Hi. that video is awesome. I am a high school video production and film teacher in Gilbert, AZ and I would love to get a copy of this original footage if you have it. My students are producing a western film and they need a shot of a steam train. Let me know if you might be able to help.
I'll be holding off on more video, ala the "Chama Steam- Fall Madness" videos I did, as Peter from Highball Productions was with me most of the trip... I'll wait for him to release his before I'll put one up here.
When did you shoot this?

@modeltrainman12345 it is numbered from the GCRY and in i think about 2007 they sold the 18 cause they retired the steam program on the GCRY

Nice video. I am so glad that it went here instead of going to rust in front of the Grand Canyon depot.

Is that wheel slippage I hear from time to time? Who's at the throttle? Nice job indeed getting traction and keeping it hooked up!

They did not have the time to get it done...I've been told, she'll morph into a more Rio Grande-ish locomotive in time...

do you know what type of whistle she's wearing?
WSOR10C 3 years ago
yes a hooter whistle from the N&W.
Strasburg1991 3 years ago
it was a 14 inch hooter used by the N&W and Rio Grande. sounds just like 463.
