Effortless singing. A slightly changed rendition- that makes it more appealing. Every time I listen to Talat , I am close to tears. He is indeed the finest singer after Saigal. So very different from the out of tune and "besura" Atif Aslams and Mohit Chauhans of today
I wonder how a voice tremble with tune! His velvety and silken voice is the asset of the whole world. We as Bangladeshi take pride in sharing that Mr. Mahmood was kind enough to playback in a Bangladeshi movie " Rajdhanir Book e" or " In the Lap of the Capital" and the song was " Tomare Legechey Ato Je valo, Chad Bujhi Ta Janey". Mr. Mahmood had sung many most popular Bengali songs as well. May Allah keep his soul in peace as his songs are keeping our souls peaceful.

How can anybody copy this great sweetness and control that Talat is showing so effortlessly. At this range, even Rafi would not be able to match Talat.
Thank you very much for this upload. This is more than Pure Gold. I believe this recording is from Talat Mahmood's concert in Royal Albert Hall in 1979. Beautiful. Thank you again.
I love Great India , Indian culture, people, songs & films because they are the best in the world ,unfortunately the Indian movie makers are trying to change their beautiful style in order to catch up with Western culture. To do that they're changing our great culture to western style and destroying Beautiful Indian - Pakistani culture. ( India is the Mother country of Pakistan ) WHERE ARE THE GREAT WRITERS, MUSICIAN, ACTORS, DIRECTORS, SIMPLICITY AND SKILL WORK WAS THE KEY OF SUCCESSES
Another superb from Madan Mohan Talat Mahmood duo. This was pictured on Manhar Desai in the film Madhosh. Meena Kumari was in the female lead. All the songs of the film were very popular.
Thanks a lot to musicnchilli for posting this song. This song has a special significance for me - my uncle (my dad's younger brother) passed away in 1984 (at a young age of 55) used to always tell us how he loved this song and that he would prefer us to remember him by this song! Such melody! Unbelievable! Maybe we Indians and Pakistanis can share this and forget about the separation of our borders (in response to benshehzad)
YOU !!!!!!! INDIANS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop killing me by putting such music on the channel. I cant take this anymore!!! Its too much guys. I am in tears. God Bless you all!!! Thank you for producing such gems who are unparalleled on this planet. I have no words. My dad loved these songs, me and my brother have inherited the taste. Thank you and love to you all!!!! From Pakistan.
THIS SONG WAS RECRDED IN THE B. B. C/ STUDIO IN BIRMINGHAM UK I WAS THER WHEN THIS RECRDING WAS DONE THAT PROGRAMME USED TO BE CALLED NAI ZINDGI NAYA JEEVAN . MOHINDER KAUL AND SALEEM SHAHID WERE PRODUCERS
Very beautiful song with excellet lyrics and music. Talaj ji sings in his soft, soothing unique voice with emotions of pain, dard. To watch him singing jthis video is treat fro eyes and ears.
Thanks musicnchilli ji.
Thanks ''chandrashekharjain'' ji ''Bhaiya'' for sharing. W.R. Didi.
This recording is very clear compared to the recordings done in India during the same period. Thank you for posting this . Our young generation should look at these great people and understand what they are missing. Powerful voice .. Salaam Talat saheb
One of the most beloved TM songs. I had the pleasure of meeting TM in the late 1970s briefly at a concert in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The eccentric Sajjad, an able but unforgiving and sarcastic MD, once called TM Ghalat Mehmood for making an error, and on another occasion is said to have sneered that TM " gaata nahin, rota hai." How unfair such words were even in jest! Of course, there's little dispute that no one could project pain in a melody as well as TM. Thanks for the post.
His voice is silky smooth touches u heart.King of Ghazals.
