I believe every state to be its own country, especially the ones down South, which were, although briefly - but legally, sovereign. People think that because you're not sovereign it means you cease to be a country, and that's not true. If that was the case, terms like sovereign country or independent nation, wouldn't make sense... there's such thing as a nation or a country that is not sovereign for a number of reasons. Scotland, Wales, etc, are not a sovereign, but still are distinct countries.

This is the reason the South left the Union. For all the Northern Government School Students that don't understand this is the best example I have ever heard. The states should under the Constitution govern themselves, except for the powers of Congress. The tenth amendment limits the federal government not the state government.

I'm in Florence, SC and appreciate my state's history of being the first to secede from the union.. we don't need oppressive federal gov't intervening from cradle to grave. can i join the SC League of the South?

Amen brother RedShirtArmy i have had a chance to hear MR.Robert Hayes speak many many times and he is right on the money South Carolina is my Country and Abbeville sure is a Beautiful part of our State in the Palmetto state.He was our guest speaker in Kershaw County S.C.

Mr Hayes is a great man - a true patriot for standing up so bolding for our sovereignty and interests. We need an army of folks just like him and we could free our land again.
