I ADORE this special. It's very dear to me. Such charming animation, the characters and their voices are absolutely fantastic, the story is great... I love everything about this Christmas movie. My uncles actually own a dog who they named after Olive because she looks so much like her. :3

Fun fact: Did you know that this speciel adapted from the song: Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer? In the part where it says: All of the other reindeer, used to lauph and call him names, it sounds like; "Olive" the other reindeer. And that, my friends, is where the funny title for this story came from. Cool, huh?

After all these years I just now made the connection between this movie and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Olive is a lot like Jack, in that they're both tired of their boring life and wanted to pursue other goals, but in the end it just wouldn't work out so they return where they belong.
