is this engine very realible for daily driving? i never thought id see a 400 hp 4age, ive been lookin all over hopin it was possible, and what do i see! i was bout to give up and go 3SGTE, but i guess not haha

It is not good for daily driving... :-) But there are 500+ BHP 4A-GEs driving in Denmark... Think the "record" now is 559 BHP at 9400 rpm and 2 bars turbo pressure...

400bhp is "no problem", .... the car in the clip is built by me and my 2 friends ... i know a guy running a newer starlet on the street with 518hk - on the front wheels that is.... but ofcause with such a big turbo the engine is not very "drivable" for road use, and has much turbolag ... but as boris says the record in denmark now is just around 650hk on a 4age - but pretty insane... that being said, the engine cannot take this much power and will break

Danish record on a charged 4A-GE is over 650 BHP... So the 407 BHP isn't that much...

yes but wen u compare a 4g63t or 3sgte block and rods and crank strength to a redtop 4age then there pretty much the same apart from the higher compression pistons in the redtop. then compare a 4agze to a 4g63t and the 4agze can handle alot more in stock form.
