Stated release is 2013.

Boyle has stated in multiple interviews that he wants to direct 28 Months Later, because he wants to have more influence on what happens (since he didn't have much pull with 28 Weeks Later.)

So, if we do see it, chances are Boyle will once again do his magic as a director.
