I hate this song. I hate this show. I finished it in 6 days, and now it's all I can think of. But when I think of it, I get so nostalgic and sad. I hate them because I love them. Because I want a family like Tomoya's, a family including those related to him, bound to him, and the people he shared all his memories with. All I can hope is to learn from this, to be the best father, husband, and friend I can be.

Clannad is not JUST an anime! It gave me hope of actually being able to share my future with someone special! I never felt more emotionally attached to any characters in my life! When the characters laughed I laughed, when they cried I cried. This anime made me feel human and in a good way. This is more than just an anime. It's a beautiful work of art that shows the value of love, family, and friends.

Clannad is the only media of any type I have ever cried to. The music has the ability to evoke emotion whenever I listen to it, and it could have no higher recommendation from me. The music, the thoughts, the memories, they have provided me with an experience I have trouble seeing anything ever equal. It brings out the reality of life, the happy times and the sad ones, and I have to say if you have not watched it, do so, you will not regret it.
for those who watch clannad, it's a sad anime with some funny parts and happy parts here and there. for those who watch clannad as someone who went through the story with the characters, it's a way of live. if you emotionally put yourself into the anime, it will give you something, a way of seeing the world. it may be subtle, but you can totally feel it, in your heart. i sincerely believe that clannad has changed my life.

I can't agree with people saying this series brings sadness. For me, it's the opposite. When I finished watching the whole series, I became aware of something that this world could never give, or lack. I thought, there's a magic behind Clannad, that there's a touch of something heavenly or miraculous. Think of me as weird, I don't care. Clannad gave me true happiness, strength, and forgiveness, something that other series, either anime or drama, doesn't have. To its creators, thank you so much.

On a serious note, if you're looking for a continuation, it's titled "CLANNAD Another Story: On the Hill That Light Watches Over (光見守る坂道で)." It's a collection of light novels, each for every possible ending. The one with Ushio is titled Memories of a Town (町の思い), where Ushio asks Tomoya one bizarre request (if my daughter ever asked me something like that, I'll answer with a flat-out "NO")
I never thought an anime would affect me in such a way but After Story shook me out of a state of apathy and made me feel just... a little bit more complete. I was figuratively wrenched inside-out by the last third of the episodes, especially when the story arc of Tomoya and his father came to a close.
So sad the only thing that i am confused about is did nagisa and ushio really die in the very last episode i was so confused or was it all just a dream

@Littlemandude11 I cried so did the rest of my dorm we all watchd the series together. some boys watched to and it was fun to see them crying. This is the best anime in the world it strikes an emotionally cord that non of the others can. It is sad and happ. It is like the real world they reslly captured it in this show. It is perfect.

I can't agree with people saying this series brings sadness. For me, it's the opposite. When I finished watching the whole series, I became aware of something that this world could never give, or lack. I thought, there's a magic behind Clannad, that there's a touch of something heavenly or miraculous. Think of me as weird, I don't care. Clannad gave me true happiness, strength, and forgiveness, something that other series, either anime or drama, doesn't have. To its creators, thank you so much.

On a serious note, if you're looking for a continuation, it's titled "CLANNAD Another Story: On the Hill That Light Watches Over (光見守る坂道で)." It's a collection of light novels, each for every possible ending. The one with Ushio is titled Memories of a Town (町の思い), where Ushio asks Tomoya one bizarre request (if my daughter ever asked me something like that, I'll answer with a flat-out "NO")

I never thought an anime would affect me in such a way but After Story shook me out of a state of apathy and made me feel just... a little bit more complete. I was figuratively wrenched inside-out by the last third of the episodes, especially when the story arc of Tomoya and his father came to a close.

@BlackroseClannad1127 The Clannad series was filled with alternate potential realities, as you saw from the paths where Kyo and Tomoyo end up with Tomoya. In the main path of Clannad, Nagisa and Ushio live happily ever after with Tomoya and none of them die...
