In your youtube videos, both passages you quote (Matt 4 and Daniel 4), the Bible is presupposing some supernatural vision, so the idea that scientific language should be applied to those verses is just not consistent at all. Indeed, your same logic could be applied to the Quran in verses like 20:53, which talks of God who has, "...made the earth for you like a carpet spread out..." (see also 71:19). This is an example of unscientific language that is also present in the Quran.
Actually, the Bible reflects it most accurately in Isaiah 40:22 which says, "He is the one who sits on the earth's horizon (literally, "the circle of the earth"). Not bad for a statement written around the early seventh century, b.c.
I think the issue here is the interpretation of what was said.
It says Jesus was taken up to the highest point and shown all the kingdoms or all the glory of creation depending which gospel you read.
But there were no Kingdoms on the otherside of the world at that time. Fossils have shown this point to be true.
I find it strange that as the bible does not say the world is flat, and in Daniel we are talking about a dream - not an event, so it is a metaphor not stated as a fact.
