Verizon is admittedly a good network. However their business practices and the way they deal with customers is questionable to say the least. The reality is that unless you get into a situation with them regarding services or money you will never see that side of them and have no problems. Just be aware that they are sharks when it comes to collecting their money and will refuse any disputes you may ever have with them and hunt you down ruthlessly for what they believe is owed to them.

so this is what happend. he tried to add unlimited txt msging, or expand his current limit. and accidently switched on roaming data. roaming data charges you by the kilobyte/megabyte/w/e. so he went on using his iphone and then came to find out that hes being charges an arm, leg and and a testicle for commiting an honest mistake.

ATT HAS TEH WORST COSTUMER SERVICE! I had to pay $1500 and i only used the phone for one month! And they even said i was over on my minutes when it was impossible because 2 whole weeks of the month i had it i was in another country where there is no AT&T reception! Just wanted to say that he probably got it all taken off. there was a problem w/ att's billing system around this time that kicked all the iphone data plans off iphone accounts. everyone was charged .01/kb. It affected about 500,000 att customers and took a month +/- to fix the issue (which was the txt he recieved) I remember answering my agents questions and seeing an urgant update about this when it happened. (i'm an att call center manager/trainer/subject matter expert SME, thats my source)

the ipod touch and iphone are two different devices. the ipod touch only gets internet in hotspots and the only way to use it as a phone is if you download skype, which then you would need a microphone for the ipod touch.
