Thank you for posting this video. My dad is Steve Wolf and watching it was like going back in time and watching him fly an airshow. Such a tragic loss of a great pilot and airplane.
This is one fast biplane. Cruise speed of 180mph is mighty quick. The power to weight ratio is 50% better than a P51 Mustang and yet the stall is fairly mild. The Pratt & Whitney R-985 Wasp Junior is a nine-cylinder air-cooled radial with a displacement of 985 cu in or 16.14 liters. This engine is usually found in a DH Beaver or Beech Staggerwing which are much larger airplanes.
