  • LOL I told yall roy was gonna take it, you guys must have lost your mind picking tito lol and don't count roy out yet, he might be old but I think he can still hang in there with calazaghe.

  • P4P360, LOL Come on dawg we all picked Roy except for Sleep(who took his lumps on the new vid). Now here's where we part ways, Roy is shot!!! Roy beat up on a faded blown up jr welterweight. Roy lost all his reflexes, he's still fast but his defense is suspect and he relied on his reflexes as his defense. He loses to all the premier light heavy's imo Coltrane

  • I started back peddling when I saw the weigh-in LOL! Tito just doesn't look as if he trains at a championship level. I took it like a man on the new vid.

    Sleep

  • well guys you must eat those words, Roy tacs that ass, and fellas dont down play it and say Tito was off for 2yrs cause he didn't look bad at all its just Roy is back.

  • I agree that Roy stepped up but at the same time Tito's effort should not be passed as irrelevant. I am quite sure many expected him to be worse than he was. He held his own when all odds were stacked against him (mental and physical).

  • True, what do you guys think of the rematch between Mayweather and Deloya, its in the works for September the deal is almost do, Oscar will have a tune up fight May 3.

  • Coltrane - I think there was still alot of fighting potential in Tito and he showed that he was certainly not old and out. His quickness may have slow somewhat and his punch lacked some effect that it once had but I still think that once he get back in at his ideal weight - there will be hell to pay for his opponents.

  • well justice love and peace maybe your right but I think Taylor, Pavlik and Miranda beg to differ lol Coltrane

  • Do you think he has the dedication to get to a comfortable weight? I don't know, because he barely made the 170. I'm all for Tito giving me the memories I once had, but Tito showing up in this condition at this point of his career was very disapointing.

    Sleep

  • True I agree with you 100!

  • Gotta say that roy looked good last night, he was just to strong for tito. I am from U.K and i have to say that as good as joe calzaghe is at the mo it will be a good fight but roy wins. What suprised me last night also is how during the breaks how roy was anylizing the fight with his trainer and so calmly. O yeah and hopkins gonna get whooped come april!

  • Can't really give any of these fighters too much praise. Jones still showing that he lacks the finishing strength. Tito showing his lack of head movement. Entertaining but Friday night Fights was better. The Bum show is over. Can we get to the cream of the crop. PAVLIK vs Taylor 2. Pac man vs Marquez 2.....

  • Batosmak, I couldn't agree more, all though I thought it was entertaining, but both of these fighters are way pass their primes and will lose to all the elites. Coltrane

  • Boxingexpo, I thought it was all smoke and mirrors. I love Roy as a fighter and a as a character but he did what he was suppose to do against a old blown up jr welterweight. You have Roy beating Calzaghe but Hopkins losing to him? Oh your going to love how we break the Hopkins/Calzaghe down lol GYGB VS The UK part II LOL. Coltrane

  • loved this fight, cant believe how strong RJJ looked in there.. He looked so relaxed and entertaining.. cant wait for the Calzaghe match up!!

  • Stemecca what up dawg? where you been at? Well Roy is the (natrual)bigger and faster fighter so I wasn't surpised but what surpised me was how slow and flat Tito looked. He will lose to Miranda,Taylor and Pavlik imo. Coltrane (keep in touch homie)

  • man all i gotta say is that was a great fight...i gotta say tito coming off 2 yr retirement, moving up to 170, and then handling roy for 5 rounds and not still not get hurt or blown out for 12 rounds,...tito still got it, if tito goes down to 160 he will destroy the fighters there, anyone agree??...

  • davidgalind07, I agree with you about the fight but disagree abot Tito dominating at 160 I say this because Tito is not fighting frindge contenders at this stage of his career, everyone that's worthy is at 168 now. Tito look very old, slow, methodic and his punches look very flat. Taylor,Miranda and Pavlik all walk him down and puts him to sleep imo. Coltrane

  • i wanna renforce the excuse/valid point for roy's dwnfall. him wasting away 2 get bak dwn to lhw was rediculous. >25lbs of Muscle, u dont burn muscle u digest it(Proteolysis). i definately contribute that to his dwnfall. i can see an older rjj ruling smw.

  • Jantzen212003, valid points however Roy still is not the old Roy he stll lacks those reflexes which kept him out of harms away in years past. I picked Roy because he was the bigger and faster fighter but he loses to the premier light heavy's Dawson & Hopkins.

  • Definitely a better fight than i expected i think jones is dreamin if he thinks he can beat joe c he will simply be outworked.

  • thnk about ur comment. feather fisted calzaghe has speed but wat else? a matchup wit rjj would be nice 2 see considering how he performed 2 nite. rjj has no legs and calza has no hands. n thnk they may be even speed wise. and roy does have pop in his fist.

  • 20 and 0 lol It was entertaining it shows boxing lacks these types of personalities. I agree I'm not getting carried away with his victory over a old and blown up welter weight. Coltrane

  • Roy Jones Jr took a leaf out of Winky Wright's book and guarded his grill.

  • GMANHITMAN,lol I like the little GYGB promo your check's in the mail lol. Roy picked Tito punches off like a all pro free safety. Coltrane

  • shut up u guys dont know shit about boxing idiots fuckin pussy

  • tortillademais, thanks for posting homie we love you 2 lol Coltrane

  • this guys looks stupid

  • Nonetheless, Tito should not be dissed he showed that he is certainly not out but I think he should drop 10lbs to where he rightfully belongs. MAD PROPS to both but ROY showed he is the better of the two in the last few rounds.

  • Justiceloveandpeace, here's te problem he's older now and him fighting at 170 proves he can't get down but so low anynmore. If he goes to 160 who will he fight with any draw power ? I don't think at this stage of his career he's fighting fringe contenders. Keep in mind everyone moved up fom 60 to 68 Coltrane

  • hey but you do agree that tito held roy pretty good...at least i seen that...and i think he could make 168...tito did a great job in my mind...what do you think he should do??...fight de la hoya?, stay at light heavy?,...from what i seen i think he could still fight

  • I'm not saying he can't fight but can he fight effective is the question? DId he look like the Tito of old to you? He basically waked into right hands and threw meaningless punches all night. I saw a older fighter who would have trouble keeping a younger game opponent off of him not to mention he always had a suspect chin and Miranda, Pavlik and Taylor all can crack. The ideal fght is against Oscar but can he get down to 54 or 60 is the question? Coltrane

  • Coltrane - I disagree to some extent. I dont think Tito was as bad as you declare. I think that what RJJ managed to do successfully was to psych Tito out. RJJ appeared extremely calm in the corner and taunted Tito in the ring.

  • I agree that he wont have impressive contenders right away but I think it would do some good to boxing nonetheless. I was alot more impresed with Tito than you were. Clearly RJJ stepped up and he was the most comfortable man in the ring - and that comfort made a huge difference. Tito looked way better than the majority of guys out there today so I got to give him credits.

  • I have to disagree JusticeLoveand Peace, Tito was very slow and not himself. He's to slow at 170. I don't know if Tito should continue unless he can get down to 154.

    Sleep

  • Sleep - I dont think that he was slow but clearly he was slower than his usual self. But like I said before you could have looked in Tito's eyes and see that he was psyched out. RJJ managed to get into his head after Round 3. For Tito to get to 154 might be a lil difficult but that would be the ultimate for me - He would certainly be a force still.

  • PS Which is which? You guys need to clarify who's who? Which one of is Coltrane? Who was the one I was agreeing with in the black cap? Clarify who's who though. Much respect.

  • Justiceloveandpeace,Sleep is the guy(wearing the hat) you agree with, I actually wasn't on this shoot. Coltrane

  • JusticeLoveandPeace

What up! I'm Sleep in the hat.

    Sleep

  • I will certainly be tuning to you guys for future clashes. Keep posting - Keep it clean - Keep it real. Great lil club. Peace.

  • LAST PREDICTIONS HERE...if the fight goes over 6 its gonna be titos fight...tito never gets tired roy will get tired....

  • Bien hecho. Nice and well done very profesional I like when you said that TITO is going to win. ViVa Puerto Rico

  • raul,Welcome to the family boricua. Sleep is picking Tito the rest of GYGB is picking Roy. Thanks for visiting the best boxing show in the world. Coltrane

  • well done boys. Im still goin with Roy though. Hope his skills are still there. At 170 he'll be too much for Trinidad.

  • tito in 2 rounds

    then vs de la hoya

  • I will say though that if Tito comes in at his best and Roy at his - once they get to 6 - TITO WILL DOMINATE. Guess we will have to wait a few hours more. I am a true female boxing fanatic. (Thanks for posting)

  • Justiceloveandpeace, welcome the GYGB family. We welcome all fans here so thanks for chiming in. I agree if the fight goes pass 6 then it's Tito's fight. Roy new stlye of defense (late in fights) is camping out on the ropes which is a no no against Tito. Coltrane

  • Thanks. I guess you'll probably arguing it out now with the results (ROY REIGNS). I think that the night showcased good skills from the two but clearly ROY was way more comfortable at that weight though.

  • Even though I agree with everything he said - I am afraid to step up and make a prediction since its been a minute since I've seen these cats so I have no idea who's in the better shape.

  • I really miss these guys ... there skills and their aura. The boxers today - though they have skills they do not linger in your mind or grab you as a fan 'cause they lack the latter.

  • I completely agree with the guy in the black cap. Everything from his argument of Cotto vs. Trinidad to his critique of Roy. He has them both nailed - and I agree that this fight will be significant. It's a chance to see boxing accompanied by character and zeal.

  • love the show boys!!! keep it up.

still think jones in the 5th but im a massive roy jones fan id say he beat any1 ha ha, anything 1 think calzaghe can beat hopkins??? i think he stop him in the 10th

  • daveybrownjr .....you are on the wrong site if you are going against Hopkins. Not to disrepect to my boys at GYGB but they have Hopkins against the world.

Tito murders Cotto back in the day. After he fought Oscar.....he was in his prime. Cotto is not there, YET.

  • Big Mike, where the hell you been at lol I actually picked Taylor over Hopkins and your point was again ? lol We'll get into the Hopkins/Calzaghe chatter later on.

Trinidad knocks Cotto out in his prime Cotto is to careless defensively Counter left hook puts Cotto right to sleep lol Coltrane

  • Coltrane was show was that?

  • We didn't have the show then lol

  • daveybrownjr welcome to the family my friend. I'm picking Roy as well. I think even a faded Roy beats Trinidad. The way you feel about Roy I felt the same way about Whitaker lol so I hear you homie.

  • Wow this is probably the best most intresting show on a fight i've seen on youtube. People that actually back up what they say with intelligent points. I still say Jones Jr by KO round 6. Roys in the best shape i've seen him in since he came down from Heavyweight and lost all that muscle.

  • gmanhitman,

Thanks for the props and welcome to the family! I just don't see Jones being disciplined enough to beat Tito. I see Jones looking very good early, but making a mistake late in the fight. One thing we know, tito will not stop.

    Sleep

  • ok i just gotta go wit the facts...tito is younger and stronger, roy is faster an has better boxing skills, tito has fought 2wice in 4 yrs,roy has been ko'd 2wice in 4 fights, tito got up,roy didnt get up,tito has trouble wit movers, roy has trouble wit presser punchers,if roy can move for 12 rnds, an i dont think he can anymore, then he could win, but i just dont see that..i say tito by ko or late stopage

  • davidgalindo07,

People don't understand that you have to jab to beat Tito. Roy will get countered in this fight. If Roy looks great early, he must remain great for 12 rounds.

    Sleep

  • im sooo sick of people saying tito an roy are washed???.lets see, oscar is 35,floyd is 32,bhop is 41,tarver38,forest 38,mosley 35,toney 39,calzage 35, no one says there washed??...so wtf??...i dont get it? that pisses me off...just enjoy the fight...this is a bigger fight and definetly will be better then de la hoya/mayweather...im still as exited to see it as i was in 2001...im just a boxing fan thats all...

  • We live in the days and times of the one and doners. Roy's reflexes have definitely slowed ,but if he claims that he finally has his body back I'm excited. The game needs personalities who will make great fights.

    sleep

  • Yo whatdafuck is going on B ? Why is niggaz jacking yall swagger B? I will not mention this wack ass show and give them shine but them niggaz got bodied by GYGB now they biting yall shit? I just posted and blasted them niggaz son word to my mutha. Sleep & Coltrane I told yall I'm riding for yall my dudes. GYGB run this, just look around and see these other show biting they shit. Word is bond!

  • Cuban Linx, first song on the second side of the purple tape!

    Sleep

  • Put the guy on the right in the centre, because otherwise it looks like you're cornering the poor dude. I agree with him: Roy is going to get knocked out, again.

  • Roy jones by UD

  • Good show....

I think Jones should beat Tito easy...Too much speed and skills.

  • executioner1989,

His reflexes has slowed to the point that he gets countered. You have to jab to keep Tito off of you. Roy does not do that effectively.

    Sleep

  • It was Margarito who refused to fight Winky because Winky said he cant go lower than 154 at weight and Margarito fter a beating from Santos said he wont fight at 154 never again lol. By that time Margarito refused also to fight Ishe smith and Ouma at 154.

  • Good point. How come Margarito refuses to call out Paul?

    Sleep

  • He has called out Paul for the rematch. I know his manager as well and Winky did not take that fight he said it was to little. Winky saids he wants to get down to 147 so why didnt he fight at 154. Santos was on his way out look at that 5th round homie. jones should win he is active, plain and simple

  • Dawg I caught your little Brooklyn cheap shot B. We got alot of history in this borough alone, not even mentionining the whole city. Were you from VATO? Your boy Oscar will never be the fighter Floyd is he lost his big fights Floyd won all his lol. Floyd bracelet cost more then what Cotto made in his last fight. Admit it your a hater Floyd is multi now and you hating on his check game.

  • He aint call for no rematch stop taking up for your VATOS. Bob Arum said Margarito won the first fight with Paul and their was no need for another fight. Let me translate - the same thing would happen again, Magarito follows and walks into Paul gloves all night. Anybody that loses to Daniel Santos and barely beat a one arm Clottey deserves to be on undercards or fighting at banquet hall's not as the main event at a major venue.

  • Oh I aint done B, You call Floyd "ghetto" this may be true at least he's being himself unlike Rupaul I mean Oscar lol Brookln

  • qquezvas,

From what I've seen, the margarito camp has done everthing to discredit that loss to Paul. They seem to be heading into a different direction as well as the whole division. Activity is important, but I know Tito will continue to be a game fighter for 12 rounds. He's dangerous from 1 through 12.

    Sleep

  • Sleep, your right don't listen to that nigga quezvas who makes every excuse in the world for his chicano homies. Margarito aint fighting Paul ever again, what will he do different? He's a uncard fighter. Oh this was Kanye best track but damn why Common have to bless it? Jay bodies shit on this track lol

  • ringking187,

Common did justice to this joint. Jay aint have a Ye joint on the last album. Did he?

    Sleep

  • wrong! roy is gonna take this one, you have a guy who's never fought at light heavyweight against a guy who's been there his whole career, and don't compare tarver and johnsons power to tito's power.

  • P4P360, where you been at homie ? You know their's only one show that matters GYGB! lol Trinidad I believe can bring his power to any weight class but Roy should have enough speed left to throw lead right's to a k-o. Coltrane

  • Nobody is talking how much work Jones has had to endure to make 170. Not long ago he had the same problem making weight and what happened? He got the tko'd!!

    Dont sleep on Tito..

  • Chorillo, I agree with you he's pretty much back to 168 again all though it's technically 170 lbs. I think that could factor in, that's why I'm picking Roy early and Trinidad late. Coltrane

  • Hey bud upon your response of my email. Is Roy coming in at 168? Goodness this could be detremental for him. I agree with you as well. But my question is would Roy take a chance and be in the pocket and take a chance of getting tagged with a vintage left hook of my boy from cupey alto p.r.?

  • Chorillo their fighting at 170 which is pretty much supper middleweight. Roy hasn't been this light since the infamous "chicken hawk" move he put on James"lights out"Toney lol. Roy will try to fight from the pocket if he doesn't it will be "lights out" for him lol.

  • Good one Bud, I know tito has never fought in 170 but my question to you is. I only hope Papa Trinidad wont make him come in any heavier than 170 right? I only assume when Tito fought at middleweight he came in weighing 165 maybe at fight night? And what weight you think Roy will come in on fight night?

  • Chorillo,he wont weigh over 170 lbs maybe 175 tops Roy will weigh around 177. This is a high weight for Trinidad but I believe he carries his power at any weight. Coltrane

  • I gotta get back at yah. first of all... Keep doing what your doing... I love the intro music man ..you guys are alright and old school... my man sleep prob has it right... BTW... the infamous was one of my fave 90's albums...anyway sleep has alot right about the weight loss...

  • THELGPuppetMaster, thanks for the love homie. We try to keep it real "gutter" with our selection of music lol. This is the music we all grew up on. Chad Dawson is the most feared lightheavy in the game he can flat out box and he's young. None of these ole l/h want it with "Bad Chad". Coltrane

  • I got one question for you... For the light heavyweight division my friend... You tell me who is better in the light heavyweifht division... Chad Dawson? This is a stepping stone for Roy Jones Jr. to attempt to get Calzaghe... thats a fact my man... Its also a long short for Tito to have one lucky shot to use Roy as a stepping stone to come back again...if Winky did to him roy is gonna kill him... you heard it here...Roy WANTS THIS MAN>>> I know how he trained...

  • When its all said and done Tito will have had a better career than Cotto. Cotto is a game fighter but Tito is his idol even though he wont admit it. As far as Roy Jones he needs to just commentate. If he gets knocked out by Tito it will be hard to respect his opinion. Roy is done. Purists don't want this fight. These fighters should appreciate this payday because it will probably will be there last. Peace and Blessings...........

  • batosmk I beg to differ Roy has won titles in four weight/classes. His victories over h.o.f's James Toney (which he dominated)& B-HOP alone makes his resume far more superb then Tito's. I love Tito but keeping it funky, his biggest victory is a fight most people had him losing and that was against ODLH. Whitaker doesn't count lol Coltrane

  • The first heavily promoted fight of 08 should not be this fight. As good as 07 was no one should be talking about neither of these fighters. You're copping pleas for Roy Jones. That was 93 Col its 08. I respect your opinion but have to agree to disagree. I got 2 words for your boy Roy. Vinny Pazienza. Ya'll must have forgot...

  • Damn batosmak the way you responded reminded me of Roy's hand speed lol Vinny Pazienza ? you aint have to go there lol Your right it's 08 and Roy doesn't have them cheetah like reflexes anymore but it is what it is they two living legends putting on one last show .Don't worry 08 will be just as good as 07 if not better, right after this Taylor/Pavlik 2 and then Manny Wackia LOL/Marquez following. Coltrane

  • tito looked kinda fat...but he said hes been training for 6 months...i pick tito by decision

  • lol

  • This was the first show I saw of u guys. This is some good shit. I disagree with the decline of Roy Jones, it was opposition more than weight loss. Before the Ruiz fight, RJ could fight at a distance and pick a guy apart. In the first Tarver fight he barely got away with it, and he got caught in the two other tarver fights and the fight with johnson.

  • Shaft226, thanks for the love homie. It's not often people lose 25 lbs in between fights so that had to play some type of role -right? Special talents do get old in the ring ala Leonard,Whitaker,Ali etc. Father time always show up unanounced lol He beats Johnson and Tarver easy in the mid 90's just ask Toney & Hopkins lol. keep in touch Coltrane

  • i say tito lands the big one..and its lights out for roy....roy is to old to run for 12 rounds so at one point hes gonna hav to stand and fight and tito will put him down

  • both got suspect chins but Roys chin is glass, one and he is done, Tito has good recovery he has tasted the canvas but has gotten up before.

I will enjoy this fight though but damn roy jones jr fighting a blown up 147 pounder lol.

  • well tito is not really a 147 pounder..he always had trouble making 147..hes a natural 160...but i dont know how he will be at 170...hes carried his punch for 3 wieght classes..i think he carries it to 170...hes just a natural puncher...will just hav to see jan 19th!!!!!

  • ginogeno, lol "blown up 147 pounder" well that's what he is. However he walks around like a heavyweight lol. It's for pure enertainment I'll enjoy it. Coltrane

  • good point, if it goes into late rounds your absolutlely right davidgalindo07. Coltrane

  • This the way I see it.

it can go many different ways and the fight is def worth ppv money, cause its unpredictable this the type of fight you watch just to enjoy.

I see it like this if tito is gonna win he will win by tko or knockout. IF it goes the distance its roy jones jr pot shotting and showboating against the smaller tito.

But I believe roy jones jr will knock tito out, tito has been inactive and he will lose power at 170 his frame is meant for 154.

  • Too bad this fight is about 8 years too late as I would of picked Roy in about 3 or 4 rounds by k-o. Blessed with freak of nature speed, reflexes and power, "Tito" would of been easy work for R.J. However it's 2008 and Roy loss all those attributes and Tito is "gangsta" as they come despite being the smaller man and a bit faded as well, I still favor Roy by k-o 6 or 7th round sounds about right? Coltrane

  • I agree with Dox... Roy wins a boring fight.. Tito has not laced them up in a while. If this fight were 3-5 yrs ago, Roy might have gone to sleep. I can see Roy winning a UD, unless he sits on the ropes.
