Grandia 3 English Ending

I'm saying this as a fan of the second Grandia above all others: Grandia 3 had something going for it that few RPGs get consistently right - a battle system that never got tedious, a story that was, more often than not, positive, for once, and characters that had simplified outlooks and relationships with one another. It kept the core values of other Grandia titles and spun a new tale from it. That I can seriously respect.

Aye, G1 is by far the best of them all. Battle/Story/Character wise. Being a fan of sprite graphics, is better in that department too.

While I did think the battle system was improved in 3, and I loved mixing mana eggs, I preferred the story and characters of 2. The twist in 2 was amazing, I thought, and I really felt attached to my party. They just seemed to have a little more charm. 3 was still a fun game though, and the voice acting was improved a fair bit.

@xianghuasc Except they ARE better. Graphics don't mean shit, the stories and characters are vastly superior. That and G1 got the leveling system perfect, and was a much bigger, epic adventure.

better graphics. properly evolved battle engine. great soundtrack, all those are DEFAULT from being a later instalation... but the story was nowhere near as meaningful as grandia 2, G2 had deep uses of philosophies which people could use... the only philosophy in G3 was "go for it". I can not speak about G1... YET

Well I'd actually like it if Grandia 3 did exist I have a thing for the coupling of Yuki x Alfina. As great as Grandia 2 was they should just pull a Final Fantasy X and name it Grandia 2-2 rather than Grandia 3... XD

What a letdown...Grandia I & II are among my favorite games of all time, and part 3 certainly came close to the greatness of its predecessors, particularly on disc 1. The story on disc 2, though, felt rushed and lukewarm, lacking quite a bit of polish and refinement. This ending in particular really made me mad when I first saw it...it's way too short and completely unrewarding. Oh well...it's still an excellent game, though not as good as the first 2.

Man i forgot how bland this ending was after seeing this i played it once more and beat it. i can say with out a doubt it needed to end like Grandia 2. Have Yukie go around the world meeting everyone and catching up with everyone just like Roan in Grandia 2. Then at the end have him end up at home were he then meets up with Alfina and there son. That would be a good ending or at least thats what i want

Also i loved Grandia 3 but 2 is still my fav cause it got me into RPGs.

I liked this game. It's a cute simple game. Not absurdly complex like Xenosaga. I also like Alifna and Emelious so the plot was enjoyable for me.

Yes, loosing Miranda was a terrible loss haha. I like Hect, too.

I like the characters better than FF10. That's very biased of me to say and very opinionated. But I couldn't like the FF10 characters even when I tried to. So the game was painful for me to sit through. Grandia III Is lighter and more innocent and haha cute.

I agree with you on the fact that Grandia 3 is a good game where as many others don't like it. I liked the characters and the storyline too it was indeed very enjoyable. However I do have to say Final Fantasy 10 was my favorite Final Fantasy (and I played the old school Final Fantasys too) so I disagree on the FF10 opinion but we all have our own opinions =)

Yuki gets married to Alfina, Alfina's hair is blonde Yuki's hair is blueish color. Put Yuki and Alfina's hair together, blue mixed with yellow makes green. And they do talk in this whole ending, just not in the epilogue to their son.

I actually don't agree with your opinion. After all I like Grandia III, and many of my friends do too. If you dislike the scene where Yuki goes off with Alfina and leaves Miranda and Alonso behind all I have to say is it was bound to happen anyway. You have to be a classical type of person to enjoy this game, I mean I understand most people don't like this because the story line focuses on Alfina and her Brother a lot. But I think it has more Romance that a particular other amount of games do.

Well, it's deff. a rental. It's either hit or miss for most people. The romance WAS a nice touch, but Alfina was too whiny for me to find any compassion with at all.

And Yuki was just too annoying, and hormone obssessed. Ulf was okay, but after those first 10 hours, there's barely any dialogue from anyone other than Alfina and Yuki. After a character is introduced, that's all you practically see. I absolutely hated Dahna's design. Miranda was awesome, so I was really dissapointed when she left.

I say this about nearly every game, but Grandia totally needs to team up with Agetec and work on a RPGMAKER game.

The game is ok.. till Alfonso and Miranda leave your party. Alfina is annoying the story is too cheesy. But with Miranda and Alfonso it was still enjoyable enough to keep going. After they left the game got boring.
