my school is playing this right now. I'm a percussionist, and I have no clue how to make the "cricket" sound. WHat did you guys use for the "cricket" sound of percussion?

We used two sets of mounted castinets and hit them with a set of hand held castinets for that effect.

There is actually an instrument referred to as a "cricket" that has metal ball bearings encased in a wood frame that can make the "cricket" sound when they strike the wood.

Our band used claves. We also bowed an old Manhasset music stand to replace the waterphone.

It was awesome.

Nice French Horns, didn't hear the Saxophones a lot, and the sound quality is bad due to distance, the room, or the mics.
