  • Hi David! Thanks for uploading. These videos help me a lot. As a beginner I was not brave enough to go beyond major chords. You gave me courage to explore the dominant sevenths, now! Love ur vids! Rockongoodpeople!!!!!

  • Ive spent my time laid-off going back to school& learnig guitar 1million thanx to you david and everybody at next level guitar

  • ï still don't get how to make a 7th chord on guitar... on piano it's simple just add the 7th note in the scale but i just can't get it right on guitar idk why :( pls help anyone?

  • You remind me Bruce Willis .

  • Man! You rule! Thank you very very much. But I have a question! Why isn't there a F7 chord?

  • @RowellBen because the lesson is over open chords, f7 is a barre chord

  • hilarious. i have been playing guitar for 15 years and I never noticed the simplicity of moving from Am to D7. Just goes to show...its never too late to learn something...even from something that is geared towards a beginner.

  • tzalian@gmiulkal.com

    @onedeadgod

  • thx, this helped a lot

  • i think eventually you are gonna be the reason some kid out there eventually makes it and changes music for the better.

  • hey dave, im an experienced guitarist but have never learned the entire terminology behind the guitar. one thing im struggling with is the whole 3rds, 5ths and 7ths topic. i simply dont understand what you mean by them? could ya give me a hand?

  • Hey dave! I see that many people are asking you what type of guitar that is, but what im wondering is around how much does that brand of taylor cost? I really like the sound of it.

  • @StarrySky47 Taylor's are very pricey, especially one as nice as he has. I think the cheapest taylor runs at about $400-$500 and his particular model is probably upwards of $1,500. That however is just an estimate based on prior Taylor pricings I have seen.

  • loved it...thankyou soo much!!!

  • dude u rock

    thanks alot

    we appreciate it /

  • TUSSI GREAT HO.. U R Great *****

  • @TheBajajavenger haha punjab da puth

  • you rule dude

  • What guitar is he using? It sounds great

  • Hi Santana811, the site where I started learning guitar is MYGUITARMASTER (dot) INFO , very helpful indeed, watch some of the videos on there and you will be on your way mate, without a doubt.

  • What the heck do you play over a major 7th chord. Major scales won't work because the b7 will not work with the 7. Pentatonic major doesn't have a b7 either :S What to do?

  • thankyou sir.

I like listening to you talk about the way notes work together.

Just what I needed to hear.

  • thanks.... he is great now i can play guitar because of him

  • Hey guys, its Emma and Marissa, we both love to sing and play guitar, we sing and play covers of mostly popular songs, we take requests so message comment or subscribe us to let us know your song requests

  • Haha smart ass.

I wonder if anybody else will get the reference, though.

  • You are awesome, thank you for opening my path to learning advance chords. !

  • Thanks Man!

  • love his lessons but he is strumming way to hard

  • im a beginner, to play a chord, you hold down a chord on the neck but strum all the strings?

  • ussually you will but some chords like the D you only strum the bottom 4 strings

  • High praise for this man!

  • great..thanks this really helped a lot on learning 7th chords.

  • it was the one, where they asked for songs using the chord progression

    G-D-C

  • i first started playin on an acoustic when i was 10 years old. and now im 15 and i started playing guitar again and now im playing electric. it's way easier than playing acoustic.

  • Hi - n this lesson I use a Taylor GS5 with cedar top

    rock on!

    DT

  • @rockongoodpeople badass

  • Taylor GS5

  • Great lesson as usually!!I like in particular blues lesson!!Thanks for uploading this cool stuff!!

  • HA FUNNY

  • David,

A good example would be the G9 Gb9 F9 C7 Ebmaj9 Bb7 D7#9 chords (Similar to RHCP - If You have To Ask). It can be very tricky transitioning from each chord, lesson to help :(

  • That progression fucking rocks. If you can't quite manage it at first, just play the first 3 notes of each chord (thus you are substituing every 9 chord for a 3-note version of a 7 chord. For instance, for G9 you'd play] x 10 9 10 x x ], for Ebmaj9 [ x 6 5 6 x x ], and so on. The C7 and Bb7 you must do the hard way though :P

  • hey dave, i love the videos but i was wondering what guitar that is. I can't really see the headstock.

  • i think i've seen that guitar in other videos.. i think it's a really nice taylor..

  • Hi - n this lesson I use a Taylor GS5 with cedar top

    rock on!

    DT

  • Hello David,

You should do a lesson on of diminished and 9th chords seeing how the fingering for most of the chords and transitions can be difficult, maybe some advice on how to transition between different diminished and 9th chords?

  • You mean, fifth?

    Much love,

  • 7th and amazing lesson David keep em comin

  • Really great lesson for beginner players,

    Thanks

  • Awesome lesson David!!!!! Good job!!

  • 2nd

  • first!
