Oh My god, When i've been listening to the music in my w'amp it's been good. But When I've wathced ur video... Pictures are Very nice, I like em, but music... it makes them adorable.. I'm a guy, and God, It almost made me cry.
Absolutely beautiful, thank you for putting this up. You're a very talented pianist and have a great feeling for the beauty of the music. I'll be playing this at least as often as the "original" Cowboy Bebop piano medley by Yoko...:) Thanks again.
(Aoi hitomi-Wo qui non coin), played by year, and the rest of songs(Piano black-ELM-Green bird) are from Yoko's Tokyo live. I slightly rearranged them.
a note, though, Green Bird was a tad slow, kinda' dragged. not bad, tho. & maybe little less pedal through Piano Black? maybe slow down just a tiny bit through ELM, you're losing the definition.
nothing personal, really. ive played just about all of it also, with LOTS of people making me play it better! i just don't have a video camera, so i can't post :(
No, it's my SERIOUS hobby. I LOVE to play piano, but never considered to be professional musician. My major is biology.
I've been played piano about 15 years. But compare with the years of my experiences, I think I'm not talented.
Nowadays, I had realized the limitation of my self-study of music (especially for jazz style-I love it!), and I thought about personal piano lesson. But it was pretty expensive..maybe I can afford it someday, after I earned enough money^^
i'm very glad to find someone else who loves to play as much as i do :)
as for personal lessons, i wish you the best of luck. i have had about five teachers, and each time i switched, it was because i had come to the limit of that teacher. it became a pain, and now i am on my own.
Jazz is the greatest form of music that exists, at least in my opinion :) i love jazz with all my heart :) perhaps you should try Piano Bar II, another one by Kanno Yoko. i'll give you the link to the sheets.
as for Piano Black, maybe it would help you to take the pedal off for the slide, it sounds a lot like a glissando. other than some tiny details, your renditions are excellent. i still can't get over the fact that you're self-taught :)
i'm very glad to meet you too, Hann. it is good to talk with another piano player :) i hope your music develops further also.
best of luck to you, and happy American New Year :)

Oops I've made a critical mistake on my video.
Aoi hitomi is not the opening of Escaflowne..
Opening music of Escaflowne is 'Yakusoku wa
iranai.' Oh how foolish I am...

Wow, you said exactly what I thought about my own perfomance. Especially about 'Piano black.'Yes,that's true. I need more practice...
Anyway, are you major in music? When I read your comment, I thought it's..kinda, somewhat professional? something like that?
Sorry for my poor english. Have a good day! :)
HannJY 4 years ago
hey, your English is excellent, don't worry :)
no, not professional yet, just been playing awhile ^_^ are you wanting to be professional?
btw, just noticed, the run in Piano Black isn't a glissando, it's specific notes... cool though
you have a good day too, k? :)

Anyway, you noticed that? Yes, It's not glissando. That notes are B F#GAB F#GAB. But those notes are too fast to clearly understand :)
Uh, and you said before↑ you played all of it, is this mean you played Wo Qui Non Coin also? I want printable score of that.
Because I played it by ear, and some of my friends want score of Wo Qui Non Coin, but I can't trancribe it... If you have one, could you gimme that?
I'm so glad to meet you. I hope your musical development!
