how did you get that 429 in there without modifying the shock towers??? i am in the process of building my 429 and i'm stuffing it in my '67. (everybody seems to say it requires cutting shock towers)

hey awsome ride, i also have a 429 i want to drop in my 68 stang, was it difficult fitting it in, and did you have to make any mods for the header clearence
I had no problem putting it in. no cutting the fire walls, got headers out of mustangs unlimited. kept c-6 tranny with police intersepter motor, put spool in rear with 391 gear had to modify tranny mount, is 3 inches longer. and shorten drive shaft. super powerful car to play around town in.
i had a f-600 old ass farm truck, took out 429 and sold motor for $300 to friend who put it in a stang. 89 i think. sweet engines, there the onty motor i would put in a stang!!
