Here is an idea for covering the sticks- I had used the heat shrink rubber for electrical wiring, I had slid the stuff onto the wooden dowel and used a hairdyer to shrink it tight onto the stick. The first time I made these was about 15 years ago and my friend still has them. I use them everytime I go to his house.

hey nice man it looks like your hand sticks are made long though i prefer them around the 18-20 inch mark.. how long are those?
