@JayB1699 actually, "Emma" is Sara Emma Jensen, the main muse of the album. When you hear Justin say "Emma is a time and a place, everyone has an Emma", it's because Jensen was his first love. Everyone has a first love, and your first love isn't just a person, they become more like a time in your life. everyone has experienced the pain in the end of their first love. although the album itself has songs about Jensen, it also has songs about the girlfriend from the "bad breakup" Christy Smith.
