Very cute! The first one wants badly just to roll in it, and it's cute to watch the second kind of slowly figure it out. Some of the horses at our barn end up dumping their water bins in the summer doing this to them.
Beautiful horses, looks like your having fun! My Friesian loves to do that. Especally after a show or after he get's brushed. It's as if he's taunting me and saying. HAHA look at my nice black coat... all dirty.
Haha I ride a Friesian too! And he does that when he wants to move (often when we're just standing still) as if he's saying "C'mon! I wanna go over there and play!" Haha
he is amazing plz plz can you tell me a bit about the hackamor i am hoping to get my 2yr old in 1 in the spring i wont to do dressage in it what do you think is it any good and how esey is it to stop by the way the horse that roled has it got a problem with its back legs
What do yo want to know about a hackamore. I use one on my gelding and have used one for years on numerous horses.
They are a bitless bridle that works off the pressure points on the bridge of the nose and the use of the chin strap. The long shanks help tp keep them collected and under themselves all the time. I have only ever used it on mature broke horses. One word of advice is your 2 year old needs to know how to neck rain before you even consider using a hack
it that what you mean by neck rain by bringing there head lower i dont use the bit that much on her because shes so young and i dont want to force her into an out line shes got he rhole life ahead of her this first year is just fun and me and mer geting to understand each others movments iv backed horses/ponies but only dont the first few schoolings iv done my girl right from the start and i am so happy with how trusting she is in me i am doin parellie with her soon
You can not pull steer a horse with a hack it is stickly a guidline for the horse. The horse i ride with it I can also ride with a peice of baler twine. I barrel race and team rope in a hack and have no problem with a stop. My horse really gets down in the dirt though. My recomendation in to not use it on young horses and without proper knowledge of how one works. Not all horses can be used in one.
However I would not recommand anyone to try that out before they got deep knowlegs about NH. And I always use a helmet when I ride, especially when I ride young horses.
If you have good posture and correct balance you do not need a saddle to ride with, they are also usuing bareback pads in this video, some of which come with stirrups. It simply takes time to be able to keep your balance at a walk trot and canter. The more you ride the more you will get the feel of your horse the eaiser it will be for you to stay on.

Im not sure but I think she asks if neckraining is when the horse lowers its head down?
And neckraining is (of what I understood, I use my seat instead) that the horse moves for pressure to the sides.
In the kind of NH I am "into" we start to ride the horses in a hmm "headcollar"? The kind I have on my NH videos when I work form ground.

Thats correct.
I dont use stirrups since I think it makes me rely on the stirrups to mutch and I loose posture and balance.
SilverSammet 4 years ago
i just have a question...how come in ur videos ur not using a saddle.
sailordude84 4 years ago
not everyone uses saddles! ^_^
