SnS works well for kirin, Eternal Strife comes to mind, however the easiest by far for me was hammering kirin i used a high raw damage i think it was called blacksmith on MHFU, its been forever since ive played but i distinctly remember hammering kirin into submission in less than half the time it would take me to SnS him.

I believe it. It's all possible, but definitely a nightmare. In MH1 most groups didn't carry enough sonic or flash bombs, or mats to make them because they didn't want to clutter their bags and would rely on the 'other guy' to do something about it.

Melee on Fatalis was the only impossible thing I ever ran into. No matter how much dragon resistance armor you had.

@RawChristianSuperman Hahah yeah, I remember good ol MH1 days/ Back when I was stuck with groups that got overly excited about killing something as simple as a Gypsie. But it also helps that they amped up the resource gathering in the other games too so it was more common to come across the items without doing a gathering mission between every hunt. And melee on Fatalis is actually possible (just really hard). My best weapon against him is a Gunlance.

@Infernalicon I killed Kirin with Double blades pretty easily. But you are right, sword and shield if he's pissing you off xD Don't even attempt greatsword on this game. It's only good on Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii since it's Patched so its haxorpromodeslashdiefast.
