where he goes on trail, and this wasn't Hal Jordon) but after a few years, I wish the store I go to for comic books had afew Green Lantern stories.
