  • Listen men that is NOT a force 10 gale, I have been in F10 in Pacific and Atlantic many times. Sorry no way. 1/5

  • No mares tails, NOT a force 10

  • we went through a force 10 on P&O Ventura leaving civitaveccia and this is like a duckpond in comparisson!

  • hey mr rd clyde check out a gale force 8 video then compare it to a gale force ten then u notice a huge differance that not even a gale 8 change ya glasses pal

  • its no way a force ten just abit of splashing on the bow if thats a force ten i can do bigger wind blowing out my arse

  • LOOSER, not even close to force 10!!!!!! Story for babies!!!!

  • force 7 tops...

  • I think we have some wish-full thinking here...no where near a force 10 and ALOT less than 10 meter waves. They are no where near 32 feet in height.

  • that is no force 10 trust me !!

  • its the amazing vomit cruise of horror! lol

  • This doesn't look that rough really, a force 10 is 48 - 55 knts of wind and a wave height of 9 meters. This looks more like a force 7 / 8 maybe pushing slight 9. To put it into perspective a force 12 is a hurricane 64+ knts with 14 meter waves.

  • if this in force 10 j am ercules!!!!!!!!!

  • Definetely NOT force 10

  • this shows a force 5 to 6 max flat calm

  • this is not 10 man this is a strong 7 not more than 7

  • lier

  • force 6 or maybe 7. i was in force 10 on the ncl jewel in January and i was nothing like this we could hardly stand let alone go outside

  • jewel is not a stable ship, she rolls like a big fat pig! lol...

plus add that to direction of swell i.e beam/following and the ship will react worse! ive seen firsthand a wave over 90ft tall and pray i never see another! , thats a window breaker lol :)

  • ahaha. good vid just dont think its a force 10 btw i love the sapphire princess

  • not force 10, more like a 7 or 8 best.

Did a 10 verging 11 on irish sea, that was one to remember. For 3 days my head was still at sea, and after a drink or two it all came back again... weird.

  • Yes i agree.....For force ten see the

Bay of Biscay and my comments.

  • just got hoem from a p&o cruise (oceania) and we also sailed through a force 10 storm on our last night off the coast of france heading for southampton, it was frightening as the ship was shuddering and getting thrown about in monster waves. it was my first cruise and probarly my last for at least a long while lol

  • i came through the bay of biscay on oceana last year in a 10 and worse we had a 12!!!! on aurora on 3rd jan this year comming home from tennerife! biggest seas i have ever seen! we even had windows on deck 6 broken.. not fun trying to eat ya dinner i tell you

  • fantastic 5 star video

  • its not force 10. ur ship would not progress one iota in force 10. was there done it didnt enjoy it for several yrs

  • I remember a storm on the SS Nevasa in the Bay of Biscay 1968, en route for W Africa, where the ship was rolling 45 degrees from side to side, everyone ill, no more paper bags...

The 'B' deck ports showed under water or only sky. (A was VIP deck above, out of bounds). I played ping pong with my geog teacher, (who also had 'sea legs')calculating the table rising to score points!

  • In the very late 1960's I took a freighter with my sister and mother from New York to Australia. We felt the captain was "mad" and actually thought the ship was going to split in half one night during a storm between Hawaii and Fiji!

  • click on my name to watch a good rough sea video, in a 37ft cabin cruiser in the mouth of the humber wind force 6, tis a good video! :P

  • Very kul, but em... a F8 is a gale. F10 is a storm!

  • I would be hurling like crazy! Cool vid.

  • a 25 meter wave is no longer a normal wave, it is a rogue wave. as far as i know its physically not possible to have open ocean waves that high.

  • I agree. Force 2000, who cares? We all know how much fun it is to stand on deck and take a shot like that. Hey, we're only having fun here. Nice job.

  • yh i cant see that being a force 10 maybe a force 8 at the most but good video :)

  • I think its only 6-7 I dont believe that its 10 huhh....

  • Try the north sea in 25 meter waves.whats the gale force then?25??heh

  • Nice video.

Being a meteorologist used to seas, and as others have stated, this is not Beaufort 10.

To start off with, 10 is quite sufficient to knock people off their legs and to uproot trees on land.

At sea, your visibility is very reduced, and the foam on the sea is particularly present in large bands across the swells. Which is not the case here.

Still as stated, this is a rather nice video.

    Keep sharing !

  • force 6. 10 is the death of this ship. he he

  • when i was on the sapphire princess, it was just like that crossing the tasmin sea

  • this is a force 7 gusting 8 at very most Sea heaps up and white foam from breaking waves begins to be blown in streaks along the direction of the wind. rdclyde obviously does not know his beaufort scale.

  • Looks bit tame compared to some footage i've seen on here, but still cool!

  • Does not look like a Force 10 ! Still a cool video though.

  • Bear in mind that this was taken from the 7th deck of a cruise ship...those are 10-meter waves, not counting the bow waves.

  • its not force 10, i think you've read relative wind speed at anemometer. its about 6-7...

  • Yes,but on most videos it does not appear as bad as it actually is.

  • force 10? haha

  • that's a fine day,

  • Very nice video! Thanks!

  • whoa that's really strong.

  • Nice..but...this is maximum force 6:D.Wtatch my videos..is little bit stronger,maybe 8-9!

  • awesome
