He didn't consider the issue of efficiency. We feed animals crops until maturity when we could simply save the land and food needed to raise them and simply eat the crops. Honestly, from listening to Immortal's music, what I can decipher is, he doesn't give a shit about animals. He never really mentions anything about the meat industry. He cares about human rights, not how animals are treated. Notice at the beginning he says, "being vegetarian should never be associated with being revolutionary or being open-minded." Also, to people saying that some vegetarians are overweight he says SOME are very skinny. And some veggies can be holier-than-thou assholes.

do so. When done correctly, a vegetarian diet is healthy, if not healthier than a mainly meat based diet. Being a vegetarian/vegan can be associated with being open-minded if you're doing it for the right reasons, as it shows you've taken the time to consider the implications of eating meat. When it comes down to it, people that eat meat do so because they place their own happiness over the life of an animal, which is just plain wrong.

Immortal Technique is a good musician, but he certainly isn't a forward thinking person. First, he claims that he has no problem with vegetarians, then proceeds to claim that all we eat is grass, moss, radishes, & tofu and tell us that we should get the fuck off the planet because we don't eat beef. Second of all, being vegetarian is a dietary choice but first & foremost it's a moral choice. We choose not to eat meat as we believe it is wrong to kill animals to eat when there is no real need

@NeoDada4 I think you have misinterpreted most of IT's lyrics; he DISTINCTLY argues that there is nothing wrong with vegetarianism, but rather the issue lies with individuals(such as moby) who are trying to force their way of life onto others.Yes, you would be quite right IF your quotes were correct, but you have misquoted him quite severely which isn't fair. If you reread(any of) his lyrics you would find he is a fantastic skeptic and critical thinker, a trait which most musicians lack today.

I don't have a problem with vegetarians, i quite like the idea of not killing animals, its just the ones who are so narrow minded they dont realise how hard it is to adapt, and how hard it is not to get pissed off when they turn their noses up at everything someone says if they're not a vegetarian. @TheGirlsWithBrains I grew up on those traditional and I have to tell you that One Bull per hundred cows is a good ration. The farmer would often have two or three bulls and two to five hundred cow that were all bred with these two or three bulls. The reason this is OK is because animals have a much high amount of genetic diversity than humans do. we can't really thing of breeding animals the same way that we do humans because Humans have the lowest amount

In this video he is describing a form of oppression. To believe that no one on the planet should eat meat is as oppressive as the government not allowing gay marriage or not allowing the same right to people of a different color like they did the blacks up until 1969 (well even to this day really).

@SinghofKings I get your point about oppression, but I still think that the case with this song is rather unjustified. Vegetarians who want to convert people do tend to be more extreme than their omnivore counterpart, but from what I have experienced, there are way more omnivores who constantly poke fun at vegetarians and tries to convert them. IT trying to make omnivores appear as "oppressed" makes me think of some conservative trying to make white men appear as oppressed in today's society.
