I don't usually remember my dreams. But I have had reoccurring nightmares. Well, they're not nightmares to me, I will wake up and think Oh, that would make a great horror video. HA HA!!

Hi Trish. Many times I've dreamed that I was in the back seat of a car going for a ride, and then I came to realize that no one was behind the wheel driving the car! I was by myself in this car which was driving itself! It was quite frightening, and in the dream I would try to gain control of the vehicle before it crashed.
I have the nekkid dreams a lot, and the swinging dreams too every once in awhile. Ugh, it makes my heart queasy just thinking about it! But I have a recurring dream about a house and when I'm in the dream, I feel like this is my home or something but I can never remember what it looks like when I wake up.
Hi Trish, I have had many dreams. But I don't believe dreams are just mind stuff. Once I learned how to interpret them, they have told me my state of emotions, soul, told me I was getting sick, and other problems as well as several times even showed me the solutions.
Your soul speaks to you literally, the mind interprets it figuratively according what it is used to seeing and hearing. That is why they seem so whacked out. many have come to me for interpretation. It works every time.

My dream's are rilly sexy. Verry wierd sexy. But still sexy. But i can alway's tell when i'm in a dream or not. The puzzling thing is that i can feel pain in my dream's. I can feel every little thing, and what is even more wierd is that i can feel thing's i've never felt befoure.

I think that one where your legs are so heavy you can't run is very common.... i kmow i've had it too, but you're right that whatever is chasing us never catches us just like i never land when i'm falling in dreams!!
I have had many strange dreams, a recurring one I have had, was I was at school, and our assignment was to train a dog, everybody got a cute lab puppy, but when it got to me, they had run out of puppies and they gave me a really old sheepdog, all the other students were doing great training their puppies, but my old dog was too tired to do anything and I was very upset that everyone got one but me. I think it is because I have always wanted a puppy, but my parents always got old dogs. silly :)

Hi Trish. I rarely remember my dreams. I think it is because I'm always so sleep deprived that I just go into a sleep coma or something. I'm sure I dream, but I only remember them once in a while. You can come visit me in a dream or in reality any time you like! Love the butterfly!
I know there are stages of sleep and dreaming happens during the REM phase.... if i get woken up during the dreaming phase i am tired all day with a fuzzy head

Hi Twish - I've dreamt of flying before but nothing now. I'm thrilled when I dream of my mother who died 25 years ago. That's always a special treat. Also I can't forget (and certainly don't want to) dreams where I'm having a fling with a handsome exciting man. Yeah!
Twilight author had a drean which prompted her to write the books. She had never written anything before, but the dream was so compelling, she had to write it down and then pursue the story line. Now THAT'S A GREAT DREAM!
I have a hard time remembering my dreams, although I often have the feeling that I've had a lot of dreams. One of my recurring ones is that I can *kinda* fly. It starts off with me being able to dunk a basketball, (which I've never been able to do) and progresses to the point where I can fly about as well as a chicken can fly. The cool thing is that with every flight I have a thrilling sense of wonderment at the achievement of it even though I never get more than a few feet off the ground.
As I kid, I used to fly in my dreams a lot...sitting cross-legged and only about 2-5 feet above the ground...I used to love dreaming about flying above different New England country roads...
I'd love to fly in dreams..... in fact i'd love to fly in real life.... i'm often quite envious of birds as i watch them soaring above us all seemingly without a care in the world!
Oh Trish, my dreams have finally settled down and I like it that way.. I used to have very lucid dreams that would scare the crap out of me.. I work in an agency for developmentally disabled individuals. I have recurring dreams about seeing my clients in public (during my time off) and finding them abandoned and frightened. I have to take responsibility for them and try to find their staff or get them home. Who knows? :)
I think a lot of our fears and anxieties get played out in dreams..... i sometimes used to dream my Dad had passed away, but after he really did pass away i've never had that dream again
Last night i dreamt that I was driving in my car with Logan in the carseat in the back and a tornado was chasing us and I was trying to get away as fast as I oculd. I think i dreamt that because of the news yesterday about Balloon Boy's parents pleading guilty to misleading the poilice because they were storn chasers.
I also have had the naked in public dream, and the falling dream. Never flew though :-) And apparently Shawn said I talk in my sleep a lot.
When i was younger up until i got married, i used to have a recurring dream a bout a little boy...maybe a year old or so. It was always the same little boy with curly blond hair wearinga blue footed pajamas and in the dreams i was always holding him. That dream would probably come to me at least once or twice a month. Then they suddenly stopped when i got married, and i thought that was kind of strange.
i dream in vivd color....i have one dream over and over about living in a house and each dream i find a diffrent room...some are nice some are really scary...very odd..i once heard that if you do hit the deck in your dream...it means you died in your sleep....

I always dream in color. I've never had a black and white dream. Speaking of houses, that's also a recurring dream - that I'm in a house (never the same house) and keep going room to room but can't find my way out. Sometimes it's a stinky, falling-down house. (Which I have explored IRL in the past for the craic - they're always a bit spooky). :p

I have had many YT dreams, I've met Beth several times (I visited her too) and I went over to Susan's (tunisian's wife) house because she was having a domestic dispute with her husband.
What amazes me about dreaming is...if you are visiting a far-flung place in a dream...it cuts out all the boring parts about the travelling and details, and cuts straight to the important scenes!
I once dreamed that Princess Diana popped in for a cup of tea with me, but i wasn't at all phased by her presence..it was like she did it all the time!

This subject is so interesting...if i am anxious & stressed i will often have dreams where i've lost someone or something very imposrtant and can't find it...or i'm lost and i can't find my way....i very often dream about houses...it is the one main dream i have.....different houses each time, i could paint a picture of the houses when i wake that's how detailed the dreams of them are

Oh gosh, I just remembered - when my kids were small and we lived in MN, I used to dream all the time that the kids were in their car seats when the car went off the road and through the ice into a lake. Over and over, I tried to save them. When we left the frozen northland, they stopped. Weird; I'd forgotten til just now.
That may have been a conscious fear or anxiety that you really did have...because it's possible that that scenario could have happened...so maybe you were just dreaming out your fears..... what does MN stand for? ( sorry! i don't know all these state abbreviations yet )
Oh, so sorry - Minnesota. It is often colder there than in Alaska or Maine! I was a California girl who moved out there with a 1 year old and probably did have some fears. 13 years later, we moved down to Tennessee; follow the Mississippi River due south, then cross it and you're there. After a dozen years there, the opportunity to come back to California came up and the kids and I grabbed it.
Do you know i knew practically nothing about America before i joined YT, all i knew was from the films i've seen...but now i am really learning so much about it, and i so want to visit different places there..... it's such a HUGE place, makes me realise that the island that we call UK is TINY!
Now i plan amazing road trips in my mind of places i'd love to see in your country :-)

I think the hardest part would be to get sufficient time off work to make the trip rather than the expense...but i am planning on retiring when i'm 60 so maybe in the next 8 years i can save enough money and then actually do the trip for real...so yes, get planning!

Sometimes i can go a few nights without remembering any dreams and then i'll have a couple of nights where i remember exactly what happened in my dream...
My re-occuring dream is I'm driving up a bridge and it starts getting super steep and super high and I have to put the pedal to the metal so I don't fall backwards!
Dreams are fascinating. I use to dream that I was back in school but there was always this one class I was missing and for some reason I could never find the class room.
I think I've mentioned this before in a video but I have a recurring "pee" dream. Either it's in a mansion and there are 15 bathroom each more beautiful than the other and I can't pick the one I want to use. Or it's a public bathroom and every stall is more filthy than the next and I can't find a clean one to use. It's one or the other but always different places. I have this type of dream at least once maybe 2 times a week. I always remember this dream. haha. Hugs!
Oh Melissa i have had similar dreams.... or sometimes in a dream i am forced to use a toilet that is somewhere very public like in a shop window or even in the street!
Someone just recently asked this question. I had a recurring dream when I was young.. running slow-motion from something and always just about getting caught when I wake up. Heart thumping. I was chased by King Kong. I've never dreamed of flying. But falling down and down and down. Recently I had a dream that continued the next day. One day Scott had robbed a store, the next night my brother Jeff robbed a pharmacy. I thought that was bizarre!!
HAHAHA Yeah, that would be FUN!!! I used to have this one if my feet got caught in the foot board... It was the alligator from Peter Pan chomping on my feet. Always scared me and woke me up with heart racing. I like it best when outside noises/influences seep in to the dream!

Most of mine are really depressing and terrible not really nightmares just really sad.
That said though most of the others are werid or just crazy.
I don't have recurring but the worst i had was one where i robbed a bank with some friends and the cops found us at a friends house and were going to shoot us and just before they shot me in the face i saw me as a small child hugging my dad then i was shot in the face really f'd up dream.

Only me and oner person were speaking in the dream, and we were both speaking French. I think in French quite a bit. Mostly when I'm awake. I write music in my sleep, too. I wake up right away and get it onto manuscript paper before I forget it. (I keep the paper and a few pencils by the bed). Some of my most creative work was started this way. None of is finished, though!

I used to have a recurring dream when I was young where I was on a bike, pedalling furiously to escape a grizzly bear thundering up the street after me. It was like my feet were made of lead, and the bear got closer and closer until it reached out to claw my back. At that point I always woke up, thank goodness. Weird huh?
there was a large black bear on my front porch the other night...almost didnt realize it was there until I turned light on (I live just west of the Allegheny Forest in NW PA---definitely BEAR country(a far cry from my native nyc roots...no bears there...except in Bronx Zoo LOL)

A bad dream I've never forgotten also happened when I was a child. I won't tell the whole thing, but it involved my mother sitting in a chair in front of the window in a burning house with her arms folded and leaning on the windowsill. She was calmly pasting strips of newspaper on her arms where the skin had burned away. Pretty grisly.

I was once told that the dreams where we spin and fall are caused by variations in blood pressure as we sleep but i don't know if that's true...but dreaming of bears in your county is probably quite common i should think. I'd LOVE to see a real bear living in the wild
I dream that I can fly often, almost every night. But my ability to fly has limitations, and sometimes I can't because I have to wait until the "batteries recharge" lol I've often had a weird dream wherein I'm in a sort of cabin, and it's precariously perched atop a very tall pole, like a telephone pole, and if I go too far one way or the other-- it tilts so much that I have to run back the other way! Dreams are strange indeed, and I often wonder what they tell us about ourselves.
I know the type of dream you are talking about..... that balancing act may be a reflection of the balancing act we all have to do in our lives...or maybe your bed is lopsided LOL!

When I was a child I had numerous dreams where I was actually flying..... I would be about 50-100 ft high in the air soaring...and I would FEEL like it physically. I dreamed also as a child that my house filled with water, and I was swimming around in my house....(weird).
Scariest dream? Before we moved into our house 5 years ago, I dreamed my daughter was abducted by someone who lived farther down by the lake. Scariest most realistic dream ever.HORRIBLE

I think subconsciously it my moms spirit coming to me in my dreams to get me threw the holidays. Christmas time was her favorite holiday, so when the holiday season comes, these dreams I have with her always makes me feel better.
I dream of sleep.. as do we all right now! I have taken tonight off work as I haven't slept well over the weekend.. I also have things to attend to at home tomorrow, requiring an early start!

Hello Twish! Thanks for sharing this topic! Since the holidays are coming up, I have been having dreams about my mom, who passed away in 1997. I've been dreaming that I'm back home watching her make Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner and I'm helping her decorate, which is one of the things we loved to do. The weird thing is we never talk in the dreams, just a sence of happiness, and towards the end I tell her that I wish this was really happening and she tells me to cherrish these dreams forever.

Rather upsetting but the one dream (or dreams) that stick in my mind is when I had dreams several times that my father had passed away. A couple of days later I discovered that he had cancer. A couple of months later he passed away.

My dream's are rilly sexy. Verry wierd sexy. But still sexy. But i can alway's tell when i'm in a dream or not. The puzzling thing is that i can feel pain in my dream's. I can feel every little thing, and what is even more wierd is that i can feel thing's i've never felt befoure.

oh. i have a dream that a troll is chasing me thought my old home town. and a epic battle of magical skills and worlds begins. the sky turns into stormy hell. roads open up unleashing powers from another world. lighting is used as a weapon. wind is a enemy. the moon glows brightly as if a power from within is building inside. we clash as our eyes thurst for blood. ok too long for here haha. i still have it from as a kid. what the heck. peace. gregg

The one recurring dream that I had was about having to go back to school. I would have the most difficult time finding the classroom where I was supposed to go, and by the time I'd find it the teacher would be dismissing the class...

I find it fascinating that we can dream about people we've never actually met..i guess just seeing them and listening to them here on YT is enough for us to dream about them... i also dream about houses, i could describe to you in detail one particular house i always dream about that i have never actually seen in waking life!

I have had many strange dreams, a recurring one I have had, was I was at school, and our assignment was to train a dog, everybody got a cute lab puppy, but when it got to me, they had run out of puppies and they gave me a really old sheepdog, all the other students were doing great training their puppies, but my old dog was too tired to do anything and I was very upset that everyone got one but me. I think it is because I have always wanted a puppy, but my parents always got old dogs. silly :)

Hi Trish. I rarely remember my dreams. I think it is because I'm always so sleep deprived that I just go into a sleep coma or something. I'm sure I dream, but I only remember them once in a while. You can come visit me in a dream or in reality any time you like! Love the butterfly!

Hi Twish - I've dreamt of flying before but nothing now. I'm thrilled when I dream of my mother who died 25 years ago. That's always a special treat. Also I can't forget (and certainly don't want to) dreams where I'm having a fling with a handsome exciting man. Yeah!
Twilight author had a drean which prompted her to write the books. She had never written anything before, but the dream was so compelling, she had to write it down and then pursue the story line. Now THAT'S A GREAT DREAM!

I have a hard time remembering my dreams, although I often have the feeling that I've had a lot of dreams. One of my recurring ones is that I can *kinda* fly. It starts off with me being able to dunk a basketball, (which I've never been able to do) and progresses to the point where I can fly about as well as a chicken can fly. The cool thing is that with every flight I have a thrilling sense of wonderment at the achievement of it even though I never get more than a few feet off the ground.

Oh Trish, my dreams have finally settled down and I like it that way.. I used to have very lucid dreams that would scare the crap out of me.. I haven't had one in a long time and sometimes just talking about them will bring one on so I try to avoid the subject. I had nice dreams too, but now i stay up so late to try to avoid dreaming that I don't remember my dreams very often any more. :((

Oh, yes - the flying dreams where flying starts out easy, then gets harder and harder to "will" myself to stay aloft. And, yes, the naked in public dreams. What are those, eh? *lol*
I work in an agency for developmentally disabled individuals. I have recurring dreams about seeing my clients in public (during my time off) and finding them abandoned and frightened. I have to take responsibility for them and try to find their staff or get them home. Who knows? :)

Last night i dreamt that I was driving in my car with Logan in the carseat in the back and a tornado was chasing us and I was trying to get away as fast as I oculd. I think i dreamt that because of the news yesterday about Balloon Boy's parents pleading guilty to misleading the poilice because they were storn chasers.
I also have had the naked in public dream, and the falling dream. Never flew though :-) And apparently Shawn said I talk in my sleep a lot.

When i was younger up until i got married, i used to have a recurring dream a bout a little boy...maybe a year old or so. It was always the same little boy with curly blond hair wearinga blue footed pajamas and in the dreams i was always holding him. That dream would probably come to me at least once or twice a month. Then they suddenly stopped when i got married, and i thought that was kind of strange.

My son says he doesn't dream, but I hear him talk in his sleep and I know he does. Strange that he doesn't remember them, I remember almost all my dreams when I wake up.

I have had many YT dreams, I've met Beth several times (I visited her too) and I went over to Susan's (tunisian's wife) house because she was having a domestic dispute with her husband.

What amazes me about dreaming is...if you are visiting a far-flung place in a dream...it cuts out all the boring parts about the travelling and details, and cuts straight to the important scenes!
I once dreamed that Princess Diana popped in for a cup of tea with me, but i wasn't at all phased by her presence..it was like she did it all the time!
I do like talking about dreams, i am always telling my husband what i have dreamed about and his eyes tend to glaze over ... LOL!

When I was young, I used to dream that I could fly. Now & again, I dream that again, though not nearly as often anymore. Funny, I've just started remembering my dreams again after years of not. The other day I dreamed that I was coming down a water slide & my nose & mouth filled with water - I woke choking and coughing. I've had 'chapter' dreams where they continue but rarely remember them. When stressed, I dream that I watching children & lost them. :( Those wake me up in very anxious moods.

Oh gosh, I just remembered - when my kids were small and we lived in MN, I used to dream all the time that the kids were in their car seats when the car went off the road and through the ice into a lake. Over and over, I tried to save them. When we left the frozen northland, they stopped. Weird; I'd forgotten til just now.

Oh, so sorry - Minnesota. It is often colder there than in Alaska or Maine! I was a California girl who moved out there with a 1 year old and probably did have some fears. 13 years later, we moved down to Tennessee; follow the Mississippi River due south, then cross it and you're there. After a dozen years there, the opportunity to come back to California came up and the kids and I grabbed it.

I think the hardest part would be to get sufficient time off work to make the trip rather than the expense...but i am planning on retiring when i'm 60 so maybe in the next 8 years i can save enough money and then actually do the trip for real...so yes, get planning!

I think I've mentioned this before in a video but I have a recurring "pee" dream. Either it's in a mansion and there are 15 bathroom each more beautiful than the other and I can't pick the one I want to use. Or it's a public bathroom and every stall is more filthy than the next and I can't find a clean one to use. It's one or the other but always different places. I have this type of dream at least once maybe 2 times a week. I always remember this dream. haha. Hugs!

Someone just recently asked this question. I had a recurring dream when I was young.. running slow-motion from something and always just about getting caught when I wake up. Heart thumping. I was chased by King Kong. I've never dreamed of flying. But falling down and down and down. Recently I had a dream that continued the next day. One day Scott had robbed a store, the next night my brother Jeff robbed a pharmacy. I thought that was bizarre!!

HAHAHA Yeah, that would be FUN!!! I used to have this one if my feet got caught in the foot board... It was the alligator from Peter Pan chomping on my feet. Always scared me and woke me up with heart racing. I like it best when outside noises/influences seep in to the dream!

Most of mine are really depressing and terrible not really nightmares just really sad.
That said though most of the others are werid or just crazy.
I don't have recurring but the worst i had was one where i robbed a bank with some friends and the cops found us at a friends house and were going to shoot us and just before they shot me in the face i saw me as a small child hugging my dad then i was shot in the face really f'd up dream.

Only me and oner person were speaking in the dream, and we were both speaking French. I think in French quite a bit. Mostly when I'm awake. I write music in my sleep, too. I wake up right away and get it onto manuscript paper before I forget it. (I keep the paper and a few pencils by the bed). Some of my most creative work was started this way. None of is finished, though!

I never shut up when someone starts me off about dreams, the other week I dreamt that I went into work and all the shoes (I work in a shoe shop) had turned to chickens. and on saturday I woke up in the middle of the night being terrified of a material... I can't remember what I was dreaming but I remember waking Matt up to make sure that jeans where made out of denim and not whatever it was that I was frightened of. I think I'll try and make a video response on my day off next week :)

I used to have a recurring dream when I was young where I was on a bike, pedalling furiously to escape a grizzly bear thundering up the street after me. It was like my feet were made of lead, and the bear got closer and closer until it reached out to claw my back. At that point I always woke up, thank goodness. Weird huh?

I woke myself up talking 2 nights ago. Lol. I dreamed of flying once when I was a child and when I woke up, I had fallen out of bed and was on the floor. A bad dream I've never forgotten also happened when I was a child. I won't tell the whole thing, but it involved my mother sitting in a chair in front of the window in a burning house with her arms folded and leaning on the windowsill. She was calmly pasting strips of newspaper on her arms where the skin had burned away. Pretty grisly.

I was once told that the dreams where we spin and fall are caused by variations in blood pressure as we sleep but i don't know if that's true...but dreaming of bears in your county is probably quite common i should think. I'd LOVE to see a real bear living in the wild

I dream that I can fly often, almost every night. But my ability to fly has limitations, and sometimes I can't because I have to wait until the "batteries recharge" lol I've often had a weird dream wherein I'm in a sort of cabin, and it's precariously perched atop a very tall pole, like a telephone pole, and if I go too far one way or the other-- it tilts so much that I have to run back the other way! Dreams are strange indeed, and I often wonder what they tell us about ourselves.

I think I dream in color, but I can't tell, funny, isn't it? My dreams are very busy and I don't recall a recurring one. I hate when I wake up in the middle of a good dream! Frustrating!! I hate the dreams where someone is in trouble and you can't get to them! I'd like to see Rob in a video!! You look very pretty today in red!

When I was a child I had numerous dreams where I was actually flying..... I would be about 50-100 ft high in the air soaring...and I would FEEL like it physically. I dreamed also as a child that my house filled with water, and I was swimming around in my house....(weird).
Scariest dream? Before we moved into our house 5 years ago, I dreamed my daughter was abducted by someone who lived farther down by the lake. Scariest most realistic dream ever.HORRIBLE

I think subconsciously it my moms spirit coming to me in my dreams to get me threw the holidays. Christmas time was her favorite holiday, so when the holiday season comes, these dreams I have with her always makes me feel better.

I dream of sleep.. as do we all right now! I have taken tonight off work as I haven't slept well over the weekend.. I also have things to attend to at home tomorrow, requiring an early start!
But that aside, I can't think of a recent dream.. nothing I can publish on a family channel such as yours anyway!! :) :)

Hello Twish! Thanks for sharing this topic! Since the holidays are coming up, I have been having dreams about my mom, who passed away in 1997. I've been dreaming that I'm back home watching her make Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner and I'm helping her decorate, which is one of the things we loved to do. The weird thing is we never talk in the dreams, just a sence of happiness, and towards the end I tell her that I wish this was really happening and she tells me to cherrish these dreams forever.

That is lovely, and how comforting it must be for you to spend some time with your Mum doing happy things together in your dreams :-)
I lost my Mum in 2004 and sometimes i hear her voice in my dreams and hear her laughing and i always like it when that happens

I really enjoy my dreams.......I have some very crazy and vivid dreams...
I used to have a recurring dream where I would try to run home and my legs would feel like a ton of weight and i could not move much.....DRIVES ME CRAZY!
But this past year it seems that my dream has changed....I CAN RUN NOW
and i have even found some interesting vechicles to drive in and fly plans......8-D

This video really got me thinking.
Rather upsetting but the one dream (or dreams) that stick in my mind is when I had dreams several times that my father had passed away. A couple of days later I discovered that he had cancer. A couple of months later he passed away.
Great video. Dreams really are strange.

Interesting concept that we refile things into the proper slots in our brains...kind of like brain defragging.
My most vivid dream was when I was about 6. It was so horrifying and gruesome, I don't think I should repeat it here.
