What if a maliware program broken all the links in your registry editor to your programs so you can't run any programs on your computer?
I managed to remove a trojan with out relying on anything but my sense of where maliware is commonly located at. the trojan made copies of its self and i deleted them all in many locations.

hey, i am pretty sure i have an trojan.win32 agent. I've searched my comp with avast but i cant find any, but i see a file name in avast search named trojan.win32.agent. Any tip on how to remove it. (i didnt get a notice off the virus)
@bboybeaner Start up in safe mode and then try to end it, Avast anti virus is free and has a scanner option that may help get rid of that because it scans during start up (boot time scan)

U guys if the virus doesn't let u open any files just restart your computer and press f8 rapidly until some choices pop up, u must press safe mode or safe mode with networking, than u can open the files u need :)
You're awesome. But my antivirus told me the name of the virus, but it was before I knew about this video. So I redid the scan again and it doesn't track it anymore. @jaxx4nc ok, i normally wouldn't want to advertise but I have a sollution. I've actually done this 2ce before. Ok, so go to the geeksquad website and make an account then chat with an agent. You must give them to use your computer manually from theirs, so they can have access to your computer and everything on it from theirs. Sonds scary, But if they find a virus you can pay them from $20 - $170 depending on how bad it is to fix it. Don't believe me? look up videos of them I hate hackers too :(

@freshsdeath737, i got the same nasty problem 1 week ago,,all security programs were turned off don't matter what I tried and do didn't work..but this did..turn off manually your pc wait 2 min and restart press F2 when booting then press F8..choose start on safe mode and then will give you 3 choices ,,choose repair windows and then it will ask you y u want to repair it as when windows worked previously correct,, press yes and wait a few minutes your pc will be good as before the virus infection
Some expert advice...thanks BetaFlux. I did a system restore and managed to get rid of Security Tool. But my system restore date was before my casino programme...so my casino programme is gone, but not the files and folders...which are 520mb. Do I delete the folders and reload the casino programme or reload over these files and folders still on my computer.

@fresh2death737 The fastest way and cleanest sure fire way is to save your data to another source and delete the hard drive partitions, let windows reinstall them. or run a recovery disk if one came with your pc.

@matispure2 Start pout using the msconfig utility, I made a video called (msconfig made easy)start in safe mode to use it, then start in safe mode again and see if you can run your anti virus, avast is the best.

@aaronbev12345 Most likely you do not have a virus, it sounds like you have a bad connection with your monitor (LCD screen) or your backlight may be going bad on you, there is a small control board inside your lcd that makes the lcd light up. they cost about $15.00 on ebay, they are not to bad to replace yourself, but a shop will charge you about $150.00. :(

@ConsistentxGaming Good luck getting rid of this one, it is nasty, you will have to start up in safe mode to have any chance of deleting the files that are infected. The best thing I could offer you is to install AVAST home free version and run the boot time scan.

if this is right then it is a normal windows process. I would recommend installing AVAST home free edition anti virus, it has a boot time scan feature that will by pass most virus files and safely delete them.
wow i justed checked my space left on my hdd a few minutes ago and I had like 1gb left, then when I went to check it again I now had 140gbs left. I think something deleted my files but yet all of my big files are still there.

I have a problem with a file named lex_2010928, i usually find it in my folders somewhere on my harddrive, and when if im fast enough i cant click it and enter delete just before it disappears but then it sais that its no longer there and also the file is a CFG file and its 0bytes big and the numbers after lex_ change all the time. I have tried all your ways but i cant find it, ive googled it and all ive found is other people with the same problem and no answer
@KaielBraflaski Sounds like you are deleting a virus file that has been created by mother virus file, but not sure what that would be, try starting up in safe mode and turning off system restore, then run a good scan.
Ok im in safe mode and i am doing plenty of scans but they arent finding it, and im browsing many folders and the file doesnt show up..could it be that it deactivates itself for safe mode or something? Also i found on google someone saying that its something that downloads other viruses

I have this problem with my Device manager, ok my USB hid keyboard only works in safe mode, i tried everything for update till uninstall. but it still works in safe mode. wat do i u to restore its state in, cuz in device manage its marked yellow (!).the code is 38, wat can do? would Disk clean up restore everything back??
@gtrinityjr While running is regular start up mode, unplug your usb sending unit for the keyboard and then plug it back in and see if windows will set it back up for you.

@guitarcapo Thats where your anti virus program comes in, it will give you the name of the virus, this is fro those files that will not go away even when your anit virus tries to remove them.

Right click on the task bar and go into (task manager) you can also hit (CTRL+ALT+DEL) look under process and look for stub.exe, right click to end process then goto this location.

@LoveToSpootch Anytime you have a question about a file just google it like this one (eRecoveryService) it comes up as a part of the acer programming, you dont need it to run but it is not a virus. you can turn all of your acer programs off and your pc will run a lot faster. acer puts a ton of applications into its system. (Skytel.exe) is part of your sound driver

hi i have a quick question.the virus i had was smart dis fragment but the file name was like 683208 something like that well i followed all the steps up until the command prompt window.... i found the file name and deleted it and deleted all the shortcuts but I'm not sure how to know if it's fully gone.... I've been running c cleaner to remove anything on my computer any advise.... i have windows vista if that makes any difference lol

well i watched another video and it told me to do everything u did so i strted deleting things, and now i have one more thts left winlogon thts wht the virus thing is called so when i go to task manager it says i cant delete it cuz of the priority, its set at high or something like tht so thn i tried changing the priority and it saystask manager cant do tht, soooo im lost + when i do a virus scan with avg tht i got from cnet it says found in iexplorer so i deleted tht now i cant go in interene

How about if it says its located in, Windows/ System32? Because when I open it it says Program Files and stuff and it has Windows/System32 and also has one thats says %ProgramFiles%Synaptics and other information but which one would i need to delete?

@freshsdeath737, i got the same nasty problem 1 week ago,,all security programs were turned off don't matter what I tried and do didn't work..but this did..turn off manually your pc wait 2 min and restart press F2 when booting then press F8..choose start on safe mode and then will give you 3 choices ,,choose repair windows and then it will ask you y u want to repair it as when windows worked previously correct,, press yes and wait a few minutes your pc will be good as before the virus infection

Some expert advice...thanks BetaFlux. I did a system restore and managed to get rid of Security Tool. But my system restore date was before my casino programme...so my casino programme is gone, but not the files and folders...which are 520mb. Do I delete the folders and reload the casino programme or reload over these files and folders still on my computer.

hi betaflux ive followed all your systems to rid my self of a virus and i still cant get rid ! its a pop up witch then multiplys when it whats i can go for a day with no problems then it appears again ! ive striped all my personal data off computer and all temp&user files ..any chance you can shed more light on deleting harddrive partitions ..sound scary to me !! dont have a recovery disc ! ps i descoverd things about my computer i didnt think were there great vids , need more help though thanks

@fresh2death737 The fastest way and cleanest sure fire way is to save your data to another source and delete the hard drive partitions, let windows reinstall them. or run a recovery disk if one came with your pc.

Hey BetaFlux, very nice videos by the way (; okay to the point now. I have this wierd virus called brontok or something. I have tryed absolutely everything. It changes my desktop picture to a wierd one and makes all dirty stuff. when i open my task manager i see wierd letters under username like chinese or something. I can't install any antiviruses in safe mode like kaspersky/Norton. I had them on before but i can't also open them. Any help?

@matispure2 Start pout using the msconfig utility, I made a video called (msconfig made easy)start in safe mode to use it, then start in safe mode again and see if you can run your anti virus, avast is the best.

@aaronbev12345 Most likely you do not have a virus, it sounds like you have a bad connection with your monitor (LCD screen) or your backlight may be going bad on you, there is a small control board inside your lcd that makes the lcd light up. they cost about $15.00 on ebay, they are not to bad to replace yourself, but a shop will charge you about $150.00. :(

@zak56789 I made a video fro lost admin rights, it has downloads int eh description that will give you a working copy of task manager, if your task manager is grey then you have a virus that has disabled it.

@ConsistentxGaming Good luck getting rid of this one, it is nasty, you will have to start up in safe mode to have any chance of deleting the files that are infected. The best thing I could offer you is to install AVAST home free version and run the boot time scan.

if this is right then it is a normal windows process. I would recommend installing AVAST home free edition anti virus, it has a boot time scan feature that will by pass most virus files and safely delete them.

wow i justed checked my space left on my hdd a few minutes ago and I had like 1gb left, then when I went to check it again I now had 140gbs left. I think something deleted my files but yet all of my big files are still there.

I have a problem with a file named lex_2010928, i usually find it in my folders somewhere on my harddrive, and when if im fast enough i cant click it and enter delete just before it disappears but then it sais that its no longer there and also the file is a CFG file and its 0bytes big and the numbers after lex_ change all the time. I have tried all your ways but i cant find it, ive googled it and all ive found is other people with the same problem and no answer

@KaielBraflaski Sounds like you are deleting a virus file that has been created by mother virus file, but not sure what that would be, try starting up in safe mode and turning off system restore, then run a good scan.

Ok im in safe mode and i am doing plenty of scans but they arent finding it, and im browsing many folders and the file doesnt show up..could it be that it deactivates itself for safe mode or something? Also i found on google someone saying that its something that downloads other viruses

I have this problem with my Device manager, ok my USB hid keyboard only works in safe mode, i tried everything for update till uninstall. but it still works in safe mode. wat do i u to restore its state in, cuz in device manage its marked yellow (!).the code is 38, wat can do? would Disk clean up restore everything back??

@gtrinityjr While running is regular start up mode, unplug your usb sending unit for the keyboard and then plug it back in and see if windows will set it back up for you.

@Slay3rz91 Yes, that is a virus file, it is not a windows system file, it is located here in the folder C:\Windows\System32. The file size on Windows XP is 36,864 bytes.

@123dab Start up in safe mode;
Right click on the task bar and go into (task manager) you can also hit (CTRL+ALT+DEL) look under process and look for stub.exe, right click to end process then goto this location.
%windows%system32%stub.exe
delete the file.

i have a file called "eRecoveryService", its a REG_SZ file and it dosent have any "data" to the right of the screen. this is a virus, right? and i also have one called "Skytel", its also REG_SZ and its data is "Skytel.exe"

@LoveToSpootch Anytime you have a question about a file just google it like this one (eRecoveryService) it comes up as a part of the acer programming, you dont need it to run but it is not a virus. you can turn all of your acer programs off and your pc will run a lot faster. acer puts a ton of applications into its system. (Skytel.exe) is part of your sound driver
