  • mine also lights up the "speaker light" is that normal or is it an indication that the speaker is wired out of phase (+to- instead of + to + let me know! mine is hard to get at otherwise I'd just reverse the speaker wires and find out

  • @ishredu the light indicates it is working. It is supposed to light up.

  • dude this siren is awesome and i love the way that you use it and show us how to use it!! thanks for that!! but i have one question...im buying this siren soon with a whelen speaker, what do i need to get the entire thing turned on and working through the speaker?? do i need a bunch of cables to set it up or does it come with it?? please help me bro i really wanna set this thing up. thanks!!

  • wait does that volume switch make the siren more quiet /more louder ( example: like a volume switch for the radio?)

  • @christianpolice no, just the PA system

  • ok thanks mi siren also dosen''t have i am making sure

  • THIS SIREN NOT HAVE A FEDERAL Q2B OR MECHANICAL SOUND?

  • @sammy1234452 No it does not.

  • that is not DJ equipment it is a emergency responce tool, if you would have used it like us real emergency workers do it would be a better video. still i guess you got the point across but come on man its not a toy

  • i have one but i not no how to change the sounds

  • @sammy1234452 theres a tiny button on the back..read the manual and it will clearly show you what you need to do

  • Your neighbors probably love you.

  • hey im buying one of these but have no idea where to go from there. What do the 10 amp fuses do? Does everything else come with the siren? I plan on buying a 100 watt speaker from radio shack but I have no idea how to hook this thing up to my car. What is powering your siren in this video?

  • @Gman027 The fuse is used to just ensure that the siren doesn't get affected by any electrical problems made by the power source. It is always a good idea to hook a fuse up to any electrical component just to ensure the component doeskin break. I am running it off a 12 volt battery I had laying around. It is very simple to hook up, a power wire goes to the pos. terminal of the battery, the ground wire goes to a ground or the neg. terminal of the battery. There are two wires for the speaker.

  • Does this have the powercall on it? The woop and the warble

  • @Gman027 no powercall or Q siren tone. Only tones that it comes with are demoed in video

  • @Gman027

If you would like the Q tone or powercall, you need the Whelen 295SL100 Siren or Whelen 295SLSA6.

  • just don't burn it out by repeating the on / off on off again and again while the siren is on.

  • Nice video. I just want one of these SNSA2s in my room for messin with. I just don't know how to wire the thing. I want to understand how to before I get one, so my question, how do you wire the siren to the power supply and speaker?

  • @GtownHellRaizer that's all I use it for. The product sheet it comes with provides all the info you need to hook it up. There is a power wire, ground wire, hands free wire, two speaker wires (one to each wire of a speaker) and a last wire that I dont use. If you cant hook this thing up, you have a problem because its very easy. Just remember to fuse it with the power wire and you will be good :) Thanks for watching

  • dose it have whelen's attempt to recreat the mech. tone on it?

  • @armysniper117 nope

  • sick :D is it leagle to own a siren? can i put it in my truck just for shits and giggles or when im going to get pulled over for an unrelated subjet, the cop spot the thing and books me...

  • @shadowx7og booked and tagged ;P

  • @zootoo63 shit... LOL

  • @zootoo63 Unless if you get a Smart Siren, which you can disconnect the control box at anytime, you got time to hide it :P

  • @shadowx7og Check you state laws. In my state you can own one (without fear of getting ticketed) if you are either with law enforcement or a first responder (basically any medical personnel who have to respond to emergencies). However, depending on how you mount it, it can be easily concealed by placing something over it (I use a hat) and, unless your "unrelated subject" leads to a vehicle search, it should not result in a ticket.

  • Note: I use my hat to cover it when parking in a public place so that it is not stolen. The additional two lights in the rear window have a tendency to attract attention if someone gets close enough to the car.

  • i like it but if you can go slow with all the tones on the back of it

  • Just finished installing this unit and speaker. (on a Toyota Camry). Didn't hook up the hands free to the horn ring in case I loan the car to someone and they hit the horn and set it off accidentally. Excellent unit and a great price from SIrennet. Great demo video.

  • thank you very much! :)

  • @FecundChance that shouldnt set it off. when the switch is in the off position, the car horn should sound. when the unit is turned on the horn ring activates and the car horn no longer works. Thats how my 295SLSA1 works.

  • @CTFD13 You are correct and, perhaps, I should have explained further. Although I am fairly good about making sure the power switch is in the off position when I return home, I have seen the unit on when I got in the car a few times, but I was looking for it which someone else might not. So when I let someone borrow the car...well, you know. But, you made a good point that the horn ring is disabled by turning the unit off.

  • Awesome Vid, I'm gonna be buying one of these hopefully in not long

  • cool, just be careful..because in Ontario's highway traffic act just having it equiped in the vehicle is illegal. so maybe disable the Wail and yelp? and it also states any horn RESEMBLING that of an emergency air horn is illegal. but really. what cop knows that for real?

just be careful. and keep up the vid's

  • are you a volunteer fireman or something and can use this? it seems like a great siren, I want to check out sirennet's stuff now.

    thanks for the vid!

  • nope, just a hobby siren. might put it in my truck for teh air horn and pa function

  • damn.....

    i want this siren lol

  • Great demo, 5 str

  • thanks. i believe it is the first demo

  • nice vid

  • ty very much
