this is bloody awesome. i want to learn this instrument. im a keyboard player. but somethings telling me i need this instrument. what is the model if it and what are all the effects or anything you are using. this has got to happen for me, how much have i got to spend? thanks
Thank you for your kind comments . My guitar is a Emmons Lashley LeGrande11 I am using a Boss ME5 unit with compression and reverb.I normaly play through my hi fi system with my effects in stereo. I bought my guitar about 7 years ago and it cost 5000 australian dollars. There are starter models that wont break the bank that worth looking at. Get on the Net and look at steel guitar suppliers in England you should find something.I hope that helps you Regards Chris
Thanks For Your Comments Id like to get a Peavy for my steel Most of the time my steel just plugs into my sound system which is rather old and the speakers are very tired Regards Joe Hand
The Steel goes through aBoss ME5 fx using compression and reverb and then into my digital recorder When Im playing with other people i use a old music man that is solid state pre amp and tube main. Or i use a Epiphone solid state.I hope to get a Peavy Nashville someday
Pretty cool!

Oh and, who do you consider the all time great pedal steel player? I don't know too many (I'm a pup, only 39) but loved Don Helms.
