  • one of the coolest fighting scenes ive seen in a long time, wish it was a bit longer though :P

  • @myf0lk Unfortunately that's the travesty with Christopher Nolan. He sets up and starts these truly spectacular scenes -- they looks so great, so great, so...and then they just fizzle out and never end the way you want them to end. This also happened with the Joker/Truck/Batpod scene in Dark Knight. I wanted sooo badly for a bigger and longer showdown after the truck flipped and after the chase had gotten so exciting...but then it concludes so FUCKING shittily...

  • I love trent reznor and all, but Hans should have taken the Oscar for his work on this

  • [BOTH GRUNTING]

  • 1:35

  • haha "both grunting"

  • I love how this film is 99% practical effects and less than 1% CGI. that and the brilliant script makes this the best movie ever.

  • @RANDOMFREAKSHOWCO many praise Nolan because of his intentions on avoiding CGI

  • man i fucking stood up rooting for arthur in that scene this is seriously one of the greatest films i have ever seen

  • The best scene in the history of mankind.

  • 2:26 lol

  • Heh heh, did you see that?

    *everyones asleep*

  • Me: This movie's going to be so cool, you guys!

My friends: Hm? It looks kinda pointless to me.

    *AFTER THE MOVIE*

My friends: Wow! that was so good!

Me: That's not what you said like a week ago.

My friends: nah, I was legit excited!

    -_-

  • This scene had very little to no CG. They actually built a rotating hallway and they took weeks to film this...Chris Nolan has my total respect...TDKR anyone?

  • @d0ct0rsweet it actually had zero cgi

  • that pounce the last guy did off the bed was hilarious to me. almost killed the scene. almost

  • Wow, this scene is absolutley AMAZING!!! I wish I could have lucid dreams just so I could pull off a few stunts like that!

  • now thats what i call HD!

  • "Did you see that?"

you left the best part out!!

  • This music would be perfect in the next James Bond movie.

  • @sanbell It would kill the song and all it stands for if its in another one of the crapy "one guy kills 5000 top trained guards alone" movies.

  • how to fuck the perfect quality video of an exception scene?? put SUBTITLES on the whole lower half of the image.

  • @sekahkiller How to fuck up a perfectly good comment?? Mistake "Inception" with the word "exception" when the name of the movie is in the title of the video.

  • Comment removed

  • @2litersam No, I was meaning it. The scene is exceptionnal. That wasn't a mistake. Only I should have written "exceptional" rather than "excpetion" I guess. My english isn't perfect, I am French.

  • @2litersam btw thank you for qualifying my comment "a perfectly good comment", now yours has lost it credibility. That's rhetorical. lol

  • @sekahkiller o.o... Touche

  • @2litersam I'm sorry?

  • @sekahkiller Lol all good.

  • One of my favourite scenes in the movie=)

  • This movie is unreal...

  • @MrGaruness O rly?

  • And Joe did that all himself. :3

  • 2:00 DAT MUSIC!!

  • its not like he came up with that scene anyway

    Nolan is aight.

  • 1:52 - 1:58

  • I don't understand why anyone cares about awards shows, they have nothing to do with the quality of movies, it's like people who actually think the best musicians win grammys wake up to reality. The best aspects of American culture are generally not noticed by the majority of people.

  • Haha, oh darn, you cut off the "Did you see that?" *realizes nobody's awake* "..."

    But, hey, great quality!

Love this scene so much. It's incredible the work that went into every single moment of it. I just love the shot when the gun slides by Arthur and he slams his hand down just a second too late. I dunno why, I just love that shot.

    Best. movie. ever.

  • Can't think of more memorable action-scene, really...

The gunfight from equilibrium comes to mind, but honestly, this exceeds anything I've seen before 0_0

  • My Mind Defenses would have The Hulk and Superman to defend my dreams XD

  • @XvxBERSERKxvX -- But are they even a match for Mr Charles? :P

  • @PointManification how did you pass it from the bluray to here? also, can you upload it without the subtitles please?

  • SCREW YOU ACADEMY......

  • hands down the best action scene of have scene this century!!! is a clasic.

  • tommy kicked ass!

  • They need to make a replica of this hallway that rotates, slow enough so it doesn't hurt anyone, then have the mounted camera. Then have it at amusment parks and then when you've had your turn, buy a usb stick with the footage of you in the hallway in there, that would be so awesome lol

  • @bladeleaper OMG! YES!

  • remind me 1:35 (do not remind me) the moment were the fight began

  • Comment removed

  • @gatts13

Have a look at the FAQ on IMDB dude, it's very informative.

  • can anyone answer me some cuestions?

-Why with all the rotation nobody in the room wake up? this is like a kick, right?

-1°dream no gravity ==>2° dream no gravity==>3° there is gravity????

  • @gatts13 not really you see the only reason level 2 dream had no gravity was because the dream before that they were in free-fall and their inner ear canal which give them a sense of balance interpret that as weightlessness, however because the bodies in the level 2 dream were just floating their inner ear canal can still percieve up from down.

  • Amazzzzzzzzzzzzzing !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yusuf yells alot

  • "Do Re Mi Fa So La Si Do" in the background?

  • now thats what fuckin HD means :)

  • so if gravity is shifting in Arthur's world, then why isnt it shifting in the Snow dream too?

  • @Fuzzjunk91 because it's deeper...

  • @Fuzzjunk91 I think the actual 'physics' of the dream world are experienced from the level above. It's why the kick only works on the one level. Otherwise a single kick on any dream level would have yanked them out of the entire dream!

  • Christoper Nolan put more effort into this 2-minute scene then some other directors put into entire movies,

  • @mrmorozov9 that is why he is the best director right now.

  • @mrmorozov9 Nolan is a man most directors should take a cue from. Only use special effects as a last resort and don't be afraid to push the boundaries of sets and models. Great visual effects don't ensure a successful movie. Good storyline, good actors/actress and tireless dedication to get it right ensures a good movie.

  • @mrmorozov9 *cough* Michael Bay *cough*

  • @mrmorozov9 disagree. it's j/ pure talent

  • Best Fight scene of year 2010.Bad fight scene of the year twilight

  • 1:42 my fav part on the whole movie..

  • Dream within a dream

  • What's the name of the OST? Can't find it. D:

  • @Morty361 Don't Think About Elephants.

  • magnificent.

  • the real question that one has to ask when watching inception is...

if the indian had to chuck a shit on the plane, would there be thunder instead of rain?

  • Oh, and if it wasn't clear - the video's NOT called 'Corridor scene - no wires'. It's called 'inception filming the corridor & zero gravity scenes'

  • If it wasn't clear, the video I'm talking about is on YouTube. Corridor scene - no wires. magic.

  • For all the people who think this scene was made with CGI or with the actors wearing wires. There's a video called Inception Filming the Corridor & Zero Gravity Scene, they only used wires for when they did the zero gravity scene (where they made a vertical hallway, and had the camera at the bottom, and the actors go up and down the corridor, which all makes it look zero-g)

  • Heh, did you guys see that? "Sleeping people" Yeah...

  • The 2 dislikers were projections.

  • Why embedding is disabled?

  • Arthur is a freaking beast

  • "METAL GROANING"

  • How the EF! did they make this scene?

  • @ZoeHannahan

the director wanted a huge cylinder that rotates with that hallway to be made. That's why they fall around naturally. You can look up the 'behind the scenes' of this movie.

  • @ZoeHannahan look at the "making of" video for this part. They built the hallway from scratch and used a centrifuge to turn it

  • Wow a lot of those captions were unnecessary. Bad captioning must be really annoying for deaf people.

  • it still blows my mind of how they were able to film this shot. It's filmed so beautifully

  • Epic subtitles

  • dude WHY the subtitles? we're here for the action even if we WERE deaf it'd be distracting, they take like a third of the screen!

  • Twilight fags are gay, they dont deserve one reward, inception deserves it all, best fight or a bunch of jumping when u got a rotating fight all over, fuck that. this is way better

  • @KGxINSTINCTx,

    Twilight is a fucking joke.

  • This is pretty much the coolest fight scene ever!

  • Great scene, but where is the blood from the gunshot? This was rated R, right?

  • @pwn00bz4ever Nope, it is rated PG-13

  • IS THIS THE DREAM? OR THE DREAM WITHIN THE DREAM!

NO I THINK IT'S THE DREAM, INSIDE THE MATRIX, INSIDE THE DREAM!

    OH WELL JUST KEEP SHOOTING!

  • when an indian guy drives, this is what happens

  • @majafaja999 -- Then all Indians should be "designated drivers" to give us more scenes like this! After all, the driving contributed majorly to the revolving corridor. :P

  • Good thing they weren't outside when this happened.

  • @Tuckerscreator Actually that's why they designed that level of the dream that way. So when the car flipped they wouldn't fall into the sky.

  • YELLLLLLLLING! lmao

  • The more I watch this the more it falls apart

WHY WOULD YOU JUMP AT A GUY WITH A GUN!

  • Maybe he meant to jump to the side but gravity was shifting too fast. @PSNGreyLynx

  • @PSNGreyLynx

Maybe he meant to jump for the gun.

He has only has maybe one, two seconds to decide what to do. It's entirely possible that he didn't even see him pick up the gun.

  • FREAKING LOVE THIS MOVIE, AND THIS SCENE! Christopher Nolan at his best!!

  • Arthur is an awesome guy i wanna see him in more stuff after TDKR but not gi joe 2

  • I have to say I'm not really a big fan of twilight, but inception lost to twilight on the mtv awards? Sombody screwed up the votes and i demand a recount!!!!!!

  • how do they film this scene? they use a hallway that rotates? wires? visual effect?

  • @lowchai98 they really did use a hallway that rotates :) there's a behind a scene vid somewhere on youtube actually

  • @lowchai98 They really used a rotation hallway. and for the zero-gravity scene. The hallway was vertical and the actor was on wires. So he was really just upside down the whole time as if he was bungee jumping. Idk if that makes sense.

  • The best scene in INCEPTION.

  • Inception truly was the greatest film of our time.

  • Great quality

  • press 4 and 8 repeatedly for some crazy Asian and black fighting techniques

  • How in the hell this fight scene lost to twilight saga fight?

  • eins der besten szenen !!!!!!!!!!!geil gemacht

  • I wished that fight scene will be at a video game.

  • MTV is a sukky channel! it has become the worst channel on tv. i cannot believe they snubbed INCEPTION for the shit that is friggen twilight. are they serious? twilight with alll the crappy acting and panting and horrible script, they didnt even give INCEPTION 1 award.they can shove that stupid channel where the sun dont shine. i really used to look forward to the mtv video music awards and the mtv movie awards but now its brcome a joke.ughhh.INCEPTION rules

  • Does anyone know who the guy is IRL Arthur is fighting when the corridor rotates?

  • Not to burst everyone's bubble, but...

Google the ceiling dance in the movie Royal Wedding from 1951. That's basically where this effect comes from. Fred Astaire and Stanley Donen had the idea twenty years before Christopher Nolan was even born.

  • @sindlibtsbles ahahahah wow nice.i guess all ideas have an origin and an inspiration. i guess thats what inspired nolan.either way thise scene rocks :-)

  • @mimi42428 Inception is definitely a fun movie, in part because scenes like this used mechanical effects in lieu of digital effects...*but* it is basically put together with bits and pieces of older movies, paintings, etc. Check out "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale" by Philip K. Dick, "Klimmen en Dalen" by M.C. Escher, and "The Architect's Dream" by Thomas Cole.

  • @sindlibtsbles will do thanks :-)

  • how did twilight saga eclipse get best fight over this on the mtv movie awards?

  • @realjamaicanjones A movie about the complex idea of dream stealing with amazing visual effects, acting, and design vs. a movie about a vampire who's sad....

  • @realjamaicanjones cos mtv are bitches full of shitty so called reality tv and they suck lol

  • @realjamaicanjones At least Inception won Oscars than Twilight.

  • @realjamaicanjones

It did? Really? Holy shit what was the Twilight fight like?

  • @realjamaicanjones Maybe Kristen Stewart gave the committee sexual favors, like free blowjobs for all.

  • @realjamaicanjones its rigged

  • @realjamaicanjones cause of all the stupid fangirls who think twilight is the best thing ever.

  • @realjamaicanjones whaaaat?! you're fucking kidding me. is that fight up on youtube?

  • @realjamaicanjones Because they allowed 14 year old girls to vote.

  • @realjamaicanjones IKR?!?!?!

  • @realjamaicanjones stupid kids!!!!!! haha

  • @realjamaicanjones because the MTV movie awards is filled with a bunch of brainless tweens

  • @realjamaicanjones Easy, MTV Movie Awards let the teenagers decide, that's how they screwed up

  • @realjamaicanjones because all inception fans are above mtv movie awards. No one cares about that awards anyways.

  • @realjamaicanjones Because MTV lost its legitimacy a long time ago when they stopped being "music television" and became "the reality show network" and the MTV Movie Awards became like the Teen Choice Awards.

  • @44excalibur ,, I can't believe that I am saying this, but next to MTV Movie Awards, Teen choice, are soo much better

  • @realjamaicanjones because unfortunately mtv movie awards are all about twilight,,, they won in almost every category,.. plus, in the best female category, natalie portman who won an oscar for the same category, lost from kristen strewart-twilight. aka. WTF.

  • @realjamaicanjones Why would you care about the MTV awards? I haven't watched that shit in over a decade.

  • @realjamaicanjones Because MTV's main audience consist of teenage girls, and you know what they'd vote for. That' why the series won so many MTV awards. Personally, I wanted either Inception or Social Network to win,.

  • @realjamaicanjones that's because twilight fans watch that joke of an award show.

  • @realjamaicanjones cuz mtv is majority of teenagers who dont know good movies from bad movies

  • @realjamaicanjones Because there are too many 12-year-old girls in America that love Twilight, and can't stand to watch a movie that doesn't have Taylor Lautner or Robert Pattinson in it.

  • @realjamaicanjones -- Because true art is never fully appreciated. :')

  • @realjamaicanjones because the people who vote for that award show are idiots

  • @realjamaicanjones Vergiss die scheiß mtv movie awards

  • @realjamaicanjones Because, as you said, it's 'MTV Awards'. Says it all really...

  • @AgentMcQueen Haha, dude its so true

  • Comment removed

  • @realjamaicanjones this is the proof that the world is going in the wrong direction ...

  • @realjamaicanjones one word...tweens :\

  • @realjamaicanjones because MTV sucks!

  • @realjamaicanjones Who watches MTV and cares about their awards?

  • @realjamaicanjones Because it's MTV. The answer is in the question. If you want some REAL award shows, watch the Oscars where "Inception" got four awards.

  • @MinamuTV yeah but's it's ridiculous that inception didn't win an oscar for atleast one of these : best script , best directing or best movie. inception is far better then the kings speech and it certainly had the best script of the year , heck it's one of the best script in years

  • @japman17 "Inception" deserved Best Original Screenplay for damn sure. Yeah, you're right on that one. This movie was so creative.

  • @realjamaicanjones Because it's MTV. The answer is in the question. If you want a real award show, watch the Oscars, where at least "Inception" got SOMETHING.

  • @realjamaicanjones because the winners het chosen on the mtv website trough voting and gues what people are on that website? al teenage girls mostly who don't know what a good movie is and think twicrap is the best movie ever. it is ridiculous that twiligt won over this , have you seen that scene? it's a simple fucking fistfight and this inception scene is pure briliance! this entire movie is a masterpiece and should have won movie of the year

  • This is the beat scene in the movie, hands down.

  • Thanks for this scene. This was the only part of Incetion that I enjoyed. I think I'm the only person that hated this movie, haha

  • this should win for best fight on mtv award show tommorow

  • @peggy1524 It totally should have won! How Twilight beat this for best fight is beyond me. But then again it's the MTV Movie Awards, what does it matter lol.

  • best fight scene!

  • Christopher Nolan is amazing. Such a simple and elegant design for this set piece. He built a hotel hallway, put it on a rotisserie and put the actors in it. Fixed the camera to one spot and yelled action. Fucking amazing.

  • @RyStears not even close to enough

  • 2:52 Caption spoiler =P

  • JGL has come a lonnnnnnnngggg way from "Third Rock From The Sun".

  • imagine trying to rehearse that scene?!...honestly it's so believable I bet they got it right on the first take!

  • @RyStears One of the best scene in the entire HISTORY of movies!

  • I thought Arthur was a bit of a pretty boy. But in his dream, he fucking owns Gravity! ^^

Neo hanging on his silly wires has nothing against this guy actually fighting in a rotating room.
