They were playing Boule ( A form of bowls which is very popular in France )  The fact that I did not film anybody actually throwing one probably does not make it obvious , ( especially as it is shown at half speed ) ,but it was very interesting to see them play nonetheless .

The first comment by peterbettles was the most accurate. The video is one of the best I have seen on YouTube. The music made it perfect and was an excellent choice. This was a really impressive work. I missed the boat trip at Paris, despite my son's prior recommendation, and now with your assistance, there is, will be, less chagrin for that loss, but if I do go back, will not miss it again.....
