I'm not sure about that, because it doesn't matter how many low frecuency speakers you use, almost all of the systems have only one low frecuency channel, so...
By the way, the interesting thing is: the surround encoders don't limit that extra channel to the low frecuencies range. It is a decoder issue. So, that extra channel should be a full range channel, if somebody could change the decoders behaviour.
i usually just slap my decoders and tell them to quit farting around and do their damn job. then i sit back and git...g...g....g.gg..gi...git high.
