PR would certainly liven things up and might reduce some of the apathy in the electorate today; the feeling that the big parties are basically all the same so what's the point in voting. If the price is a couple of BNP and Fundamentalist MPs its a price worth paying.

Great video, we definitely need to change our voting system to proportional representation to really make sure that parliament represents people properly. With regards to 'safe seat's', I think open primaries for election candidates also need to happen. Would love to see more posts from yourself, maybe something about the recent MP's expenses scandal?

Thanks for the comment, sorry for the slow reply lifes been busy. I think prol rep' really has to be the cornerstone of the new system, it's the only way we are gonna get the democratic process back.

Open primarys for me should be left to the house of commons and remove the party affilation to the people who stand unless they actually live there, say a counciller who worked in the community.

I've been wanting to post more but kinda been like most people disillusioned with politics right now.
