this is one of the first rpgs i have ever played and i loved it . would like if it came out on the ps3 remastered/revamped . i think it would be awesome game .
This game has the most captivating story, the champion of all fantasy RPGs. I think they would profit most from making a near identical remake. While focusing on simply recreating as best as possible, they can focus all the creative resources that would normally be needed to make an RPG on writing a REALLY good prequel/sequel story. I think a prequel might be better... not entirely sure. Either way its gonna take some very good writers to match LOD1's story.

I would! I would love to see Lavits, Albert and Meru with the graphics you can see in many modern RPG games like FF13.
Besides, its not hard becouse all they have to do is sharpen some lines and take away square elements. its easy enough and worth the effort to set it on the Playstation Network Store for like 20$ to 30$ i guess.
I would pay that much for it, or even more if it helps convinse to make the sequel or prequel

I say that they should make an HD upgraded version of LoD, you know like better backgrounds, better character modeling, movements, colors, etc... and put it on PSN
Its not a full remake, just add some better graphics to what is there.
Sony's only good RPG. EverQuest excluded, Sony did not make that. Anyway, I know all of you like to dream and all but they won't remake this game. There is just no place in this streamlined imagination-free gaming world for anything too "thought out". Specially when people agree with much less. Why would they settle for an extremely long development time and high cost when they can just make another iteration of "what's currently flavor of the month" and make more money?
This game was, and is the perfect linear RPG. As much as I am sad that its over, I dont want a sequel or remake. A sequel would most likely ruin the magic the original holds over many people, and although a remake would be nice, I dont want to deal with all the newfags who think they are huge LoD fans.
They shouldn't make any new game about Dart and other guys! Because Sony now sucks! If they made LOD2, they would destroy whole legend about this perfect game ;)
The only right move is to leave this game or made it on ps2/ps3 in the same state (maybe they can improve graphics a little)

This game goes beyond under-appreciated. Dragoon 2 NEEDS to come out. There's so much they could do with everything that happened before Dragoon. There's 11,000 years of history to cover before Dragoon. They could cram enough new info in there to make a double disc game on the PS3. God forbid another 4 disc Dragoon though. On PS3. 200 hours of gameyplay "ALRIGHT TIME FOR DISC 2!"
@GamingGuider so true, it was on the PS1 first but I would like to have it on both PC and PS3 PC because I love turn based games that are mouse friendly. Had the original game along wiht FF7 but then my brother broke all 8 discs and throw them in the bin. ;(

Just got all my old ps1 games back out of my dads storage and omg I forgot how much FF VII and legend of dragoon rock. PS1 had some killer games not like today where they rely on graphics to sell a game this is when game content ruled the console and story telling was king.

This game needs to go back and tell the version of The Dragon Campaign. The Glympse of the cinemes back then where amazing, imagine what they could do with PS3 graphics.
i disagree i know of a good sequal. perhaps rose is dead but the black monster lives on. perhaps lloyd lives as well. perhaps a new threat is found and they must reunite and find another rose. there are many ways it could branch out if you use your imagination.

They will never make a second game. There is nowhere to carry the story. Everything came to one final conclusion in the end. I think they should remake this game on the PS3. With modern hardware, this game could be the next best RPG.
@VadimPravda It gives me chills thinking about a PS3 remake of LOD. Can you imagine the Hoax scene in fully rendered, 1080p HD? Having trophies and unlockable secrets? I doubt it will ever happen though.

@heathfiedler I agree with you, there have been many times I have mentioned that they should make a prequel to the game. and they can still make a sequel too i believe. there where not very many lose ends. but there was still a few small ones.
@Gaiagow There actually was ONE loose end, but it might not be enough to carry the story... Soa. All of the original's story revolves around Soa's divine plan of creation and destruction, but a group of mortals could stop it. It leaves me with a few questions: was it truly Soa's will for the world to be destroyed, and if is was, why could mortals stop it? Will he make another attempt? If it wasn't his will, why did he even create the Virage?
@Metalmattress4 Soa's plan was fro each of the 108 fruits to be born. The last one was supposed to be the God of Destruction. Since they stopped it. Now the world is free to live beyond Soa's scope of existance. But Soa's second attempt seems a bit sketchy. Soa is the creator, but whos to say he is still alive?

But still, it seems odd that a being powerful enough to create a world wouldn't be able to guarantee the world's destruction; and why create a world in the first place only to have it destroyed? And I agree, a second attempt would be sketchy (and a bit unoriginal), but I was just hypothesizing, not really predicting. Cool idea that Soa might be dead, though. Hmm...
@Gaiagow they can make a prequel as an addition to the original game...put everything all onto the ps3 with new graphics...have the game pick up in rose's perspective back in the day when the winglies and dragon campaign went on. does anyone else notice about the possibility of being two version of the game being released.....i can tell from game play that there are some much better in quality than others...not from tv but the actual game play graphics.
im not saying the combat system was bad but with the systems we have now are so much more advanced lets take advantage of it and make it more intense to make you in depth in the battles. It would be awesome!
I dont want another one personally, this game was absolutely my favorite of all time. I feel like no matter how hard they tried they could never get that same feeling the first one had which would just cause me to be disappointed
however if they do attempt it i vote for a prequel, maybe a game that covers the dragon campaign, where you play as zeig or rose
theres a petition for making the second one more people just have to commit to voting for it, i mean i just did it and it took me like 1 minute all u do is put ur name and email then press vote and it registers your vote seriously if you want them to make the second one just google it and vote really quick. its at like 25,500 right now but i think more would help just tell people about this...
I hope they don't make a second one, theres nowhere to go, unless they made like a prequel to show the story of the Dragon Campaign. Or if they Remade it and did a more up do date combat system like real time. But a very cool Video

Maybe update it so you can do things like pick change additions midbattle, but keep the basic premise the same

I'm not sure about all the details, but you can buy a memory card adapter for about $15 that will let you import you old save data from your ps1 memory card, retailer varies, I ordered mine from Gamestop.
This game was so underrated. And yes, sony does need to make up a another game for it. Preferably a prequel, about the Dragon Campaign and that war between humans, dragoons, and dragoons vs Winglies at the hieght of their power. It would be so cool. A sequel idk where you ca go with that but they definitely made a gap where they can talk about the Dragon Campaign. One of the most underrated games of all time if not the most.

my favorite game for ps was all ways legend of the dragoon and chrono cross there both great games but in Legend of the dragoon I got to disc 4 and my sister took my case for the game whitout telling me and left the cd in her cabinet and wen she gave it to me it was so damaged I cound have never played it and chrono cross I never pass the 1 disc and the 2 disc my dad threw away the the case With the cd in sooo.....yeah.... really bad luck that I got.

This game is the BEST game in the entire world nothing could come close to beating it. Iv'e beaten this game at least 5 times sor far and iv'e only had it for about two years. I think that a movie would be awesome or at least a book. but i have been hoping for a legend of dragoon 2 for about a year now and hopefully it will come out but i doubt it will. if i could ever find the creator of this game i would love to talk to him about a second game. yes, a book would be enjoyable as well. and that's sopmething someone could write and submit to sony for permission to publish. but still... a prequel game would be optimal. and btw, i grew up with thuis game and have long since lost count of the times i've beaten it. all dart's and meru's and albert's additions are second nature to me, lol.

I agree. A prequel would definately be the way to go for this game. This game was the very first RPG I've ever played, and it's still in my top 5 favorite games of all time.
I read that part 2 was also in development along with Socom 4, but I don't know about believing it 100% but i wish they'd do this and make it GOOD, DONT MESS IT UP.
No there isn't a two but certainly it deserves one. I was working on a plot for a two myself. Personally I am in favor of a movie prequel rather than a game. There's enough info where they could do the movie without near as much risk of ruining the original's glory which scares me about the new game, as a very devout fan (Self-proclaimed numer 1) I am both excited and skeptical. I just dont want to see its glory ruined and it thrown away as the original was undeervingly. You guys understand.
This game deserves alot more credit than it ever got. It was a truly amazing game and its graphics as seen above are amazing, to see those improved to me is a near immpossible feet.

@heathfiedler I agree with you, there have been many times I have mentioned that they should make a prequel to the game. and they can still make a sequel too i believe. there where not very many lose ends. but there was still a few small ones.

@Gaiagow There actually was ONE loose end, but it might not be enough to carry the story... Soa. All of the original's story revolves around Soa's divine plan of creation and destruction, but a group of mortals could stop it. It leaves me with a few questions: was it truly Soa's will for the world to be destroyed, and if is was, why could mortals stop it? Will he make another attempt? If it wasn't his will, why did he even create the Virage?

@Metalmattress4 Soa's plan was fro each of the 108 fruits to be born. The last one was supposed to be the God of Destruction. Since they stopped it. Now the world is free to live beyond Soa's scope of existance. But Soa's second attempt seems a bit sketchy. Soa is the creator, but whos to say he is still alive?

@Gaiagow That's an interesting thought... I hadn't considered that Soa might be dead. But still, it seems odd that a being powerful enough to create a world wouldn't be able to guarantee the world's destruction; and why create a world in the first place only to have it destroyed? And I agree, a second attempt would be sketchy (and a bit unoriginal), but I was just hypothesizing, not really predicting. Cool idea that Soa might be dead, though. Hmm...

@Gaiagow they can make a prequel as an addition to the original game...put everything all onto the ps3 with new graphics...have the game pick up in rose's perspective back in the day when the winglies and dragon campaign went on. does anyone else notice about the possibility of being two version of the game being released.....i can tell from game play that there are some much better in quality than others...not from tv but the actual game play graphics.

I dont want another one personally, this game was absolutely my favorite of all time. I feel like no matter how hard they tried they could never get that same feeling the first one had which would just cause me to be disappointed
however if they do attempt it i vote for a prequel, maybe a game that covers the dragon campaign, where you play as zeig or rose

theres a petition for making the second one more people just have to commit to voting for it, i mean i just did it and it took me like 1 minute all u do is put ur name and email then press vote and it registers your vote seriously if you want them to make the second one just google it and vote really quick. its at like 25,500 right now but i think more would help just tell people about this...

Maybe update it so you can do things like pick change additions midbattle, but keep the basic premise the same

This game was so underrated. And yes, sony does need to make up a another game for it. Preferably a prequel, about the Dragon Campaign and that war between humans, dragoons, and dragoons vs Winglies at the hieght of their power. It would be so cool. A sequel idk where you ca go with that but they definitely made a gap where they can talk about the Dragon Campaign. One of the most underrated games of all time if not the most.

legend of dragoon was like a legendary game. it was so intense and amazingly kinda hard and i hope they make a number 2 everyone would buy it and it would just bring joy to everyone on the other hand they made one and people everywhere are still playing it like crazy. it would be a hard game to make a second one for and what would happen. its a far off idea but i think in a couple years someone should try to make a vote or something to make the second one.

my favorite game for ps was all ways legend of the dragoon and chrono cross there both great games but in Legend of the dragoon I got to disc 4 and my sister took my case for the game whitout telling me and left the cd in her cabinet and wen she gave it to me it was so damaged I cound have never played it and chrono cross I never pass the 1 disc and the 2 disc my dad threw away the the case With the cd in sooo.....yeah.... really bad luck that I got.

This game is the BEST game in the entire world nothing could come close to beating it. Iv'e beaten this game at least 5 times sor far and iv'e only had it for about two years. I think that a movie would be awesome or at least a book. but i have been hoping for a legend of dragoon 2 for about a year now and hopefully it will come out but i doubt it will. if i could ever find the creator of this game i would love to talk to him about a second game. yes, a book would be enjoyable as well. and that's sopmething someone could write and submit to sony for permission to publish. but still... a prequel game would be optimal. and btw, i grew up with thuis game and have long since lost count of the times i've beaten it. all dart's and meru's and albert's additions are second nature to me, lol.

No there isn't a two but certainly it deserves one. I was working on a plot for a two myself. Personally I am in favor of a movie prequel rather than a game. There's enough info where they could do the movie without near as much risk of ruining the original's glory which scares me about the new game, as a very devout fan (Self-proclaimed numer 1) I am both excited and skeptical. I just dont want to see its glory ruined and it thrown away as the original was undeervingly. You guys understand.
