The Left trashed her because they fear her. I don't think the book would be worth my time, but she did help McCain keep Obama from winning big. If it weren't for her, McCain would have been in trouble. Obama was actually running against her and they were similar in that they give good scripted speeches, but don't think well on their feet, i.e., they don't have much depth of knowledge.

Inept, like Obama. They were very similar, but Obama had the media running interference and cover for him.  She didn't. The Leftist media hated her.

You didn't catch my meaning. The reality of the situation, was that McCain was a bad candidate to run against Obama, so in essence it was Palin who was brought in to give the McCain team a chance. He had no chance without her. Besides, if I it seemed to me the media was focused on Palin and Obama during the race.
