  • Let the vinyl cutters roll again!!

  • How do you switch samples on the Emulator without touching the controls? Do you use a footswitch like on the EII?

  • @TheLazerTank Actually, I'm not switching samples on the Emulator. I set up a split with the orchestra hit on the left side of the keyboard, and the Synclavier fm bell on the right side of the keyboard.

  • From witch synths comes the melodie you dont play live ?

  • @Musikstudio24 which melody are you referring to? Which sound?

  • nice .. Emulator shots take me back.

  • Do you still have your Emulator II?

  • @900GTi actually... I have two EIIs :-D But I will sell one eventually.

  • The Memorymoog also sounds like a Synclavier with it's Vox Humana sound

  • @900GTi you mean Polymoog?

  • @SynthManiaDotCom I was referring to your Memorymoog. It sound like a Synclavier. :)

  • Ta musique est génial...+ 15 points,Joyeux noel 2011

  • @Accordeons6000 merci, merci :)

  • Bravo

  • I absolutely love the sound @1:30.

  • @roy89321 the Juno string pad or the melody line? The melody line is a Synclavier sampler played on the Emulator, which gives it even more character, and I added a bit of subtle vibrato on the Emulator. The Synclavier was at heart an FM machine and this is just a phenomenal sound, but you can get similar results with a Yamaha FM machine, perhaps stacking the sounds multitimbrally.

  • @SynthManiaDotCom The melody line. I think it's better when accompanied by the Juno string pad, bright and with a little bit of warm mid. Actually I found myself always lost in the large amount of sounds of a synthesizer, and don't know how to match them.

  • The main section immediately made me think of Domino Dancing, although its nothing specific. The orch hits are certainly the main thing, but also the style of drum pattern. I'm in little doubt that PSB lifted heavily from some Italian dance music at times!

  • @sm1le68 hehehe, I think you're right... I remember very well the PSB naming a song "Paninaro", which was a "movement" in Italy especially from the Milan area - kids wearing the fashion of the time and going to fast food places. I was never a Paninaro but Italy was doing well on many fronts including music, in the '80s... a far cry from today's Italy (sigh)

  • I think you got all the cliche sounds of the 80's in one song. Great job!!!

  • @BlackMan614 hehehe, thank you ;-) Actually, there are many other '80s cliche' sounds that are missing in this track... the Fairlight vox, TR-808, DX7 e. piano and e. bass, Oberheim brass, and I could go on and on ;-) See my "Famous Sounds" page for more

  • It would be great if you could do a demo video with just the Emulator, as there are no demo videos of it on YouTube.

  • @UnchainTheNight1 I have the choir patch in isolation in another video, but I can upload more E1 videos if you'd like. Which patches would you like to see? I don't have the complete library yet, though

  • @SynthManiaDotCom Just some quick clips of the patches you like. That'd be great.

  • @UnchainTheNight1 OK, you got it... Definitely I'll post the "Blade Runner" patch (reggae loop and mexican radio trumpet)

  • Can't help thinking of a certain Pet Shop Track,

  • @sm1le68 Really? Which one? I wasn't really going after a Synth Pop / Pet Shop Boys feel - this is more Italo. Is it perhaps for the use of the orchestra hit? Many tracks from that era use the orchestra hit.

  • cool sounds on the moog like all of it really very haunting

  • @soundmanhaven1 that Memorymoog patch is very haunting and hypnotic, isn't it?

  • perfect!

  • @AlexMylnikov Thanks!

  • Very nice!!!

  • @control75 thank you very much

  • You REALLY should start of thinking to sell your music on iTunes.

  • @NoMac90 Thank you very much - Yes, I'm thinking of starting to sell some on iTunes

  • very very good

  • @TTK61 thank you much

  • awesome....

  • @danbel1967 thank you very much
