  • the drummer kinda looks like robert smith.

  • @TADGELL

Probably not as muh a whining wuss though LOL!

  • I may be dating myself here, but I once requested this song on Muchmusic and they played it! Spoke on the air with Steve Anthony too!! I remember he asked me if I was going to dance around my living room or something! I said "no man, I want to see the video!" He laughed...

  • who is Steve Anthony?

  • saw them in 88 with The Mighty Lemondrops opening

    great show!

  • such an underrated band

  • one of the songs I play when I pick up and acoustic.

  • Ahhhh MAN!!!! YEAH! Who saw them ever at "The Ritz" NYC....Thumbs Up!

  • I saw them open for Jane's Addiciton...most of the audience seemed more interested in them than the headliner.

  • this song effin' rocks!

  • Thanks ever so for this

  • i am so delighted that you posted this...it is difficult to find the full version(with the animated intro and the surrealistic pillowfight between the beepeople at the end), particularly one that isn't terribly pixellated...

  • I'm a turd. Back on the Express tour I bought a ticket to see them for twenty bucks. I thought afterward it was too much and went back to get a refund. Idiot.

  • these guys kick ass but i can never compare them to bauhaus.i guess no one can if u like this music too

  • msut be one of my all-time favorite songs.... thanks for posting!!!! :-)

  • I remember this in Miami Vice.. with Crockett being chased in his scarab speedboat... this fast beat song was perfect for a speedboat chase!!

  • Middle bee got pwnd in the end

  • The Bubblemen!!!

  • WOWSAAAAAAA---what an incredible song/video...it kept psych music alive

    amidst the MTV onslought

  • why does this take for ever to load...?

  • reminds me of seevic 6th form college.

    back in the 80's

  • one of my all time favorite songs

  • Loved this album and song. I think I listened to it every morning getting ready for school.

  • It's so cool how Ash is a "lead guitarist" yet I never heard him play a single solo with scales. What a great band.

  • ~ My favoritest love and rockets song.

  • Alcohol is my yoga, too. Its far more comfortable and helps me achive a point of 'meditation' far more quickly.

  • korrekter Sound!

  • Express changed my life. Such an experience.

  • They tore the house down in Portland in the 80's! Great show, so wild. Transcendent, psychedelic, and profound. Amazing band.

  • This song is made for open highway top down driving!!

  • EXPRESS my favourite album

  • AWESOME!!

  • Such an underrated drummer! So anti establishment. So anti cock rock. Music as art! The art of drumming. Not just beating off.

  • I got a big smile out of this one!

  • the beauty in the hurricane's eye!

  • stupidest' video

  • saw them with the Mighty Lemondrops and the Bubblemen!

  • Ocean City, Maryland, 1987. I was 17. A head full of LSD and these guys on the stereo whenever we had a chance....

  • I watched and Loved this band until now so what do we do now?

  • The drummer's super cute and that's all that matters.

    And it's a good song

  • This song has aged well!! <3 <3 Love & Rockets!

  • SEATTLE couple times. :)

  • WHat a wild video very upbeat love it lots.

  • L&R were frickin' AMAZING!

  • pardon me while i get on my soapbox: WHY DID'NT THIS BAND GET HUGE? THEY HAVE MORE MUSICAL ABILITY IN THEIR TOE NAIL CLIPPINGS THAN ANY 10 BANDS YOU WANT TO NAME! AAAAAARGH! thank you i needed to get that off my chest.

  • @elilichtenberg I so agree,

  • @elilichtenberg I so agree, the music is amazing! But today we have to endure seeing the top 40 artists sell millions when they should be slapped and told that they are a lie

  • Alcohol is *my* yoga...... baby.

  • rockin song....just so good. ty

  • Saw Love & Rockets, and The Bubblemen too! San Diego State Amphitheater in the mid 1980's.......

  • Dont believe in Yin Yang & no longer care for the ILLUMINATI black & white checkered floor but, this song brings back A LOT of great memories....

  • @eatatmargos .... Robert Anton probably liked 'em. Maybe threw them an apple...

  • @Crimeyfied LOL it would have been the ILLUMINATI throwing the apple bro.

  • i like this video and song very much

  • Someone has taste in music. We will always have L&R Vic.....this is one of my faves also. Nice seeing you yesterday. 69 Baby!!! LoL the measuring tape on the sidewalk

  • Comment removed

  • I GOT THE CHANCE TO SEE THEM AT PALLADIUM 14th STREET N.Y.C IN THE 80,s

  • "beauty, beauty, beauty, beautiful" . i love this song so much. i never get tired of it. "Express", imo, is L&R's best work & also it's one of my fave albums of all time. such a solid album, not one bad song on it. i still have it on vinyl from when it first came out. i'm aging myself by saying this, but i really love the album. but i use to have the L&R's video comp. on VHS tape, but someone stole it from me and i miss it a lot :( so thanks for adding this video here.

  • "ALCOHOL IS YOUR YOGA BABY"

by far one of the best lines in any song ever. and it doesn't hurt that Daniel sings is so slow and sexy!

    L&R <3 forever!

  • I saw them at Red Rocks with The Godfathers. Awesome song!

  • @ThunderHeadThor me too! great gig, werent they both playing basses? one on super fuzz and one like a lead

  • @Gedemondas

O.K. so Kevin Haskins is the Flowerpot Man. Which one is Yin? And which one is Yang?

Great song! Heard it a few times back in the 80's. Didn't know the name of the song or the grossly under-rated group that did the song. Found it thanks to a search on Daytripper-Daniel Ash 1991, that I did a couple of months ago. All of the sudden I found many of the Love and Rockets hidden treasures, as well as the outstanding short-lived Tones On Tail collection.

  • @Gedemondas I saw them in Los Angeles for that very same tour. I must say that at the time I was really disappointed by their self-titled album. So Alive seemed like such a sellout.

  • @ThunderHeadThor Yin and Yang Awesome Favorite!! Best LOUD :)))))

    Are they still doing Gigs????

  • @ThunderHeadThor I saw that tour in FL in '89 too! Then I met them in 95. Daniel Ash was the coolest of the 3. David J and Kevin Haskins just said "hi" and bounced. Ash came out, took pix with us, and we talked for about 10 min (we hid out behind the club till the bouncer told him we were out there waiting. He just came out and introduced himself) Coolest guy ever...

  • @jotacalvo That's wicked. Imagine a rock star being humble enough to go out back of a gig and talk to fans in the alley. Not only is Ash one of my favorite guitar players. He is also one of the most underrated ever. He was one of the first minimalist players who understood that the guitar could be used to convey atmosphere rather than just being used as a self serving wanking tool. Double Dare, Bela Lugosi, MASK, Daniel could do more to disturb you with a few notes than any other player.

  • @ThunderHeadThor That was an awesome show!!! I got to go back stage( am friends with the Godfathers)

  • mjgood-one-This takes me back about 24 years. I love these guys.

  • I love the Bubblemen, I wish all this music could come back, it has always spoken to me.

  • This song sounds sick on a good system !!

  • @7777dmith7777 I used to spin this @ The twilight Zone @ 143-145 db 5'

your shirt would move!! :D Bass would create a natural high and you could still talk

I also had my dance floor created to look like the video Good times;))))

    Thanks 4 post Gedemondas!

  • @7777dmith7777 true that. it's also a great song to drive to. although because the song is fast, it makes me driver faster when i drive with this song on, but at least i never got a speeding ticket as a result, surprizingly. lol. but it's one of those great songs to drive to.

  • @j7609 YA man LOR kicks ASS !! No other band can touch thier style and class.... Alchohol is your yoga baybbbeeee .............SWEET !!!

  • no se encuentran bandas asi hoy en dia

  • no se encuentran este tipo de bandas en estos dias right

  • Tabs? It's two chords! B maj, and E maj.

(ok, an A maj in the verses now and again.)

Tune your axe, finger the B chord and just play the rhythm for four hours until you feel it.

  • @pazmusik hahahah :D

  • Anyone have the tabs for this song or know where I can get them?

  • Still one the most underplayed, underated bands of all time. Pure talent.

  • Yup.. I am angry that Love and Rockets never got the credit they so deserved. Ask somebody if they ever heard of them and they will look at you like (Who) !! They kick ass...

  • Makes me wanna put on a bee suit and kinda shuffle around the pad rythmically... maybe leave the blinds open, freak the neighbors out :)

  • what a great acid trip

  • Man these guys are the stuff that make awsome music...bring back memeories of the annex and Central Tech

  • black and white checkered floors, are amazing! daniel ash you're a genius!

    <3

  • Takes me back to whne life was easy. Saw 'em in 87 in a small club in manchester, one of the best gigs i've been to. Thanks for the memories mr poster

  • @UrbaneG Me too! I saw them in my home-town of Regina, Canada, my room-mate being the gig booker. I was one lucky guy! Brilliant!

  • heh....bo-diddly on acid is quite an apt description....well done song regardless....this album produced several gems.

  • Bo Diddley on acid

  • Simple video, catchy song. Thats what rock and roll should be.

  • The BubbleMen RULE!!

  • Alcohol's your yoga, baby!!!

  • What abiut the Bauhaus?????

  • Just love the bass in this song!

  • sahsuahsuahsuahsuahsuahsuahsau ilarious but amazing^^

  • saw them in 88 with the Mighty Lemondrops and the Bubblemen Great show

  • Oh my god. Me too. I saw them on that tour. In Los Angeles at the Universal Amp. It was my first concert.

  • I envy so much the ones who had the huge enormous luck to see this band on stage!..i still remember 18 years old watching on video the show at the london marquee...feelling my mind actually blowing!..Why Argentina were so fucking far away from this MONSTERS!!

  • fine, fine, fine, fine, FINE band!

    ~ Dave from the States!

  • Kevin just turned 49 the other day... We are getting older 80's brats! Love this band so much - their music is a signpost that travels with you, not stuck in time...

  • goddam unbelievable, isn't it? 25 years ago seems like just yesterday...

  • love love love this song..love drivin on the freeway to it....i saw them in the late 80's in oakland...i will never forget it!!...love them.

  • that is such a cool white acoustic guitar i have a white bass guitar

  • yeah, good stuff..

  • Love & Rockets ALWAYS manage to fucking BLOW MY MIND!!! If there are TWO things that I really fucking LOVE about '86 & '87 is the fact that I got to see this FUCKING-TASTIC band in concert!!! My God!!! Talk about them being in TOP FORM ( musically as well as visually!!! ) They're just such fucking GORGEOUS/ SEXY boys that blow your fucking mind to the point of no return!!! Fuck, Kevin is so fucking STUNNING!!! I'm just realizing it NOW even MORE... God I LOVE these boys!!!

  • fuck...

  • I agree with you totally PM!

  • There is something incredibly HOT about gender-bending men... I can't quite explain it but Daniel Ash is soooooo cute, especially in this video. And I don't find men sexually attractive... LOL... so, I'm freaky.

  • Easily one of the most talented, and most underated bands, in the last 20+ yrs. Even people who don't have a clue who they are, unknowingly, like at least one of their songs. Jazz, blues, (esp. David J.),punk, country, rock, they can do it all. This creates the diverse music of Love and Rockets that not many bands even attempt. Or, are capable of.

  • damn!

  • omg, love and rockets is new world order.

  • forgot all abou this ..good .memories:)

  • Love it! Almost forgot about this song!

  • The Beethovens of late 80s rock...mozart you wanna f**k something...Beethoven you wanna conquer something...yes?

  • sounds like a 60s song

  • This song is the best for driving E -W across highway 401 in Tdot. I usually look down and find the speedometer sitting at 160 kph! Classic!!

  • 16omph in what car? amuse us. idid 67 in my z06 it had HUD so ididnt have to look down. ive gone faster but that was lately, i hit 179 in one of my vipers

  • Osama-Bin-dude! Read the comment, man. It says 160 kph. That "k" is for kilometres per hour, not miles. I'm fast, but I'm not an asshat driver! Since you asked, it is a '95 Jag and yes, the speedo goes to 260 (again, Kph!). Literacy, man - you're doing it wrong!!

  • ok. i go fast alot so 160 MPH isnt that unbelievable, but thanks for clearing it up !

  • For Sure!!! Best driving song ever. Just makes you wanna drive faster and faster!

  • They were just as awesome live, no drugs needed. True 80's phycidelic! LOL!

  • Amazing bass line - great musicians

  • this is by far one of their most impressive songs to see live. i saw them do this in the late 90's and it was soooo incredible. and half way through the song, Daniel's mic started slipping, but he just went with it. he slid down singing in time as the mic slid down. it was cute and funny. the auidence got a kick out of it.

and by the way - "alcohol is your yoga baby" - i love that line!

  • XD That is adorable. I didn't care for Love And Rockets at first, but I think I'm starting to 'get' them. This song and video puts a huge grin on my face. :)

  • I've never actually seen the video for this before, since it came out "before my time". I like it; it's cute and surreal and fits the song well. Dan is deeleeshus, and I love Kevin's doofy smile :)

  • l agree with you too !! there is hope ?? hmm

  • I miss these days of good music and creativity.

  • I don't think the big labels do.
