Great stuff - I remember catching rudd like that from the wee pond in the park when I was a young'un. Can't beat it :). Makes me wish i'd started fly fishing earlier as I bet they'd have been great sport. Mind you, I'll be trying my 6ft brook rod out on the roach at the canal this summer, which could be a laugh :P.
i court a fish with redfins its not a perch or roach but looks like this rudd fish , but this fishis the same but has red eyes just wondering do the rudd have red eyes as well as redfins when they are babys? cos the one i got was a 1LB im just trying to find the right species of fish to put my mind at rest. oh and i court it in a small lake . Thanks

@TheCheese30 Sounds like it could have been a Rudd. If it was a 1lb Rudd that's not a bad one...

@lofty1963 I always plan on taking the fly rod but the car just gets so full of Carp gear there's hardly room for the driver...
