  • This and Two Hearts Beat as One were the best U2 songs. Downhill ever since. Where did all that energy go?

  • Kill Bono !!!

  • Ferocious.

  • DOUBLE U-O-DOUBLE U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't think there was anything mind-blowing and U2-related I hadn't seen. I was just proved that wrong!!

  • Comment removed

  • Potenza, energia e dinamismo al massimo grado, performance impareggiabile

  • The Edge's voice sounds like an echo of Bono's.

  • first time seeing dortmund gig. definitely one of U2's finer performances.

  • i would love too see more live songs from 1984-85 U.F.tour . great U2 period that.

  • mammmmmmmmmmmmmma miaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Pure U2!!!

  • 777

  • really good show is that one..u2 were good...

  • i had a mullet in 85. no pictures of it survive today. at least i hope not

  • i adore this song!!!! pure energy!

  • I love this song! Its one of my fav's

  • back in those days you never had a chance to escape these songs. never has there been more energy between band and crowd. u2 made everyone in that crowd go nuts! incredible first album.

  • I WAS THERE!!!!!! ... bono was ALL waisted here ( those days he still was very much into dope ..)..... tried to climb the steepwall to get to the audience ....slipped.....and slit down the track ...LIKE A FLY ON THE WALL ......!!

    WHAT a band !!!!!

  • WOW! Crowd is really really into it! Amazing energy and emotion...love the song and wish they played it a little more often live!

  • SO? Still the biggest and best band in the World! ..." I got two new suits, Miami" lol

  • U2 wrote "Miami"

  • thanks for the news flash....NOT

  • U2 are just phenomenal. They gave people a lot of great memories too.Cheers for this.

  • Such narrow mindedness.

If people took the effort to realise Bono uses his "celebrity" to try and help those who cant help/speak for themselves.

You dont see many other bands standing up to be counted like this.

Bono himself admits "I'm just a rock n roll star and realy the professionals and the politicians should be doing the shouting but they dont. The world is so crazy it takes a rock star to make the politicians listen ? "

  • I agree with Kelly, Bono now see's himself as some kind of politician, which he ISN'T! Music was what they started out doing and they should have kept at. They could never match they're 80's period which was they're best. It ALL went downhill after 1992!!!!!!!! end of U2

  • hmmm, why can't he be a musician and a politician (i mean, try to change the world) ? if he was throwing fancy cars inside huge pools and getting high, going to rehabs and stuff people would say he is the best but he is doing something good instead, and people kinda hate him for that.

  • @marianahewson1995 hey mariana ... you Paul`s sister ??? hi hi ...

  • Hey kellykinsel, IK LACH ME DOOD! WAT BEN JE LEKKER BEZIG! HA HA 3 DOLLAR YOU WANT? Dip shit!

  • Hey welshcoast, Fu#K OFF you ignorant

U2 sheep. I bet if Bono asked you for a blowjob you would be on your knees before he could unzipp his pants and showed you his 2 inches.. Right gay boy?

  • yeah, ur problems are bigger than i thought. hm just for the record, i've seen you commenting in a lot of other u2 videos. if you hate them so much why don't you just forget they exist and go watch and comment some other videos of some other GREAT band ? it's getting ridiculous you know

  • I'm the one with the problem? Ha ha

I am not the one with all the bono videos on my profile. i am not the one who call herself marianaHewson you ficking think you are married to Bono

Oh please dear, you are obviously the delusional freak here

  • @kellykinsel Why are all people called Kelly ignorant gobby slags??

  • Geez what a stupid comment. But what do you expect from some toothless Brit moron

  • They used to be much better when they kept their mouths shut and just played

  • They do keep there mouths shut, how often do you hear about anyone except Bono? How many bands you know that can make great music over 30 years since they started out?

  • you just contradicted yourself, idiot!

" They keep their mouths shut except Bono"

Hey how many hit songs from the new album? Oh yeah, not one!!!!

GO read the amazon reviews and see how people hate it and think they stink now

  • Actually I didnt say that at all. People have known who Bono is for years, the other band members stay private. I dont really care if their new album isnt to everyones' taste, I like it. You're the idiot because you obviously cant read.

  • yeah, people tottally hate them now, that's why they've been selling out stadiums all over europe AND america in the past months (again, they've been doing it since ever) you say people thnk they stink now when they are playing for 90000 souls every night! now tell me, how is that possible ? as kiereemon said, how many bands can still be on top doing great music (you must be deaf) for over 30 years ?

  • hey fool, if you knew anything aout touring you would now they are playing less concerts. I live on N California and they are n't showing their faces here! And why do they not come to a major part of the USA? Oh yeah, they know they can't seel it out here. The chicago shows had tickets available the night before. They can still attract ppl to their shows but they are nothing like they were before. Ppl are not going to hear the new stuff it is for the old stuff and we all know it

  • they coulda called themselves the electric co......whew.....this is electric...

  • axeman edge pullin dem riffs man!!!bono full power mullet-raaass!!!

  • This is why they are the best live band in the world!

  • A truly brilliant performance of one of their greatest early songs, Bono's voice was at its absolute peak.

I cant WAIT to see them (at last) this year at Sam Boyd ... ACHTUNG VEGAS, BABY!

  • This is a great U2 Classic...and a great version of the song....if you have not followed U2 from the beginning then you just dont get it.....period.

  • Its not that rare, I've had it since 1986??

  • There are more talented people than Bono but nobody has got his heart and passion. He is amazing. Only Elvis had that thing with the audience that u can compare

  • u2 inspired my generation axeman edge slams this tune!!!!

  • ah back when the mullet was cool and they rocked hard. i miss this era of U2.

  • Hey Nusrahussein I think you are in-sein. If you are against both Gulf Wars, fine, but you are crazy to lay blame only on America and not on Saddam. Saddam is responsible for more deaths than the wars are.

  • Recovering Catholic? Are you a Martin Luther follower and do you believe christianity started 500 yrs ago?

  • the only thing more impressive than the guitar work in this awesome song is Bono's mullet

  • If you want to know where edge got his style listen to Alex Lifeson...Rush.Still a great guitarist.

  • Actually..... I think you have it the other way around... I read an interview with Alex Lifeson and he said one of his influences is Edge, even though he came after. As I recall, he said "Edge did things with delay that no one else could" or something like that...

  • Hmmmm,lol..interesting..I will give that edge does some pretty neat things with delay...He always uses two Korg processors..old ones.A3's i believe...Both are incredible players..i just happen to like Lifeson more.

  • Larry Mullen Jr is the greatest rock drummer of all time.

  • Edge has a tone and style more identifiable and pure than Lifeson.

Edge's guitar sounds like little icecles,waves...it's very visual.

Lifeson, although has some cool stuff,is more orthodox and his tone just isn't good outside of the early days when he cranked amps for his tone.

Edge capatilized on the AC30 tone and delay instinctively. He found simple things overlooked.

  • edges guitar sucks ass man!

  • Yeah!.....doy.

  • yea and pizza tastes nasty when ur drunk

  • You suck ass!

  • I'm not a religious man--I'm a recovering Catholic ;) --but when he breaks into Amazing Grace it sends chills up my spine right out the top of my head. Fucking amazing. How can a band be that good? How is that possible?

  • God blessing them, that's how. Ever wonder how they sing about Christ, but get away without being called a christian band? I wonder too... By the way I am a recovering catholic too. 20 years.. Now I just have faith in Christ..

  • I dunno. I want to believe in a higher power, but there is just no evidence of God, no proof, so we can't say things happen because of Him. There are thousands of religions on this planet all purporting to worship the one true God, so, do the math. If God exists I'm sure He/She/It has more important things to do than bless rock bands anyway. ;) U2 sing about God, but not in the typical Christian sense. Wake Up Dead Man is about as cynical song about God I've ever heard. (After XTC's Dear God.)

  • My dear friend, there is MORE proof for the reality of God than you know. I don't say that in a mean spirit, The fact that you want to have faith, is the starting point. Read the New Testament Or Read "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel. Lee was a HARDCORE Atheist. It will help. No arguements, No debates, Its just what I found, I've been looking for.

  • It's not that I want to have faith. I can't have faith in anything that is not scientifically provable. It's just that it would be nice to know there was someone out there looking out for us. I haven't seen any evidence of that. Just as there is no rock-solid proof of the existence of UFOs, ghosts or Bigfoot. Although, at least we have video of those! ;) BTW, I know you're not being mean spirited. Just 2 adults having a civil conversation about God on YouTube. Which is a miracle in itself!

  • Amen to that!

  • whats a miracle is that most people dont know who horus the egyptian god and was around before jesus and how the bible ripped stories from his life.

  • Cool

  • my friend why dont you goto the middle east, look at all the suffering junior Bush has caused by bombing innocent civilians in Iraq. Do you know that senior Bush was responsible for 100, 000 civilian deaths in the first Gulf war and junior Bush is responsible for close to 300, 000 civilian deaths.

God bless Bush. And god bless all the white middle class americans that get brain washed with military propaganda and goto Iraq just to fire a gun and shoot people. God bless america.

  • STFU and enjoy the music.

  • Mullen Jr, doesn't hit the rider for the middle part of the song. Instead he focuses on hitting the high hat only. Still amazing.

Greatest rock drummer of all time.

  • greatest rock drummer of all time. mullen jr.

  • Adam has only missed one show... ever. That was in Australia during Zooropa after a night of too much drinking.

  • thats not adam clayton lol

got this on dvd real powerful vocals

the best decade of u2 by far

  • Of course it's Adam.

Great live version of a good song

  • they need to release this show on dvd

  • my coglions

  • amazing

  • Hey the edge with hair!!

    Very cool song and vid.

  • Its Roland from Tears for Fears. This was back when Poodle Mullets were all the rage.

  • lolol

  • Why does everyone keep saying that isn't Adam? Sheesh. Anyways, this is my favorite live performance of Electric Co.

  • WOOH

    THAT WAS'NT ADAM

  • no its bill of course its Adam lol

  • @ajvox Damn there just burning it down with this version

  • Man, U2 rules!

  • I have listened to other drummers. And comparing them...Larry Mullen Jr is the greatest rock drummer of all time.

  • 2 words.................Stewart Copeland

  • @bol316 copeland is a jazz drummer really, he tries too hard in rock. during the live performences you can tell hes trying to show off, or jackoff in jazz terms

  • that is Adam Clayton.

  • can some buddy tell me what happened to Adam Clayton here? why did they changed bassist?

  • That's him. His look changed a bit during the "Unforgettable Fire" tour. He gained a bit of weight and wore thick glasses. By 1986 he had cut his hair real short, wore Lennon specs and lost some weight. Simple enough.

  • Thank God for U2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • u2 we loved.. another u2.. u2 at their top. and one of 2 or 3 best u2 live footages ever... ever. just music, just rock....

  • Thanks again. If you have more songs from this concert it would be the best thing on youtube. please put up more stuff.

  • Thanks! I love those unforgettable fire videos.

  • oooo yer,,, rock on!!!

  • Hosdurga - I suggest you listen to some other drummers !!

  • I dont understand how this guy could be like this.

Mullen Jr is simply the greatest rock drummer of all time.

This song, just highlights his technical skills with the drum kit. Wow. I am still amazed at watching him hit the kit.

  • the title of the torrent is called "a fire in dortmund". great gig. pictures from this concert were used in the videos for 'bad' and '..homecoming' on the unforgettable fire singles video.

    hope that helps.

  • Bono. Lord of the Mullet! Bow to him. All who has had a mullet must bow! Do it now!

  • the gig is in dortmund, west germany, think its out on dvd. available on bittorrent network.
