well the first battlefield game (bf1942) got released the 19. sept. 2002 and the first call of duty came in nov 2003.. so you're pretty wrong about that.

and the beginning of online gaming was way before call of duty, you could say that the mother of the online egoshooter gaming was quake which got released in 1996.

even if bf and cod are 2 similar games, you cant compare them. cod is a (team) deathmatch game and bf is more a massive multiplayer game, even if they went from 64 to 32 players

This sounds like a game for you bro. The health isnt over done and its much easier to get a kill in this game then it was in bad company 1. The regenerating is more balanced now and takes nearly 3 times as long as COD to recharge health, unless you are a medic. I love running around the side in the bushes and ambushing the enemy.
