Mark Crilley is the way to go. Dude if your smart you'll look at that skull once more cause last time I checked, ears werent above your eyes, being manga has no exeption. They are to be at your eye, Just a but lower. Sure your guidelines are pretty helpful but seriously you never make eyes that big -_- that's like artist suicide.

Actually, the ears start at the middle point of your eyes, and end at your mouth. Otherwise, your proportions aren't bad.

All together the drawing is very.....mechanical. The face is choppy and there is no fluency in the line work (which is a main key to master when drawing Manga.) Plus the ears are way of center with the face. just giving some advice! Keep working on it, I'm sure you'll improve! XD

1.the ear should never start from the top of the eyelash in manga. in order for it to look more natural, it should start around the middle or bottom of the eye, depending on what style of ear you want.

2. above all, make sure the chin is even when looking forward. the chin is basicly the base of the whole head, so it's very important to balance it out correctly.

3. you draw like my friends trying to copy my pics. for all the work you put into it, i find it funny that is ended up like THAT. >.>

A suggestion to hayesmanga is to show a little more of flexibility of how-to-draw, mainly manga, since manga is supposed to be free of "exact" proportions and stuff ... for beginners is good to worry about "half an eye here... half a head here", but later one it will not let you to really draw freely and make some real art!

mark crilley may be better, but this gives you pure information on how to setup a face. Basic guidelines that can be used for almost any drawing style. This one reminded me about the eyes, having 1 eye space between them, something i'd totally forget and it made my persons look like aliens, so, thanks for the info x)

Most people start with this circle thing, once you get used to it, some people are just able to just draw the eyes and build around it. Depends on your drawing style. Some people are naturally good at drawing, and some take a long time (I take forever to learn).

1. His/her chin appears to be off center.

2. His/her ears are too high. Rule of thumb: If you draw a straight line from the tip of one ear to the tip of the other, it should go just over the eyes.

Ya, you're not suppost to use marker when tracing and the sound is bad, but he did have a few good tips. I didn't know about that four eye rule, but I tried it and my eyes look better, especially chibis. I dunno about the ear thing, I think it varies on different characters and styles, but most times they start in the middle...I think...

I'm sorry but i'm going to point out mistakes you have made. 1. The ears start at the bottom of the eyes it depends on the maturity of the character (maturity is based on eyes most of the time) at least you have the eyes in the middle of the face like they're supposed to. 2. the face should look symmetryical (sp?) and have some roundness unless you are try to draw Arnold Shwarznegger (how the hell do you spell his last name?) thank you :)
