  • and then look again that the buggatti top speed at the end 147 and the car does 254 in other video german tecs cleary stated the veryron only needed 200 hp to do 140 and yet the gtr with 1200 hp only beat the veyron by 30 mph in a quarter mile and look how much lighter the gtr is over the veyron there for put them in a 3 mile straight race and watch that extra 800 hp on veryon do work on the gtr you only see what you want to see but this video cleary match with other that statisticaly veyon wins

  • @bonerdust You missed the point entirely. Were talking about a 2 million dollar car that run's 10's compared to a V6 tuned Mustang that can run 11's for 22 thousand dollars. For 2 million dollars alot more is expected than that especially when a DRAG CAR called a Shelby GT500 2013 goes over 200 miles per hour cuts 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and is stock running high 10's which is unmodded for 50 thousand dollars. This just makes a Veyron an over hyped over priced car period. Get a clue.

Not many cars out there out of the factory do 250 mph... I only know of 2 but I'm no expert... I do agree with you but for a car coming from the factory regardless of price veyron is badass...

  • @bonerdust Your stuck race and times not the point. It's a badass car but not worth 2 million dollars at all.  There are other cars that can do it for a hell of alot less. I'd take it over any car around. My solid point that is hardly arguable is that the performance per dollar is not worth the 2 million dollar tag it carries. And it's not the fastest super can in the world either. And a second is not 3 full bus lengths.

  • @Homiesdie4yo it's a gentleman's agreement in Japan, not a law that "restricts" power outputs. The only law in Japan regarding performance, is that a car be speed limited from the factory to 180km/h - that is removed by almost every single tuning shop in the first 30 seconds of the car being in for a service, let alone any actual engine work.

    When the fastest UGR Gallardo with 1300+hp could only do 11.5 on Speed's Pass Time, that's pathetic for a car that's got $150,000 worth of tuning done to it on top of the 6 digit purchase price.

    You could build an 8 second dedicated drag car and still be street legal for less than half of the tuning cost alone.

    A UR built Viper was the first car to break 7s with the stock 6-speed transmission, they've build countless 8 sec Vipers since then.

    Building a car for where you'll be racing the majority of the time is not stupid, it's quite smart. Building a drag car isn't stupid yet a car more for roll-ons is?

  • @iPROFITDON Speed channel, show called Pass Time, they had an entire episode of nothing but UGR cars, Vipers and Gallardos, and the fastest one was 11.5 and that was the 1300+hp Gallardo owned by the co-owner of UGR.

    Not one of them could get the power to the ground off the light, they ALL spun the tires.

    A 170hp dune buggy ran a 10.5 the same day on the same track and it was the driver's first EVER quarter mile pass.

    $150K in tuning is a waste of money.

  • @NinjaRider777R I saw that episode, that track was like ice to cars with 1000+hp and street tires. A 170hp buggy will not have the same traction issues.

    I can show you a couple videos of them running in the 9s and Vipers in the 8s and 7s from that shop but I doubt it'd do any good to bother with it given your mind is set on cars that run a 60-130 faster than most bikes as a waste of money lol.

    Like I said, other cars that ran the same day on the same track didn't have a problem, some cars running into the mid 8's with less horsepower than the UGR cars.

    You can get into the 8s with less hp than R package Gallardos, but you will not do it on street tires. Those cars are built for the street and mile, not the strip.

    On the street those UGR Gallardos are next to unbeatable when driven like they should be.

  • It wouldnt bother me if the Nissan had 5000 BHP and the Veyron had 200. I would have the Bugatti every time. Why? Because when you see a Nissan Skyline you think "wow thats nice". When you see a Veyron, you get a semi. And look at the quality of the fixings and fittings in the Veyron. The Nisan is nice but the Veyron is in another league. And, of course, the Nissan had to be tuned to beat a standard Veyron.

  • @tinleo333 Stock block S2000 just went 9.5@147 can be bought for 12K and MAYBE 20K in upgrades and replicate these stock block numbers....at street weight...the 2JZ S2000 runs high 8's with a system, full weight and a body kit and is less money than godzilla ...lets not penis ride too hard K? Its a great car but not the end all of the automotive world...its 60-90K plus another 40-60K in upgrades...not exactly a "budget" build

  • GTR has more than double its standard hp on a race track with what looks like slick tyres. Bugatti is standard on what looks like a runway with not mutch traction. Why not use a standard GTR on a runway or use a bugatti with more hp on a race track with slicks either way the bugatti wins every time. Keep it fair.

Race two factory standard cars and the bugatti wins. Sure the GTR won the race but it only needed an extra 850hp, its like comparing apples and oranges.

    That's the whole point of a Sleeper, it still looks stock from the outside.

    And the GTR when modded can run just above 200mph, which means that top speed can easily be reached at most racetracks that host track days all over the world.

GTR came from the same family tree as a heap of small cheap cars and 4x4s and most people could find the money for a GTR ( re mortage house or a car loan) but most people will never even get the chance to touch a bugatti to me this makes it a mutch more special car.

    There's 565cid V8's with only 2 turbos running 32lbs of boost making 2300 horsepower, running quarters in the high 6's at over 220mph in a 1966 Nova body that's as aerodynamic as a shoebox....

    You could give the Veyron 8 turbos and it wouldn't mean anything at all if they were all only running 18lbs of boost total....

  • @tinleo333 The LFA is a transaxle like the corvettes. You can wikiquote random facts all you want but you have yet to dispute a single point I've made. The Corvette is one of the best handling cars in its class despite a bad interior. The GTR is a better all around package. End of conversation.

In 2011 The GTR received 530hp stock which made a bit faster than the LFA . In 2012 The GTR is now on sale with 545hp (stock ) . LFA has no chance against the new GTR with 545hp

LFA (like the Veyron) was build to research technology (at a loss for every car sold). Why would it not be faster given how much more exotic materials and engineering that went into it? (0-60 is a different story, but there it's 911 Turbo S which is the King ... after Veyron).

  • @tinleo333 First of all, we are still comparing a lower model vette to the GTR. Second of all, like I stated earlier, the weight on the track is heavier than street because of the cage and extra equipment. Third, stating the car's factory spec equip is negligable because that's like saying, "what if the z07 had AWD and twin turbo?" I love the GTR's and given the choice, I'd choose one over a vette but saying American cars are bad around corners is just an inaccurate and outdated stereotype.

The z06 technically wasn't on slicks as those tires are DOT approved.   • @iHouz That used to be the case but the c6 z06 is 2 seconds faster around the nurburgring than the GTR and the zr1 is even faster yet. Cadillac also produces the fastest production sedan with the cts-v and its magnetic suspension. I do love the GTR and ams though!

It is not too engines....IT IS EQUIVALENT to 2 V8s. There is a difference.
