  • Your last brick off brick on your robot can only be 1 ft tall 1 ft wide and 1 ft long sorry great ideas though

  • @TheJazzman117 your actually right, but they still had a good design...Also guys what he said- be careful with that, things are dropping.

  • Cant wait until Jan.28 Saturday!!!!

  • How do you connect the motors to the wheels every time you switch the NXT brick to a different body?

  • Hello, I wonder where you got your yellow signs of lego, is a box with extra parts (though not the main NXT) or lego toys?

  • First of all, you've dropped bacteria on the mat. Second of all, did you get nine viruses in the sink? I saw a bunch fall out.

  • I think than really you get 267 points, not 314!

  • very cool

  • pussy

  • ALL FLL TEAMS! THE CARGO RULE IS SO STUPID! IF THE TRAILER COUNTS AS CARGO, THEN IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE IT COMPLETELY IN BASE!! AND THAT IS SO UNFAIR! IF YOU HAVE A BIGGER ROBOT, THEN IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE ALL YOUR CARGO IN BASE!

  • I'm saying that they aren't allowed to do anything on the mat outside of the base! in the years before you could ask a referee to take objekts of the mat, but not in 2011! like the blue ball,... it just cant be touched!

  • @S3riou55 It doesn't matter, it wouldn't have made a difference!!

  • Amazing run! It looks like you're moving the NXT brick with motors from one attachment to another. May I ask how you are attaching them so fast. Our team was trying somthing similar, but we couldn't figure out a fast and easy way to move from one to another. You have an huge amount of Lego pieces. I wish I could spend a week in Denmark and buy a bunch of parts. Congrats on your amazing work!

  • QUESTION: What did you use the rope/string for at the end? And where did you get the wheels on the first robot/attachment?

  • never mind its prefectly lellgal

  • and by the way, i think you can only have one robot.

  • O my goodness!!!!!!this my fourth year in LEGO and i never in all my years seen anything soo amazing and your design is awsome!!!

  • Is that/those robot(s) legal?

  • removing the blue ball is illegal, the "green" light sensor is illegal, the attachment dangling from the sink is not allowed, and all your actions and attachment placements outside of the base are not allowed! u have the potential for a lot of points, but in this run it wouldn't even be 200+

  • @S3riou55 Yes they do! You can have a light sensor, you can remove the ball if it is in the way, and even if they didn't, it wouldn't make a difference, and why would their actions and attachment placements not be allowed?! It is perfectly legal, its just that they didn't make one robot with different attachments, but one 'robot' with different sized wheels and 'attachments' that were really robots without a brick and 3 motors. BTW great job Musicboiler!!!

  • @MrEyetoeye Yeah yu can definitely have a light sensor, but this is the color-sensor with the green light, which was not allowed! You cannot touch anything outside the base without getting minus one bacteria! All the actions with the attachments have to be "IN" the base (or the box that counts to the base during a match) but NOT outside the base on the table. I know what they have built ;) cause that is our plan for next year's FLL.

  • @S3riou55 So you are saying that they can only do things on the mat as long as something is still in base that is connected to the robot? And the blue ball wouldn't have made a difference, they just moved it so it isn't in the way. The robot would have pushed the ball away anyway.

  • sorry but you can only have one robot

  • Amazing

  • The attachments are efficient

  • Our team has an an attachment similiar to your last attachment. I think you should do the bacteria more

  • That may just be the World Record!!!!!!

  • Your team did a beautiful run. You can definitely get 314 with these designs. But in this video run you lost one of the purple bacteria to the mat, which reset the dispensers to 7 points when emptied, and the robot was picked up before the corn made it IN base, which according to Rule 18 the Referee would then have to take away. But you can definitely get to 314 accounting for this, which is awesome! Must be the best score in the League!

  • @dcsastry Thanks and yes you are right about the bacteria and the corns sorry; But 314 points is the max we have got and i haven't seen a better run at this time. But wee didn't won at the competition it all went really bad at that day you can see our scores at the link i have found to you in the description.

  • @musicboiler I am a second year coach in the Sacramento District of the Northern California Region. There was only one other team I have seen so far that has been able to engineer such large and well thought out designs. It's too bad you didn't win the performance award at your competition - but I hope you won the design award! Best of luck with the rest of the season! My team's qualifier is this weekend! Our perfect max score is 241, but we haven't gotten that yet.

  • @dcsastry Nice and good luck with your qualifier this week and 241 points isn´t bad at all. I haven´t seen many people that have scored over 200 points so that is good and good luck with it. And wee only scored 240 points at our day.

Wee did´t win the design award the team that won ran of with it but what they have made was really cool too so

Is it so that you got your team run on film cause i really wood like to see it if i could.:)

  • @musicboiler Yes we will be posting our runs soon. Our design & attachments are much simpler, but we are also only a 2nd year team. I'll post a video to share with the rest of FLL once we have one, hopefully in the next few days. I'll send a link.

  • @musicboiler Hi - I finally uploaded video - these are the 4 runs from the DYNObytes Qualifier last Sunday. You can check it out on my channel.

  • @musicboiler Oh and one other thing - I didn't notice before, but on your run to drop the trailer back in place I noticed you had an attachment to drop a bacteria in the sink and that it was hanging on the sink after all the runs. I believe that the mission description for Handwashing - Bacteria states that the sink can only support the weight of the Bacteria and no other LEGO parts. So you may want to relook at that....

  • @dcsastry Yes your right about that. At the competition we did the same but but the jeffery had their rules and we had to take it of and drive without. But your right about it and this video was made a day before the competition so but thanks. And maybe there shout been said that it is 311 points instead of 314 points(:

  • @musicboiler same happened to us it seemed like our programs were changed

  • My bad. I see what was happening. Congrats!

  • thats aainst the rules you can only use 1 robot and 3 motors out of them all

  • @jason7ace wee are only using 1 robot and 3 motors but wee can take it all of and put it on an another tool

Try too look at the video again and look a little closer and other wise wee wold have been disqualified at the competition if wee had used more than 3 motors and 1 robot

  • I'm really doubt it's legal to put a guide over the wall since it's not inside the BASE box.

  • @Tx3Stones It is legal because it is in the base when the robot starts it can do any thing it wants and wee didnt get disqualified at the competition(:

  • is it allowed to have attachments that dont fit in base? and how many motors did u have?

  • @OctopusOmega we had 3 motors if you look very carefully then you see that it is a motor module we take of. That gives os a rich possibility to make a tool that fit to the job.

All our tools fit in the base if it is the big crane you are thinking of then it almost was to big but it wasn't

And yes you get disqualified if your robot is to big for the base that is 40*40

  • Never mind, I didn't watch the whole thing.

    Cool robot.

  • Why do you not get the last dispenser before delivering the viruses. If you get 9+ viruses in the sink you get more points.

  • Jaa øhm wee just assumed we got that bacteria we haven't got a full run on film.

  • you guys did great I love the design of all attachments, but 314 is impossible as one bacteria was on the mat.

  • Hey everybody i would like if you wanted to subscribe on my video ;)

  • Rigtig godt.
