I was real blazed when I watched this on Netflix last night. But I couldnt take this movie seriously. Me and my constituents who gave it a watch decided it should have been named "Douchebag in Armor," as that's all we could think of everytime we saw Nicholas Cage. I couldn't help laughing at just about every scene.

The movie starts with 30 min. of rather decent quality, then it gets worse. At 45 min. the movie goes downhill, the second half of the movie showing the writer went out of ideas. The last 25 minutes are unbearable, also CG-wise.

Time to watch Black Death again, to get Season of the Witch out of my head.

The movie was decent, but nearly any other actor aside from Nicolas Cage should have been placed as the main character. He simply doesn't have the emotional forthrightness to effectively have the audience at large sympathize with him and his guilt for the sins of his past. The MVP award, however, goes to the female actor who played the Witch. It takes guts to play such a many-faceted role, and she pulls it off stunningly.
