  • Nissan you have balls the size of two death stars for taking the lead with this all-electric car. You smashed the competition and make them watch while you swim in what could have been their money! Respect.

  • the 2010-present Nissan Leaf is assembled in

    Japan: Oppama, Yokohama

    United Kingdom: Sunderland (2013)

United States: Smyrna, Tennessee (late 2012)

  • Love this commercial

  • What a sweetheart dog with his face on the seat

  • STEPHEN CARL MURPHY

  • Go NISSAN GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sorry to be there bearer of bad news everyone, but the song is a Nissan commercial-specific tune. Composed for Nissan commercials, not an actual song. Doesn't that just suck?

  • @palidian7 that does suck!

  • SONG PLEASE!! NAME????

  • Yes SONG ID! PLZZZ!

  • top japan companies

    1 nissan

    2 mitsubishi

    3 toyota

    us 1ford 2 gmc

  • Awesome! Go Nissan! I have a Sentra.

  • about freaking time damn .nissan going on the record books

  • anybody at all know this song or who made it?

  • It sounds a lot like "This Modern Love" by Bloc Party to me...

  • @ktparker Ah... I know what you mean, but it's definitely not "This Modern Love".

  • Surprised nobody has mentioned U2. Sounds like The Edge's delay and drum sequence is like that of the newly produced song, Winter.

  • Anyone find out the name of the song and who it's by

  • Thanks, sludge16. Can't find anything under either of those names, however. I find the whole Nissan website confusing and not so easy to use!

  • I looked up the credits for the commercial on the nissan website says the mixer is JIMMY HITE and the music is: NEW MATH, however does not specify whether that is the artist song name or what...supa annoying

  • It is definitely not "New Math". "New Math" is a really stupid comedy diddy sung live by a guy named Bo Burnham. It was a waste of download time!

  • Music - could it be Asobi Seksu, Citrus CD? I don't know fer sure.

  • What didn't even show the car move! Three second blip of an electric car this means in marketing terms they are not really happy about this car because they know it might be a flop when it hits the sales floor. Plus I was reading you have to rent the batteries. Whomp whomp!

  • @egn83b When gas prices go through the roof again because of millions of new drivers in China and India, whomp whomp will be the story of the ICE car.

  • From seeing 4 dollar gas people drive slower and make less trips. I think government will solve this issue with time because corn and other biofuels will fill in the gaps in the supply plus america has hidden resources of gas the public is not even aware of. So the battery car will be popular in the city areas but for long trips gas is so much safer then battery power.

  • @egn83b what the fossil fuel lobby isn't telling you is that 95% of Americans travel less than 100 miles/day and are candidates for purchasing an electric car. Biofuels, hybrids and hopefully biofuel hybrids can come into play on the rare occasion the family takes a long road trip and rents one.

  • I think what you say is true but you must realize is that you average family when buying a new car are not going to jump the boat of safety for these electric cars because of limited distance and maintance issues with batteries. So I think it's going to be a nitch market for 10 yrs like the hybrids are tell people see solid reliablity out these as a whole. This country is also going to change direction when 2012 hits so green might go by the way side and back to cheaper gas and more living cost.

  • Safety? The CODA electric car is going to get 5 stars on safety. This Nissan will have at least 4.

I know this is rocket science to a fossiclocalypse storm and cancer lover like you. The truth is NO GAS is a hell of a lot safer than having your kid's car seat (with meltable plastic latches) on top of 20 gallons of gasoline in a vehicle prone to rollovers. Got any other "points" to make for big oil and Arabs who hate us genius?

  • Okay since you ask for it. Gasoline is dangerous yes! However it's been proven millions of times it's safe. You don't see cars exploding on a regular bases unless you live in the middle east with a bomb under your tank. Also talking to my firemen friend, he told me that he is very worried about the electric cars because when the car gets wreaked there is 600v of live wire that can make contact with the car body presents an electrical hazard that is lethal. Same dangers just different animals.

  • 1. I've seen many car fires actually.

    2. How can your fireman friend have so much experience with the Nissan leaf or CODA if they're not even out yet. Electric car models differ.

    3. Amps kill, not volts.

    4. Is the interior of your car metal? Mine isn't. neither are the door latches, locks, or windows.

    5. Electric car "batteries" are actually many small batteries connected in series and once that series is broken up there isn't much of a charge.

How much are the Saudis paying you?

  • @Bill1275w There are many electric cars on the road already what do you think hybrids are? Then you have homemade electric cars no one knows about zippy by. I don't care about brand names there just names. Reality is reality there out there already this isn't anything new. There where electric cars 100 yrs ago except they where model t's with battery banks.

  • Google the story of a girl named Jacqui.

She was beautiful once. Then she was hit by a drunk driver. She was stuck in a burning car. The flames were so hot that no one could rescue her. She was stuck there, her screams deafening the neighborhood until the flames died down. Now she looks so horrible that I will never forget the pictures...EVER. even if you weren't a paid liar and were somehow telling the truth about electric cars you've never seen, I'd rather be shocked to death!!!!!!!

  • I recently totaled my car. Long story short I was loaded in an ambulance and taken to the hospital totally covered in gas. I remember because the smell made me sick. I was told by many people that one spark( from the metal scraping on the pavement) could have easily lit me on fire and burned me to death. I doubt that would happen in an EV.

As far as being electricuted goes. Its more like 72v not 600v. And just how are you going to strip the insolation off all of those wires in an accident?

  • @Z0mbeSlayer The man up stairs spared your life you should thank him. I think we all have more problems to worry about then a car with gasoline. Like freedom which is on the edge of being wiped off because democrats want to control every aspect of our health and property.

  • Well if you want freedom, don't buy a gas car and give money to Saudi Arabia where there is no freedom. If you're I assume a Christian who wants to thank the man upstairs why give money to Mohammed and Mecca?

  • haha :)

    Owned!

    I hate stupid religious people!

  • @Bill1275w I think your misunderstanding. If you do research america has some clauses that state we do business with our enemies. The Christan thing to do is stop being complacent and elect people who don't do business with these people who will listen to your voice and not some big business thug. Laws have be changed to make gas a history lesson. The reality is the american way of life is about to end if we don't awake. Gas is not the entire problem. America has it's own gas.

  • @Bill1275w Christ, this is a car commercial, there's nothing to do with religion here. I don't give a fuck where you are, we are all people trying to make a living, religion doesn't even matter.

  • Thanks for your testimony bro. I don't understand how people can be against progress.

  • @Bill1275w Yeah me neither. What's up with that?

  • I can't look up that particular site on my iPod. Can someone else confirm this?

  • Who is playing the song ????

  • Well being a car company with a brand new car, they probably had their own tune made for the commercial. I don't know though. Please post if someone figures it out.

  • The way the guitar keeps going at the end doesn't sound like that's where the music really stops... Hoping someone comes through with it soon...

  • Looks like a company called New Math.

  • Thanks!

  • i'd also like to know the music

  • This ad gives me the chills...love it! Just like resurrecting the EV1 but with much more potential this time

  • Great Commercial... aside from that one part showing that girls freckles around the 10 second mark.

  • I like the music in this commercial. Anyone have an idea of who it is?

  • Looks like a company called New Math.
