One reason these guys sound so good is that the music hasn't been over-compressed. (99% of popular music has been crushed to death.) There is plenty of dynamic range left in the instruments, and the song swells and fades as it progresses. Their songs don't have quite the impact of Stairway to Heaven, but do sound vastly better than the competition.
