I got a PSI Caramel from an Insane Cultist in my latest play through when i didn't know it was a 1/128 item.

You can imagine my reaction when I found out. 0_0

I just started a 1/128 playthrough too! My plan is to get every drops from the temporary enemies, then go back to the permanent ones once I can 1-shot them.

Right now I'm in Threed, and I've gotten the Pizza from the Skate Punk and 2 (!) PSI Caramels from the Insane Cultists.

Wow, I have collected more 1/128 items than I thought... but of the special ones, I have only managed to get the Sword of Kings and the Goddess Ribbon (I actually grabbed it on my Talkthrough I put on Youtube by total accident while doing a quick grind session off-camera).

I think the only 1/128 weapon I particularly tried (and managed) to get was the broken antenna, though I managed to get the Casey Bat which was lucky.

This is excellent work! MiraYamato99 sent me to watch this and WOW. To do that on the console must have been a hell of a trip. But I guess the inevitable leveling made things a little smoother. Not that that makes the sheer magnitude of the task any less daunting! Even with save states I never could get the Gutsy Bat. Well played, man, well played.

Started in late May, ended in late January, so 8 months.

did you use a cheat, you had to be phenomenally patient to get all the 1/125s

I'm curious as to how you went about recording this... I'm sure some of those items took a very long time to get, and you probably were recording the entire time for most of them. I'm guessing you either have a large hard drive or just used a VHS (though I'm guessing the former because of the quality).

Also, did you use a turbo controller? Those are some fast battle selections.

I recorded them directly to my hard drive. I would do my thing for 5-10 minutes at a time and then just restart the buffer video. I had to leave it uncompressed temporarily because VDub messes things up when you try to use compression on the fly without a quad-core processor, and then once the videos were done I compressed each one individually, so they don't take up much space.

No turbo controller either. I was actually mashing both A and L, which can make things go way quicker.

Aha. I use a video capture device called Pinnacle Studio...

The software packaged with it has a lot of flaws that really bug me (like not being able to stretch the preview window bigger than a few square inches), and if I record for half an hour (which is about all the room I have on my hard drive, time for a new one...) I have to wait nearly as long once I stop capturing for the video to process before recording again, or the new capture will drop frames.

man, i STILL can't believe that I got the Gutsy bat on my FIRST Bionic Kraken fight last time I finished the game. To get all of the 1/128 items though -- you have the patience of a saint, Jeffman. :)
