@lowpross11 This was a strange idea I had but lately I've also been buying allot of salt. I have 45 one pound containers of salt you'd get from the grocery store. Since I'm in the Midwest it'll be much harder to get salt in an economic collapse. There was never always an issue of too much salt in the American diet. In fact it used to be a problem of not having enough salt.

Within the next 10 days to two weeks the arguments start over raising the national debt ceiling. Once the debt ceiling is raised (which they have NO choice) the collapse starts. Since I'm in the Midwest it'll be much harder to get salt in an economic collapse. There was never always an issue of too much salt in the American diet. In fact it used to be a problem of not having enough salt.

Shopping at Wal-Mart recently I noticed certain shelves almost cleaned out. They were rice, beans, mac n' cheese and Ramen noodles.
Apples were about 85 cents each and milk was almost $5.00 a gal.

I remember when I was in the Air Force, the Soviet Union was America's principal adversary. The Cold War ended and peace prevailed. We're faced with a choice either we could do nothing and be at their mercy or engage into a constructive dialog to make our great society even better! I'm suggesting that this empire of ours should be more people oriented in terms of serving the 99%, which kept this empire alive to begin with. I know that the alternatives aren't pretty. I wouldn't want to live in a Wahhabi society in Saudi Arabia nor a Stalinist society like North Korea. Within the next 10 days to two weeks the arguments start over raising the national debt ceiling. Once the debt ceiling is raised (which they have NO choice) the collapse starts. Look for various countries to drop the U.S. dollar and if the oil stops being traded in dollars it's over at that time. Everyone wants to know when. The truth is NO one knows the date. If I had to guess I'd say as early as summer 2011 possibly as late as last quarter of 2012.

What if you have trouble with a drought? Thats where silver is used.... in manufacturing solar panels. Not to say you'll have a monster garage building them. But I also owe my life to one CIA operative, who quite literally saved my life, and I believe in the end, he might have very well sacrificed his career and his life from that day forward. Obviously, I can't say much here. I really didn't understand "CIA behavior" completely until I met a former KGB agent. He like me very much, and he opened my eyes to a history that remains unknown to th is day. I miss him a lot.

My service was honorable, and although my assignments, positions and roles were severely compromised at times by both sociopathic and psychopathic superiors and peers, I'm lucky to have survived my service, as well as survived this long in military life. I miss the flying most of all. I cannot say what I flew here, but I miss the joy of the stick and rudder.

It isn't my place to judge, and I won't, but I sail too, and have been for years. A graduate of the Annapolis Sailing School in several classes of craft. I'm also a combat fighter pilot, but at this time, do not fly.
There are a lot of things I used to do, and would love to do again, but not until the emergency is resolved. The die is cast. Ciao.
